We stayed here 2 years ago (August 06) and its was and still is (August 08) the best campsite we have ever been on.
Lovely and clean, very friendly staff, lots around to do, great BBQ area, we had a electric hook up, grass pitch under a tree right next to the toilet block.
We took our bikes and peddled along the river. It was really nice, there are lots of cycle routes for all, some with fairly steep hills though not many.
We hope to go there again next time we visit family in London.

Visited site during May bank holiday. Site was pretty busy but still able to pick our pitch. Great site next to river and easy walk into Chertsey. Pub next door and across river (over bridge). Great food in pub. Garage across the road where you can buy essentials and papers. Good size pitches - plenty of space. Some traffic noise. Very helpful wardens who show you to your pitch. Train station in Chertsey which takes you to London. Have stayed here twice and enjoyed both times (although not very good weather in May). Great sanitary facilities although did have to queue for showers for a few minutes. Small play area for children (swings etc). Supermarket in Chertsey and many pubs/takeaways etc.

This was our second time this year we had gone camping. Our last experience was rather wet but we knew the weather was going to be good so at short notice we booked to go to this campsite.
At first glance it's a lovely site, the people behind reception were friendly and helpful, the toilets and wash facilities are clean and warm with lovely hot showers, we camped in a seperate but small area for tents that was quite sheltered but got the sun too.
BUT.
Why, oh why has nobody ever mentioned the airplane noise? They were taking off every five minutes and this went on from 630am to 1130pm, all weekend! It would have been ok but for the fact that we have a 3 year old and a 11 month old so you can see why this would be a problem for us. It's a shame because otherwise this was a lovely site, close enough to London to pop on a train and be there in half an hour, but plenty of other things to do in the local area if you fancy doing something else.

Its our third visit, and we love it. It's quiet enough for adults to relax, and friendly enough for the children. We watched a canoe race whilst we were there, and walked down to the town centre. Plenty of shops within a 5 to 10 min walk. We love this site and will be going back time and time again.

This was the first time I have been camping in years and years so I chose this site as it was not to far from where I live in Chiswick and we were only staying one night. For some reason they gave us a hard standing pitch which I could not understand as they new we had a tent and there were loads on soft standing pitches around the site. I wanted to go and ask the wardens why we had been given that pitch but my girlfriend told me not too as there must be a good reason! and lets just say some of the pegs were very hard to get in so I pegged some in the lovely green grass around the hard standing pitch!. The site was also a bit pricey compared to over campsites I looked at and the camp shop was a couple of shelves!
So thats the bad points but there were plenty of good points.I thought the toilet block was very nice and clean and the little wash cubicals were a great idea and the campsite itself was very nice to look at and walk around with lots of trees and the staff seemed ok. Went to both of the nearby pubs and they were both very nice and the garage opposite the campsite came in very handy. I tnink this campsite is better if you have a Caravan or Motorhome.

We chose this site as a base for visiting Legoland and central London with our two young children.
On arrival we were asked if we would like to pitch near the toilets or play area for our children; we chose the later. Later in the day I noticed one of the wardens helping a single parent and two young children to pitch their tent.
The campsite is mainly hardstanding, but there is a sizable grass pitch area too. I also noticed a number of fully serviced pitches with electric, water and waste. We chose a standard hardstanding pitch with EHU. The hardstanding area was wide enough for our Dandy folding camper with our car alongside.
The washroom facilities were excellently equiped and spotlessly clean. The shower cubicles were quite roomy and there were also washbasins in individual cubicles. At one point in our stay the main block was being cleaned so I was directed to the second block. This meant there was always a toilet block open during cleaning time. There is no shop onsite; however there is a garage opposite the site selling basics, as well as a Sainsburys and other shops in Chertsey itself.
On one evening we took a short walk (5 minutes) to the nearby Kingfisher pub where we had an excellent meal and good service. On another evening we had fish and chips from the takeaway in Chertsey.
Legoland is about 20 miles from the site. Our boys really enjoyed our day there. However I think £120 admission for a family of four is expensive. We saved Tesco vouchers and used them instead.
On a couple of other days we visited central London. Weybridge railway station is about 15 minutes drive away and trains into London Waterloo are frequent and take around 30 minutes.
In summary we really enjoyed our stay at Chertsey. The site is in an excellent location for visiting London and other local attractions.

Spent a few lovely days here whilst visiting family in the area. What a find! The facilities were great, very clean and spacious toilet block with large shower cubicles. We enjoyed some really good walks and enjoyed a drink in the local pub on our return even more. Set by the river it would be superb in the summer.

Stayed here over the Easter break! Despite the awfully cold weather - wind, rain, sleet and snow, the site was fully booked, from what we could tell
First visit to a CCC site!
Check-in was prompt and staff polite - I paid Barbara, whilst hubby was directed to our pitch by Barrie. Entrance to the pitches, was via a secure, pin code operated, automated gate system.
Had a super service pitch (No.12), which had water, electric and waste. Was a large hard standing area - plenty of room for a large caravan and large awning! We were near to reception and one of the immaculate toilet blocks - site was awarded 2007 winner of the Loo of the Year!
Other more modern looking block was a similar distance, again with immaculate toilets, showers and lockable, basin only, cubicles. Also has 2 Chemical waste disposal units, 2 washing up areas and a laundry room, with washing machine, dryer and ironing board/iron! There was also a recreation room, with a TV in. No on site shop.
Rubbish, is near the exit gate and has various recycleable bins.
Lovely views along the river, with plenty of ducks, geese and swans!
Ate in the nearby Kingfisher pub, across the water /over the bridge. Great food and service!
There is a petrol station opposite the site entrance, that does the basics, e.G. Newspapers, milk, etc, as well as alcohol! Also does the lottery! Had a chinese take-away (Jasmine), from the local town centre (Guildford St) and also shopped in Sainsbury's, which is about 1 mile from the site.
Bought Wi-Fi for 24 hrs for £6 and the warden Barrie really sells it to you! Although, not quite sure it's as he sells it. It was supposed to 'stop the clock' from when you logged off, (and then when you logged on again, it re-started), but we found despite logging off from the login page, it didn't stop and literally after 24 hrs, time was up! Maybe we weren't doing something right?
Overall a great site and would definitly recommend. Will probably re-book!

Went to this site on Sat 1 March. First time on a C&C Club site.
Just bought a new tent and was desperate to try it LOL!
Got there to be told that while the site was open all year it didn't take tents before Easter (Gulp - ring before travelling in future). After a while looking for alternative sites that might be open the Warden came out and offered us a caravan pitch with grass behind we could put the tent on. I was more than happy with that option - it was a great pitch near the loo's (didn't have the problem with kids mentioned elsewhere - but this is early in the season!).
We had a great night there despite the wind. Lovely site and very helpful and friendly staff.
Didn't hear any planes or motorway noise and it was lovely watching boats going along the river.
Can't think of anything critical to say to be honest. I love Tesco's and there is an extra just a short drive away. If you ignore the brown and white signs to Thorpe Park and use a map it is really close. Half expected to see the top of Stealth (the big coaster). We did pop down to see how far it was LOL.
Great site with great staff - Glad I am a member now.

We decided on Friday morning to take the caravan away for the weekend, but being half-term most places were full or too expensive. I did a little searching on-line and found Chertsey Camping & Caravanning Club site, after reading the reviews I rang and booked us in.
After getting stuck in traffic through Old Windsor we arrived quite late, but wardens were helpful and friendly and showed us to our pitch in the dark. The directions that were given off the website were very poor, I am glad I used Multimap.Com to find our way as we don't have sat.Nav.!
They allocate you a pitch, we had pitch 42 lovely pitch hard standing right next to the River Thames, views across to Chertsey Lock. The planes weren't to much of problem, the noise of the weir hides the M3 motorway which you can see from our pitch. The showers & toilets were clean, I would have liked the water a little hotter in the shower but it was OK.
Our two children enjoyed themselves as our pitch was opposite the children's playarea - two lots of swings and climbing frame and slide. Lots of wildlife on site - ducks, squirrels, swans & geese.
Would recommend the pub just over the bridge The Kingfisher - we popped in there on Sunday for lunch after the wardens gave us an extention to 2.00pm excellent roast £7.95, they also have full menu available.
Will go back, hopefully in the Summer.
