Spent our may bank holiday weekend here, kids loved the playparc and we had a pitch right next to the woods, saw lots of wildlife! Facilities were spotless, it was too early for the pool season but had excellent trips to Sandbanks, Monkey World and Farmer Palmers farm park. Lovely and quiet in the evenings, very relaxing stay, would recommend. Only problem was the crunchy gravel which meant the kids had a hard time on their scooters!

August 2005 I can only repeat the excellent reviews for this Site. We spent a week here and it was blissful. The whole site is clean, the facilities are cleaned regularly. The bins are emptied every day, and the water taps are convenient. We had an electric pitch for our trailer tent, it was flat and well drained.
Our children quickly made friends, and we felt safe as they played around the tents. There is a large play area and playground for all the ball games, within easy reach of the tents. We walked straight from the site into the Forest, which was lovely. In the evenings the site is full of wild rabbits grazing around the pitches. The Site is 3 miles from Wareham, and you do have to drive to get anywhere, but the surrounding area is so beautiful you want to explore anyway. We will definitely return to this Site in the future.

July 2005 well after reading other reviews on here we fully expected a lovely relaxing break however on arrival we found we had been allocated a grass pitch next to the very busy road which woke the whole family about 6.30 every morning The campsite was heaving which meant the toilet block always seemed to be awash with water from the showers, and too many children seemed intent on running us over on their bikes add that to the dogs which kept peeing up the tree on our pitch and its fair to say it has put us off returning

July 2005 This really is a fantastic site. We were recommended to the site by our friends.(Thankyou) We only purchased our 1st caravan this year and have not looked back since. The site is immaculately clean, with plenty of taps and waste water points. The shower blocks are always very clean. The laundry facilities are also very good. (Just what you need with 5 kids!!) The staff have always been very helpful to us everytime we have been there and we have not encountered any problems. A real family site and the children love spending weekends at the site aswell and love the park and the swimming pool. The shop is ideal if you need provisions and has essential bits and pieces for your van should you need anything. The site is in a great geographical location to explore the area. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

July 2005 This site is clean and tidy. Hot water is plentiful and always available, so long as you dont mind queuing to use them they are excellent, if not badly positioned for the camping area (they are nearer to the caravan area which do not need them so readily). Its peaceful, flat and has good walks from site and surrounding areas.Facilities are cleaned 3 times a day and rubbish is collected 3 times a day peak season.Shop has basics. Be warned though there are no hot food takeaway / eat in facilities on site.

June 2005 Visited this site mid-June. We were very lucky with the weather, which would have made any trip great, but the campsite certainly made the weekend special too.
The top field (for non electric hookup) was big, which provided pleanty of space for our tent, car bikes etc. The facilities were nice and clean, the shop stocked sufficient items and was reasonable and the pool was great. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
It is great for visiting Studland Bay and Lulworth cove.
Lovely pub a 15-20 minute walk away(for us with the kids anyway) – the Silent Woman – great food (if a bit pricy)
We will defiantly visit this site again. The only down side is the mosquitoes – there certainly seemed to lots – they were almost unbearable on our first night – we invested heavily in various potions and this helped a lot – but still could not sit outside your tent for too long after dark.

July 2004 Very nice clean site. Toilet/shower facilities clean and pleasant to use. good space around caravan pitches. Pool not heated so in the lovely summer of 2004, even the kids wouldn't go in! Shop only open at weekends out of school holidays. Site is literally in the forest, so fantastic for walking straight from the door, the site dog exercise area was Wareham Forrest, and our dogs couldn't have asked for more! Very enjoyable fortnight.

September 2004 I’ve just come back from a long weekend at this site. Where to start…
Firstly, the weather was great and that always helps.
The site looks great when you first drive on and you know it’s well looked after. First impressions really do count and they don’t let you down. What a beautiful site. This is probably the nicest, best looked after, best looking site I have ever been and my only regret about the whole weekend was that I had to come home.
The facilities are of an exceptional quality and the other guests were friendly.
I suppose I should write some downsides for the sake of balance.
The site is a drive to get anywhere, but it is along a quick road so five minutes gets you to a shop.
Some of the pitches on the top field are a bit of a trek to the toilets.

August 2004 We have just returned from this site in what was probably the worst weather of the summer so far! We were in a tent and as we didn't require hook-up were able to pitch anywhere within certain areas. There are no marked pitches for tents so no-one was right on top of anyone else. It is a lovely site, no noisy club house, so if you want evening entertainment you will have to go out. The shop was small but good for necessities, with ice blocks for rent. The pool was clean and tidy but as the weather was so bad we never got in it!
The showers were clean and tidy and must have been checked at least three times a day however there are only eight female and eight male showers on the entire site. We are early risers and so avoided the queues, but they did get busy. Just one niggle - in our shower block only one sink had a soap dispenser - so you have to take your own soap even if you're just popping to the loo!
I would return to this site again.

July/August 2004 Just returned from a 10 day visit.
Ideally located for Poole, Bournemouth, New Forest or Wareham Forest and Lulworth.
Site can be noisy during main summer hols, due to families, but excellent to see people keeping to noise curfew at 11pm.
Lovely flat pitches, toilet / shower blocks very well kept, plenty of hot water.
Stoney / gravel roads a bit noisy, but as they are nearer the caravan areas didn't bother us to much.
Due to 2nd part of roads being mostly dirt, dust actually blew everywhere (3rd part is grass).
Would fully recommend this site.
Small shop was excellent, very friendly staff, cooked food was lovely.
