 Really nice site great views

Nice guy to talk to, the owner checked if we were ok

Facilities where spotless every day clean and tidy.

Lots of info in the little 'hut' guides and suggestions etc etc

Really central to all the good places we visited southwell, nottingham, newark and newstead abbey but to name a few in the week we were there they are all within a short drive.

So all in all a really good value, clean welcoming site with great views and good location for places to see.

Adults only so this made it more peaceful

Negatives. Nup cant think of any !

New to touring. First outing. Ths is the first site we've been to and it's my favourite already! It's small and quiet with beautiful views of surrounding countryside. Facilities are very clean and the owners are extremely helpful at getting your van level on this uneven ground. Everything everyone said in previous reviews is spot on! Loved it!

 Nottingham

Lovely quiet farm site with brilliant views, gravel hard standings (likely to need levelling blocks) excellent large clean showers (2 in ladies), helpful owner. Quite narrow access road but good visibility ahead when verges cut. Lovely local walks and country parks for dogs nearby (Sherwood, clumber and rufford).

 What a lovely site!

Friendly owners, more than willing to help and rightly taking pride in their site and immaculately clean facilities.

Beautiful vistas, peaceful environment and walking distance to local villages with decent pubs.

Although it's only up the road, we could have been a world away.

Very pleasant owners and other campers. Seems everyone was there for the same reason, quiet and views. The price was very reasonable. I would imagine in the summer, it is a lovely place to stay (weather was a bit miserable when we were there). The loos and showers are clean and fit the purpose. We liked Southwell (do visit the workhouse and the Minster), the residents and shopkeepers all very polite (coming from London, how often do I get told in a shop 'nice to have met you' !). Got a bit confused on where site was as I don't have a satnav, but found it eventually. Overall, would like to return when it is el scorchio.

Just stayed at Newhall farm over the Easter holiday. A fantastic friendly site Dave, his wife and son can't do enough for you. On arrival they helped us to level up had a lovely grass pitch number 22 got the sun all day. The toilets were spotlessly clean at all times a well recommend adult only site cant wait to go back. There's loads of walking from the site and the Reindeer pub is in walking distance dog friendly and the carvery looked lovely. A little gem of a site well done Dave and family.

Peace and tranquility is the key to this site, perched on top of beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside the views are amazing especially sunsets.

Fab facilities with showers / Toilets etc in superb order.

The usual requirement of a local pub with good food for us is just a short walk away but testing if you struggle walking as you need to get back up the hill.

An on site cabin with tons of tourist information along with honesty box for eggs, ice cream etc is also an advantage.

Would we use again? absolutely, we have done so 3 times so far.

Just back from our second visit this year to New Hall Farm. The owner met us on arrival and directed us onto our pitch. We chose to stay on the grass this time - it was very dry. Had fun levelling the 'van with the wood blocks and bricks provided, and even more 'fun' getting back off them when we left! (The site is more than a bit uneven!). Great views from most pitches.

Very tranquil; we walked to Southwell on Saturday - a delightful little town with small shops and cafes, as well as three or four pubs. Only downside - the return walk is uphill!

Site facilities always clean and never over-burdened; information hut has many leaflets on local attractions. The owners are very friendly and appreciative when you take an interest in their farm.

Very definitely a site we will visit again next year.

Friendly welcome. Lovely situation with great views. Very good showers and facilities for Tents, Caravans, Motorhomes or Camper-vans.

Peaceful site with plenty of wildlife. Saw hares in the field and heard owls every night.

We love children but it was a good place not to have any around.

Would recommend this site and look forward to visiting again, would make a ideal stopover but that would be missing its true value.

 Peace

Tranquilty

Icecream

Perfect!

But UKCampsite.co.uk wont let me just post that

Had a very lovely relaxing few days stay

Entrance in to New Hall Lane does just spring itself on you so keep a watchful eye particularly if coming from Edingley!

Pitches are indeed a little unlevel but the kind lad found us a hardstanding level pitch

Enjoyed a nice pint at the Old Reindeer and an Ok meal at the Wagon and Horses in Halam

Did I mention the Icecream??
