We thought we'd give this site a try rather than stay on the CC site a little further down the road as were are BoB members (Best of British) and they sometimes do offers/deals. We got £1 off per night for this trip, although it's still not cheap!
On arrival we were booked in quickly by the friendly staff and given a map showing where our allocated pitch was and further information about the site. Our pitch was hardstanding and large, close to water, waste and bins and not far from one of the toilet blocks (there are two - North and South, North being the posher one!). 4 showers in the ladies, 6 toilets and 6 privacy cubicles. All nice and clean. Laundry and plenty of sinks for washing up all housed inside too. Shop on site, with plenty of essentials and camping bits. Oh and they are licenced! Daily papers can be pre-ordered each day. No delivery charge.
Lovely nature walk (complete with poo bins, although there were still plenty that didn't pick up!) that takes you directly into Wareham Forest. We took our new electric assisted bikes with us so biked into the forest and onto Wareham Quay via quietish residential roads once off the forest track (Sika Trail). The next day we biked around the forest and hardly saw a soul. Gravel tracks are very bumpy though so beware!
The nearest pub (The Silent Woman) is a 2 mile trot through the forest or 1 mile down the very busy 'main' road (far too dangerous to walk or bike!). We had lunch sat outside watching the traffic whizzing by! Nice food, nice staff. Doggie friendly but no kids allowed inside (bonus!).
Talking of kids. On the Friday afternoon/evening, once schools kicked out, they descended upon us in their hoards and the tranquil site turned into a playground. Free range they were too. It's not the sites fault but if we returned we certainly would only stay mid week/out of school holidays because none of them seem to know how to behave these days and as far as we could see the parents were as bad!

We stayed for a week with our 4 year old grandson. The site is lovely and although fairly expensive was good value with the pitches being a very good size. The shop has most things you would need and the swimming pool was super with tables and chairs round. Shower block modern and kept nice. Easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. Would definitely come back again, and would certainly recommend it.

We spent 10 days here, most of them wet. The warm welcome from staff really cheered you up though. Every staff member you met was helpful and pleasant. The pitch was good, services excellent and toilet block good with lots of hot water. Interesting nature walk around the site. Part of the site is superb and well laid out. Pitches around us were a little regimented with us all in lines - but at least you got to meet others quite easily. We felt the wifi was a rip off - very expensive, very slow. That would be the only criticism.
Not too far to Wareham which is a really nice market town. Would recommend the Thai restaurant -beautifully cooked meal.
We would definitely recommend Wareham Forest and will return.

Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff on this site. They go above and beyond the call of duty and are always happy to help.
The facilities are as excellent as ever. Clean toilet and shower blocks (we have never had to queue), a well stocked shop, great kids area and woodland walks a plenty.
A quick drive up the road takes you into Wareham itself with some lovely restaurants and a trip to Arne Forest is highly recommended.

Arrived in the snow but had a brilliant time there staff were very helpful friendly and above all approachable. The facilities were excellent, the toilet block was always warm, much appreciated on those cold snowy mornings. The cycling and walking from the site is excellent. The pitches are generous in size and would recommend this site to anyone. We cannot wait to try it out in the summer months so as to try the outdoor pool.
Wareham town only a short drive from site, all you need is there. Would recommend the kings arms for a drink, but wouldn't recommend the rajpoot indian restaurant as the food there was rubbish.
You wont be sorry for staying at wareham forest

Nice friendly site. The park staff are helpful and polite. The park itself is very clean and tidy the main shower block is fabulous but block b isnt quite as good I used the b block and the shower was loose and the attention to detail in the cleanliness isnt as detailed. It's a shame there isnt a restaurant and bar this lets the camp site down. There is a nice park and a nature trail over all we had a nice weekend. The nearest restaurant is over a mile away.

This is a very nice site with excellent showers and toilets and lovely walks, but in my opinion it is crying out for a few more facilities. It is 3 miles from Wareham, at least a mile from the nearest pub and on a fairly busy 50mph road with no passing public transport. Unless you have packed a bicycle or two, for which this site is absolutely ideal with it's links to the National Cycle Network paths, you are restricted on evening entertainment. I feel that this site could really do with a small on-site restaurant/bar, and possibly a franchise for a local cycle hire business to operate from the site too. I know the modern trend is for everyone to huddle around their TVs in the evening these days, but if you don't want to do so, you are forced to drive quite a distance off site to seek alternatives.

We used this site for a brief 2 nights try out on our first ever trip and were very pleased with it.
The site is in a lovely location adjacent to the forest with a very natural feel to it.
Lots of woodland walks, bird feeders, flowers etc.
The pitches were flat and spacious with plenty of room to afford some privacy.
Very close to the lovely town of Wareham and also a great location for exploring further afield.
Swimming pool looked great although we didn't use it.
Shop sells most of what you would need and a fish & chip van visits some nights.
There is a pub you can walk to, looks like around 30 mins walk.
Staff were very polite and helpful, showers & toilets were pretty good.
The only real noise we heard in the night was an owl!
All in all a great site.

Short and simple, this is the second year of visiting, first choice by far.
After visiting many touring sites with good ratings, we feel that this site with all its immaculate facilities (it even provides a fresh herb planter for campers to pick at ther will), the friendly staff, a lovely area, centrally located for local towns, beaches and beauty spots makes this site stand out even amongst others in the area.

What a fantastic site.
Just spent a glorious ten nights there, felt very secure and great facilities. Showers don't have that annoying push button to press, it's the little things.
Our 5 yr old daughter and friends 5 and 3 year old loved the pool and play area, especially the sand. Lots of walks and forest to explore.
On arrival at site there was some confusion over pitch booking and initially we were not beside our friends pitch. Spoke to staff and they very were very helpful and resolved the issue for us and made our stay and my wife happy.
Lots to do and see in Dorset for all the family, young and old. All within driving distance, but own car is a must, great central location.
We are definitely returning next year, highly recommend.
