Agree with others - excellent site with great outdoor pool, clean good facilities and nice walking out from site. Possible let downs could be depending on where sited long trek to the loos or some road noise, and for our weekend stay had to leave at 10.30am despite asking if we could extend.

Have just come back from a lovely weekend at this site. The shower blocks were immaculate with plenty of hot water at all times. The staff on the site could not have been more helpful. The official leaving time is 10.30 am which I thought was a bit harsh. But I asked 'permission' and offered to pay extra to pack up later and they said it would not be a problem and did not charge me any extra. It helped that no-one was booked on our pitch. The whole site looks well cared for, clean and tidy. Will definitely be going again.

Very good site. We went to this site in May, the weather was horrendous (60mph winds and rain). But this didn't spoil our enjoyment of this site. We were located in the south field and we took our dog, it was great as we had direct access behind our van to forest walks, that start from in the site and extend into numerous trails throughout wareham forest. Our pitch was huge and had easy access to the spotless showers and water / disposal points. Site was quiet, (maybe the weather). Good location - near to Wareham (for groceries/fish and chips etc).also very nice beach at Swanage. Also close to Studland Bay (but national trust beaches to you have to pay to go on them) Would highly recommend this site to those who like peace and quiet (in low season) and for those who van with their dogs.as ideal for doggies!

We visited this site the week before the may bank holiday what a lovely site, very clean, hot showers, everywhere was spotless, A tranqil setting felt relaxed once we were set up. verg good central location for nearby Poole, Bournemouth, Swanage, Lulworth Cove well worth a visit. Quite a busy main road, the times we were overtaken dangerously either leaving or returning to site, totally crazy! I can honestly say that was the only down side for us thought it was worth a mention. Site was starting to fill up on the Friday ready for the weekend, owners seemed to be working hard adding finishing touches planting out etc. We will definitely be going back. Lovely pool, good Playarea for the Kids , lots of wild life, early morning walks with our westie pup Ruby, you can see rabbits with their young, woodland walks just wonderful a cracking site!

Just returned from site and although the British weather was to be expected (cloudy and cold!) , the site could not be faulted. Camping numbers were restricted due to some of the areas being a tad water logged but because of this everyone had a nice big pitch away from any puddles. The site was very clean and the shower and toilet blocks were spotless with loads of free HOT water. The shop, although small, did stock the basics that you would need and over the Bank Holiday wkend freshly baked croissants and bread was available every morning, lovely. The pool was open and very clean although freezing! The setting is lovely with direct forest access and bunnies hopping all over the place. Excellent site, would return.

Aug 05 was our 3rd visit to Wareham Forest. On our 1st visit the pool was out of action but as the site had such good reviews we still went, and did not regret. The pool is lovely, the shop stocks the regular things you would need.and the staff are friendly The park is good and there is room to play cricket footie etc around the park area. There is a room you can go to play table tennis or to sit in if it happens to rain.
The only thing I would say lets the site down is if you are in the far field in a tent it is a trek to the loos. There are 2 big loo blocks and these are clean they have a mothers and baby room so you can bath a baby and take the pushchair in too
All in all a good site

We just went for a long weekend. Lovely clean site. Two spotless toilet blocks with showers etc and pot washing facilities. Nice flat pitches everywhere. Nice big free pool that is FREEZING! We still went in everyday though and the kids loved the smaller children's pool. Staff seemed quite friendly enough.
Great forest walks on door step, pub down the road. Swanage, just a 10 minute drive, Corfe castle about 5 minutes. Will definitely be visiting again, but this time remembering to take plenty of mosquito repellent for the evenings.

The campsite was very clean and at the time we went, quiet at night. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The toilet/shower block is one of the cleanest and best maintained I have seen in a campsite. The woodland camping area was a little waterlogged but I suspect this is down to unseasonal rain as opposed to poor drainage. It is well placed for visiting all around the Purbeck area. Wareham is just a couple of miles down the road and has good local shopping facilities,ie, CO-OP, Summerfield and also a decent chip shop,( the one nearer the little bridge).
Bovington Tank museum and Monkey world are both just a 15 minute drive away. Studlands,(beach) although a bit of a twisty road is well worth a visit as is Corfe Castle and Brownsea Island,(Poole harbour). I would return to this site with no qualms.

Went here may half term last year, was a great site very clean. pool was a bit chilly and had a bit of a walk to the toilet blocks. Everything was very clean and well maintained, lovely walks in the woods and handy for days out. Lots of space for the kids good pitch sizes. Staff very friendly. Had a great week

Stopped here over the bank holiday, found the site clean and tidy, pitches were flat with some hard standings. The woods are massive with a variety of wildlife roaming,(actually got to see a stag and 2 does walking down the road).
However we did find it to be a lttle far out from anywhere, the local pub (The Silent Women doesnt let kids in the bar even if your eating... shame). Went to the beach everyday (Studland) beware of the car parking fees!!. Went to corfe Castle ( wonderful views). Pool on site was excellent, and the shop onsite had all the basics. Nice site , perhaps would visit again.
