Easter 2004 and June 2004 First time we came here it was absolutely freezing! Woke up to frost on the ground (we were in a tent!). Second time we really enjoyed ourselves. We have 4 children (8, 7, 5 and 3) so camped by the road next to the play area. This was great and we didn't find it noisy at all! The children were given money each day and loved spending 20p in the little shop picking out their sweeties! (Very patient shop assistants!) The receptionist and all the staff seemed really professional and friendly - and even remembered us on our second trip (it that a good thing??!!) Lovely cycling in the forest and Studland Bay is only 20 minutes or so away. The co-op in Wareham itself is small but had everything you need. We love this site although a little far from us but if we're in the area - it certainly is GREAT (apart from the mozzies)! Definitely see you again!

24th - 31st July 2004 I visited this site on my own with my three boys. (Although Jaffa helped me to set up and take down the TT). I found the site to be friendly and well looked after. The toilet blocks, washing up area and Laundry were all clean with an abundance of hot water. The Swimming Pool was also very clean, although a little on the cold side for me, my boys managed to go swimming at least twice a day. This site is well placed for places to visit, eg Monkey World and Ludlow Castle. My only niggle is that the pitch seemed a bit snug, but my Cabanon Atlantis TT is rather big. We still had a great holiday and would consider revisiting this site again.

June 2004 Very good site excellent for young famalies and those that want peace and harmony in a beautiful area. Try to camp away from the stone driveways around the site for even with the most carefull of drivers they are very noisy especialy at night. Otherwise enjoy!

June 2004 We visited this site for a couple of nights and thought it was lovely. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The showers were excellent, although it was very quiet at the time of our visit and I am sure that there would be a need for more showers at busier times. The toilets were very clean and there are plenty of them. There is a lovely play area for the children and a trip into the forest is a must! The shop is small but well stocked on the essentials and there is a small cafe to save you from the cooking. We had a very relaxed and peaceful weekend at this site and the kids loved it. We have already booked to go back.

June 2004 Stayed here for a weekend on a basic (non hookup)tent pitch. We were able to choose from several allocated areas where to pitch and found a wonderful spot in the Glade. The pool was not open when we stayed, which was a shame as it looked lovely and there was a seperate small pool for little ones. Although the toilet blocks were clean, always stocked with loo roll and plenty of hot water for me they were very slightly on the basic side (been spoilt at a few other sites recently)- they could have done with more space for hanging clothes or sitting kiddies when getting washed and dressed. The camp site was immaculately clean and considering the size was not noisy. The kiddies play area was great probably better for slightly older kiddies. My 5 year old and our friends 8 year old spent hours playing here but it was bit too challenging for my 3 year old, but she was happy just digging in the clean sand. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Good shop on site selling all the basics and more. Ice block hire at 25p + £1 returnable deposit. All in all a very good site which we will return to.

June 2004 First impressions count - as you drive into the campsite it looks clean, tidy and well laid out. Friendly reception and resonable information given about where to pitch etc - Facilities limited but clean and well maintained - plenty of free hot water. The staff in the cafe/shop friendly and very helpful especially to the kids, although the stock in the shop was limited.
We went with another family and found it to be an excellent base to explore the surrounding areas - the park itself is very child friendly with a good play area and lots of woods to explore. The only downside lots and lots of midges in the evenings - so take the insect repellant!!!

June 2004 Stayed for five nights with my wife and four children. The fifth night being one extra so we must have enjoyed it. There is a lot which is good about this site and there are a few of bad points. The swimming pool was closed but we were notified by post, before we went, that it would be. The manager offered us a full refund on our deposit if we wished to cancel. The site was reportedly full however there was lots of space and there was no attempt to pile as many people in as possible. There was a friendly welcome and maps were given to us of the site. The kids were able to play near the tent and were completely safe. The shop was well stocked with emergency supplies and was very clean. The workers were strict about the 5 mile an hour speed limit. I know because I was stopped for going 5 miles an hour over the limit. There was plenty of hot water and the showers were generally clean.
The bad points. The shower block did not have enough showers and every time I went I had to queue. The roads were very poor on the site and dusty and covered with several stones. The ground around our tent was very muddy around our tent after an overnight downpour. We even made emergency repairs. There was no weather report posted anywhere. I asked the staff several times about the weather and no one had a clue. I also asked in reception for the local camping supplies company. They sent me to a caravan shop 10 miles away that had nothing I needed. We were in the glade area and it was a fair distance to the water tap this partly being our fault because we did have a choice of pitches.
This campsite has five stars and work needs to be done to keep those five stars, I feel one may disapear. Overall it was a good campsite, quiet on a busy bank holiday weekend and a perfect base for local attractions.

Aug 2003 This was our first visit to this site, a recommendation from a friend that had visited earlier in year. We found the receptionist very polite and helpful giving good directions as to where you could pitch the tent. The facilities were clean and site cleared daily of rubbish etc. As with all large camp sites it could do with more showers, but these worked well and were kept clean. Good facilities for washing up. Pool was quite cold, our week holidaying was just as the hot snap decided to break, so could have done with pool being hotter. The staff were friendly and cafe/shop fairly well stocked, good to offer hot food ie burgers and chips, saves cooking and washing up! our son loved the wooded areas for biking, as did a lot of other children on site. We will definately be visiting in 2004. It was nice being able to pitch (if wanted to) amongst the trees.

September 2003 We are the new owners! We originally owned a 5 star, David Bellamy Gold Award, quiet Family Park in Cornwall. We are obviously very disturbed to read some of the reviews on this web site, and would like to update everyone about the Park.
The main concern appears to be, quite rightly, the poor unfriendly reception our guests may have received in the past on the Park. The people in question have recently left the Park. The atmosphere and friendliness on the Park has improved dramatically, and we want to offer a tranquil family park with quality facilities (free hot showers and soap!) We would welcome any more up to date reviews and comments, to help us make the park a relaxing place for you all (campers included) to enjoy your holidays.

Stepember 2003 Just returned from a lovely week at this site. Lots of bad reviews which I think may be directed at previous owners. New owners since March 2003 and we found the site to be very clean and the staff very friendly. The shop had a limited selection due to the time of year, but there was fresh bread available in the morning.
This is a fabulous location with easy access to the forest and lovely food is available at the pub down the road, we will definitely go back.
