Fantastic site, views breathtaking, clean and tidy.
Owner's very friendly and helpful.
They have a summer house at the top of hill and we never get bored of the view.
Southwell is a lovely place to spend the morning or afternoon at.
Pubs close by too.

Loved our 4 nights at this relaxing, quiet site with the most gorgeous views.
The dog exercise field is massive and our GSD Doris loved it!
Loads of walks right from the site.
Owners Mr and Mrs Brown are so friendly and helpful. Helped us site the caravan and gave us maps and directions for walks and shops etc nearby.
Toilets immaculate, lots of handwash which was welcome as we visited just before all caravan sites had to close due to Covid 19.
We will definitely be back once the sites are allowed to reopen! :)

As previously described the views from this site are amazing, and amazing too are the friendly owners, eager to help pitch up and provide helpful hints and tips about the area.
Situated in a superb position for walking and sightseeing alike, with a great dog walking area.
Nearby you have the Southwell Trail and the Robin Hood Way and many other interesting walks. Nearby is the impressive town of Southwell and it's amazing Minster and workhouse.
A few miles away is the Popplewick Pump House a superb example of living history - and to the north Thoresby hall Lancers museum.
Showers and toilets are exceptional both warm and clean with a good outside washing up area with piping hot water.
The Old Reindeer pub nearby is dog friendly and good for a carvery and the Saracens head pub in Southwell is also dog friendly and has superb food - and steeped in history.
So much going on in this area a return visit is a must.

It's clean and tidy and professionally managed.
The shower water I couldn't get cool enough for me, but in every other respect I was satisfied with my stay and would recommend it.

What a find, just a perfect small site, the views from all pitches are wonderful, the walks are fabulous, they are perfect for dog walking.
The view of the sunset from the viewing gallery is just lovely they have chairs you can sit with a glass of wine and take it all in.
The wardens are very friendly, they helped us set up and get us level. They keep the site and the toilet block immaculate.
I would highly recommend this site, we will be back for a longer stay very soon.

Fabulous views. Great site with lovely walks on the door step! If camping take ear plugs.
Bird scarers in the nearby field are very loud and start before 5am!

Management response: Thank you for your review.
We're pleased you enjoyed the views and the walks but sorry you were disturbed by our neighbour's bird scarer.
It is only used very rarely when absolutely necessary to deter pigeons. The "nearby field" you mention is over half a mile away. |

Wow what a gem – we’ve just spent our best weekend of the season at New Hall Farm. Peaceful, adults only and stunning views across open countryside. There’s an honesty box for delicious locally made ice cream and lots of local information in the reception.
The only criticism is the water pressure as others have mentioned, although not brilliant it is adequate to enjoy a shower and the facilities are always clean and well-maintained.
The approach lane has passing places, although it can easily be missed from the main road. I would recommend this site to anyone looking to get off the beaten track and unwind for the weekend – we’ve already booked for 2019!

What a gem of a site, started with a very friendly greeting from the caretakers shown to our pitch and given very useful information. The site is not regimented and as long as you stayed within your pitch boundaries you could face any way you wanted.
The toilet and shower blocks were kept immaculately clean, the only small point was the water pressure in the shower but it was adequate. A great position to visit the surrounding areas of Southwell and Newark, as well as walks along the Trent.
We will definitely be returning in the future
