Went here for 4 nights and wish we could have stayed for longer. Very nice site, well set out and spacious pitches. Well stocked shop and all the staff were very friendly. The toilets and showers were excellent and cleaned regularly. The site is about 4 miles from the nearest town but is set a the middle of the forest. There is also an outdoor pool on site but it was a bit chilly for that when we were there. We will definitely go back in the future and would recommend this site to anyone.

Just come back from 4 days at Wareham Forest Campsite. Very impressive surroundings and the access to the forest was a definite plus. However, it is a very large campsite and therefore lots of cars coming and going all the time. Also the loo/shower block was not up to the standard in my opinion too many campers and not enough cleaning!). Very nice open air pool though and there is lots to do in the surrounding area.

The site is in a great location and has good facilities. Two toilet blocks - clean with nice hot showers. Swimming pool - water was very cold though. Also has a small shop with the usual food items plus camping and caravanning stuff you may need.
Childrens play area was large and nice - sand in the play area was more like builders sand than children's play sand. Daughter didn't seem to mind though and was happily playing in it.
The site is really more of a caravan site with marked out bays for the units. The tent area consists of a wooded area ( where we pitched) and a more open field. The field got a bit crowded with tents. I would have found the site a bit crowded if we hadn't pitched in the wooded area. We had loads of space there though and seemed very secluded from the rest of the site.
The wooded area did not have EHU.
The location is good for visiting the beach at Poole and Bournemouth is only about 30mins drive away as well. There are no shops or pubs within walking distance (apart from site shop) but there is a great bike trail which can be accessed from the site.
The site was expensive - they charge for the tent plus an amount for every person. Worked out to almost £30 per night for just the three of us.

Just got back from our third visit to Wareham Forest in as many years.
Once again we had a wonderful time, even though it rained for the first 3 days. Drainage on the site was good and the one small muddy area was immediately roped off by the staff.
The site is immaculate, you can see why it has 5 roses/flags. The landscaping is well tended to and everywhere is kept spotlessly tidy. We had a look around other sites in the surrounding area but none were a patch on this one.
Showers and toilets are spotless, cleaned regularly and they have a bucket and mop with disinfectant water by the showers so you can give your cubicle the once over yourself so make sure it's clean.
The pool and patio area is lovely but if I could complain about one thing, it would be the water temperature, it's been quite cold every year we've been!
Shop is well stocked and in the summer months they bake fresh croissants and baguettes every morning.
Security is good too, you are given a unique password to enter the site so unwanted visitors are kept out.
Highly recommend, we will be back!

Had another great time here 10 days and it is still not long enough, site is as always clean, tidy and kept in great condition. Toilets clean and if timed right not to busy for showers, good thing there is 2 large toilet/shower blocks. Staff friendly and will stop and have a chat and answer any questions. We enjoy the quietness of the park, glad to hear they won the regional award from AA again they deserve it.

Stayed for a week at Easter. Must say we really enjoyed this site (booked to go back next year), good size pitches, plenty of water and waste water points.
Children's area - not that many swings etc but ok and safe. A huge playing field for the children to play in. Good size swimming pool, but not open due to out of season. Children's indoor play area.
Toilets, showers, etc. All of good clean standard, the usual basic blocks etc. Never to full to use.
Roads within the camp site are all shingle stones, well marked out with good lighting.
Security is very good, a pin code in needed to obtain entry and exit off the site via a barrier. Keeps unwanted visitors out!
The best part of this site was the area surrounding it, you could walk for hours and hours, we seen a number of deers, rabbits and a lot of other wide life.
Dogs are very welcome at the site, numerous dog walks, short or long.
Wi-fi was purchased but we could not get a signal even though we were advised we could. One to watch!

Just back from an excellent weekend at a really great site.
Nicely set out and even though the site was full we never had to wait for showers or washing up facilities.
Noise controlled strictly after 11 and no naked flames after 10.30 monitored every evening.
Very friendly staff in every area and we really enjoyed our stay.

Just sitting in my tent on laptop and thought I'd write a review of this site. We've had a great time here for the last 4 days, gorgeous weather helps but it was very cold last night (2 degrees). Lovely site, well stocked shop, WiFi (extra charge). Caravan pitches neatly arranged, great playground, swimming pool not open at this time of year. Washing up and laundry facilities excellent. Lovely walks and cycling close by. Only 2 potential negatives. The table tennis room is only open with the shop (til 5.30) and the camping field is currently at least half under water. This isn't a problem as there are only about 10 tents here now - but if it was busy and wet in the summer there would be a problem. Generally great place, would return

Visited end of August and early September for 1 week, not terrific weather, but site fantastic. Pitched on Hard Standing, so no trouble with rain. Toilet and shower blocks always very clean and very well equipped. Shop well stocked and reasonably priced. Site wardens very friendly and really helpful, even helped us put our pegs in the awning as the ground was very hard and we were experiencing difficulties. Security first class. Wonderful surroundings for dogs, walking and cycling, site ajoins the forest. Will certainly visit again.

We have just returned from a long weekend staying at Wareham Forest. The weather was absolutely awful and rained solidly for 48 hours. The camping area was almost completely waterlogged which made it very difficult for us to find a suitable pitch. Eventually we settled for an area in the forest which was ok, although very muddy. The lady on reception wasn't that friendly and told us that we wouldn't get our money back if we decided to leave early because of the weather, which is fair enough but there are more pleasant ways of telling this!
The shower blocks were really clean and stayed this way despite the rain and mud - although there were only a handful of people on the site. The block to the right of reception as you approach from the camping field have the best facilities. A point for the girls though - the hairdryers provided are absolutely useless. There are some sockets in the laundry, which cost 20p - so bring your own would be my advice!
The shower blocks were a bit of a trek from the camping field, especially through the water and mud so we ended up driving to the block all the time, which was a bit of a hassle.
The shop on site is good, especially the croissants and pain au chocolat in the morning. They offer a freezer block exchange service for 30p plus a £1 initial deposit.
As mentioned in previous reviews you can hear a bit of road noise and on the Thursday night there was a lot of tank noise, although the rain on our tent soon drowned that out.
For a meal out, try The Martyrs Inn in Tolpuddle. We had a lovely fish meal here, not cheap but really good.
Plenty to do in the area, we got the steam train to Swanage, Corfe Castle, Monkey World, Lulworth Cove, Weymouth etc etc and there would have been plenty more to do if the weather had been better.
Overall, an excellent site but one to be avoided in the heavy rain if you are camping.
