The site is up a quiet lane and well signposted from the main road. Ours is only a short motorhome but access is good for units of all types.
As previously stated, it is tranquil with great 360 degree views from the hill top. The toilets and showers are large and kept clean at all times. Water pressure is low in the showers but just about enough to wash in. The shower cubicles are large with benches and hooks.
EHU available and if you haven't got a very long lead they will offer to help.
This is an Adults Only site and seems to have a lot of repeat business.
Good food at The Old Reindeer in Edingley (approx 1 mile, mainly across fields). The Waggon pub in Halam was closed for a private party on a Friday night, so I don't know if you can rely on this one.
It's about 2-3 miles walk from the site to Southwell along byways then a moderately busy road with long stretches of pavement. The 'Final Whistle' pub in Southwell is a superb ale pub and a lovely place to sit and chat over a great selection of beer. It is alongside the Robin Hood (ex railway) trail and you can take the longer route back to Erdingley.
As others have said, a lovely site and we will visit again.

This was our first ever touring caravan trip and our choice of New Hall Farm was a good one. Our Eriba caravan has the door on the 'wrong' side so Chris (the owners' son) put us on an appropriate pitch. The site, as everyone has previously stated is very tranquil with virtually a 360 deg view from the hill top site. The toilets and showers are excellent and kept really clean at all times. Water pressure a little low for showers but so what? The water was hot, the shower rooms huge with benches to put clothes on 25 hookups available. This is an Adults Only site and all the people we spoke to on site were very friendly and appreciated the tranquillity. Good carvery at The Old Reindeer in Edingley and really excellent food at The Waggon pub in Halam. Well done David, Gill and Chris. We can highly recommend your site and will visit again.

We really enjoyed our visit earlier this month. The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Pitches are quite spacious and due to the elevated position the views are fabulous. The toilet and shower facilities are immaculate and clean.
There is plenty to visit in the area, including local walks, Southwell Cathedral, The Workhouse etc, we also visited Newark and Hardwick Hall, all very good.
As the site is part of a working farm, children are not permitted but as a retired couple this suited us fine.
We will definitely be returning.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing Bank Holiday stay. My husband and I, as well as our 2 pooches, thoroughly enjoyed our stay in such a picturesque setting with excellent panoramic views.
The toilet and shower facilities are excellent; being both spotlessly clean and heated also. The neighbouring villages are quaint and can be accessed from the numerous paths and bridle ways that lead down from New Hall Farm.
David and Jill work tirelessly in making sure that the site is in impeccable order and that all the guests are made to feel welcome, with their presence albeit fleetingly but that's all that is needed. They live in the farm buildings that are to the side of the pitches and can be contacted at all times.
I think I speak for most visitors, irrespective of their choice of accommodation, New Hall Farm is an absolute gem of a site. It's the only site I know where tranquillity does actually exist. A complete escape from reality. Selfishly, I'd rather others didn't know about it though!

Just returned from a much needed chill out weekend at New Hall Farm.
This lovely countryside site is only 30 minutes from home, but is far enough away to get away from it all!
The owners were very helpful and friendly, welcoming us and making sure we were parked up OK.
This is an adults only site, and very quiet and peaceful as quite a distance off the main road along a farm track.
The showers are very large and spotlessly clean, as too were the toilets, and indeed the whole site!
Ok, the water pressure was a little slow, but didn't make showering impossible.
Dog owners will love this site, as there are walks surrounding the whole site area. I walked down to the village and back with my 2 dogs, which took just under an hour.
We are returning again after Easter.
Happy caravanning

A lovely farm site located on top of a hill with beautiful views. We had a level hardstanding pitch. The site is very well maintained. The owners were very welcoming. Even better we turned up on a Tuesday which was a discount price night which was an unexpected bonus.
It's a great site for walkers and dog owners with lots of paths close by some with welcoming pubs not too far away.
The site facilities are very good. Sadly the owners can do little due to their location about poor water pressure which make showering not a particularly good experience.
We didn't know the area but were very pleasantly surprised. The local villages are lovely, Southwell was wonderful with it's Minster and I even managed to keep my shirt after going to the races!

This site is not far from our home. We use this site to just get away from the rat race and chill out. It is a lovely peaceful site, the showers are nice and big, water pressure is low but there's plenty of room to get dry, no standing on a wet floor. The owners are very friendly and come round the site occasionally, always willing to have a chat. A mix of hard standing and grass pitches and I believe you can tent with electric hookup. There are great views from the site and if you like to walk there are lanes and paths leading off site in all directions.
Southwell is less than 10 minute drive away where there is shopping, restaurants and pubs. There are a few pubs in the local villages where you can get a meal.
Dogs are allowed on site if they are quiet and friendly and it's an adult only site.
Would recommend this site to anyone.

WE've just enjoyed another return visit to New Hall Farm. It's a couple of years since we last visited, but David remembered us, made us welcome and helped us site the 'van.
This site sits atop a hill overlooking rolling Nottinghamshire countryside in all directions. (Would have been an excellent site for a medieval castle!). Facilities are good and always clean. Peace and tranquility abound, whilst there is little light pollution on site except at the toilet block.
Villages of Farnsfield, Edingley and Halam - all with their own pubs serving food - are all within a mile or so walking distance. There is a bus stop at the bottom of New Hall Lane with a (roughly) hourly serve to Mansfield, Southwell and Newark.
We visited the new Civil War Museum in Newark, but were disappointed to find that only about a third of it actually related to the Cromwellian conflict. The rest is a blatantly political swipe at Western involvement in modern day civil conflicts. It's not worth the £7 entrance fee.
Other than that, Newark is a pleasant market town with good shops, some nice tea shops, and an active market. (A few nice pubs as well!)
For a get away from everything peaceful break, you could do much worse that spend a few days at New Hall Farm.

This has to be one of the nicest sites we have been on. A bit of a bumpy road up to the field but that's to be expected on a farm. A large field around which we were pitched, slightly inclined but plenty of planks and blocks supplied to level the units. The toilets were immaculate, large showers, all in all lovely! The owners leave your name and pitch number on a blackboard and very soon appear to greet you, so friendly and helpful. It was so quiet and peaceful, there some distant noises off but it is all working farms for miles, beautiful! You must visit this, it was a camping delight, because the site is rural, fellow campers gelled and conversations abounded, that's what camping is all about and the owners help this along. Fabulous time spent there.

This site is an absolute gem of a find. So quiet and peaceful.
The toilet block and very roomy shower cubicles were spotless as was the rest of the site. We stayed Friday to Monday and enjoyed every second regardless of the rain. Edingley village is a short walk through a field where you can walk your dog as well. The water pump failed at one stage and we were informed straight away. Bottled water was offered free of charge during this time.
The owners of the site are very friendly and approachable.
We WILL certainly come here again.
