Just returned from our first visit to this fantastic little site. The owners are very helpful and always available to answer any questions.
The facilities are clean and modern and serviced daily.
A nice pleasant walk over a couple of fields to the local pub (The old reindeer) in Edingley. Food was good.
As in previous reviews the approach lane has been re surfaced but is very narrow.
The reception has a lot of information leaflets for local places of interest, it also has an icecream fridge with an honesty box for payment.
We will certainly be returning at some point in the future.

This was our second visit to New Hall Farm and the visit was just as enjoyable as the first time. Our name was not on the board, the rain had washed it off, but a phone call to David soon rectified things. Pitched in the tent section with the electric lead through the fence and a superb view.
The showers are huge so no wet clothes and the water was always hot.
There was loads of reading material in the unmanned reception and a small freezer.
Spoke to David And Jill a few times during our three night stay, nice people making time to talk to people even when they were busy on the farm.

Just back from 4 days at New Hall Farm, it was our fourth stay at this great site,
Jill and Dave were the perfect hosts as usual, despite the fact that they seem to never stop working they always have time to say hello. As it was the Jubilee bank holiday weekend we finally got to sample Daves legendary hot beef baps, and also Jubilee meringues - all fantastic, and served by Jill and Dave (who was sporting a delightful Union Jack waistcoat!)
Great facilities, clean, peaceful, lovely scenery, lots of owls, handy for local shops in the village of Farnsfield. We also noted that the access road to the farm (New Hall Lane) has been resurfaced since last year - good for those of you with caravans.
Not the cheapest site but well worth paying a bit extra for. We love this place and will keep going back again and again!

Wow, a truly great site. We received a warm welcome from Jill, the site owner who offered to help us set up our tent, although we didn’t need any help. She also provided with a welcome pack that was useful and interesting.
Although a working farm, Jill’s husband Dave also taken time out of is busy farming schedule to also welcome us a little later on, he is also was lovely chap.
Situated on an elevated secluded site high on a ridge in the rural countryside. The campsite as spectacular panoramic views. The best thing of the site are all the walks, with many footpaths leading off or around New Hall Farm.
The shower/toilet block is lovely & very clean place with the showers being very roomy. The hole block itself is small with the gents only having 2 toilets and 2 showers and so we both had to wait for a toilet 3 times and a shower twice (this was over the Jubilee bank holiday and was full).
There is an “outdoor only” washing-up area, nice & very clean but not very nice if it’s windy or raining as it is north/west facing. There is a freezer at Reception, full of Thaymar Ice cream which you put your money in an honesty box. Not very good when non hook-up camper’s need room for their ice packs. I must say I’ve had Thaymar Ice cream before at the Chatsworth Horse Trials and they are yummy!
We went on a walk to the 'Reindeer Pub' in Edingley about 1. 1 mile away and had a huge carvery at a reasonable price with a huge choice of meats, pies and veg. Lovely place, beautiful food and friendly staff too.
The hamet of Halam has a pub too the Waggon & Horse. A lovely pub with good home food and a mile away from the end of the drive down a public Byway. Farnsfield is a bigger village with a very popular family butchers, a bakery with buns you’ll drool over, a co-op, a newsagents and a lovely charity shop.
There really is wildlife all around you, wilst out walking, we seen a fox with 2 cubs in the distance catching a pigeon for dinner. The campsite itself had lots of birds and pheasants running around too.
Visited the Minster town of Southwell, a truly beautiful place to visit with lovely shops, but we didn’t think the same about the a lot of the staff. We was greeted with some rude service. And after befriending a couple in the Minster over a chat, they too also said; staff, have been rude and snobbish like to them too!
If it wasn’t for us visiting this beautiful town then it would lie and then where will the woman be!
Will definitely be going back to New Hall Farm!

What a great site, we received a warm welcome from Dave the site owner who helped us and our friends to set up our outfits and provided a welcome pack.
The views from the site are panoramic. The best thing of the site are the walks, we walked into Farnsfield a small village with a very popular butchers, a bakery with buns you can put pounds on just drooling over, a co-op, a newsagents and a lovely charity shop.
In the afternoon we went another walk to the 'Reindeer Pub' in Edingley and had a huge carvery at a reasonable price with a huge choice of meats, pies and veg.
We will definitely go back to the site, the shower area is better than any huge commercial site, plenty of room, temperature controlled and clean.
Reception are with local leaflets of what to do in the area, loan of books and a freezer with Thaymar Ice cream which you put your money in an honesty box.

Tucked away in a quiet and unspoilt area of Nottinghamshire New Hall farm is just the ticket for a relaxing weekend away.
Nice pitches with plenty of room, very clean washroom, showers and toilets.
The owners of this site were very helpful and we felt nothing would be too much trouble if we were to have a problem.
Reliable electric hook up and good water and disposal points.
There were no Children on site as its an adults only so please be mindful of this when considering booking.
Wood available for levelling if you've not got your own and a reception with plenty of information on the local area.
One in our book of recommended visit again sites.

This is a beautifully maintained site in a picturesque setting with the best toilet block we have ever used!
Our pitch was very large with plenty of space around it and our views over rural Nottinghamshire were amazing.
There was a very convenient field in which to exercise our dog.
The owners were both very friendly and welcoming and happy to help and give advice whenever needed.
The toilet block was spotlessly clean, well looked after and very warm, having radiators to keep off the Spring chill. The showers were huge. All in all a great site and we're looking forward to our next visit.

Returned today from our first visit and it wont be our last. Site has excellent views and plenty of ehu points, (free loan of extensions if yours is too short). An excellent welcome from Gill, who arrived with a 'welcome folder', shortly after our pitch had been easily located from the arrivals board, and clear markers. The facilities are some of the best we have ever seen, clean warm and well kept. Despite torrential rain whilst preparing to leave, Dave made a special point of introducing himself to us, his eagerness to please his guests goes without question. To answer some earlier reviews, Dave has now installed a more powerful pump to improve water pressure, and the road resurfacing equipment arrived as we left. A gentle walk down into Farnsfield, (about 40 minutes), brought us to the Lion public house. Very pleasant and welcome 'mid walk' drink.

Just had a 2 nights stay at this fabulous campsite, as others have noted, stunning views,
Immaculately clean wash facilities, the showers though not much water pressure are very hot and absolutely huge!
The site owners make you exceptionally welcome and are genuinely warm and friendly, one of the best times we've had camping,
Got to mention the Old Reindeer pub, great selection of cask ales, and the best carvery you will ever eat!
Don't take any notice of the bad reviews, because this campsite is as good as it gets.

What a delightful site. We wanted peace and quiet after a family camp the weekend before and we got what we wanted and more. The site is small and welcoming and the facilities are excellent.
Yes, the water pressure is low but that is pointed out by the owners. It is a working farm but the owners still find time to come and check on you. An earlier review said that David's appearance wasn't smart but I have yet to see anyone work a farm in a tuxedo
The site is peaceful and relaxing with fabulous views. The wife is recovering from a heel op so we could not take advantage of the Old Reindeer but we certainly will, next time.
The only hesitation I have in recommending the site is that we would love to keep it a hidden gem - but the owners deserve all the success they can get. We'll be back!
