 Fabulous site with fantastic views.

We visited for Jubilee weekend for a week. Weather was awful but site drained well. Caravan pitches all hardstanding with electric point and running water. Facilities good and glad to hear visitors opinions do count as shower curtains and shelves have been fitted after requests. New playground good for young adventures.

Site set in the middle of Delamere with few shops to browse at, craft, book, antiques.

Will visit again as such good site which makes it more difficult to get on as it fills quickly!

I had a one night stay here to visit the antiques shops and to test myself camping with dog. Had the camping area to myself so a pick of the pitches.

I saw loads of wildlife, rabbits, birds and a possible visit by a badger or fox (I was woken with a jump) in the night - snuffling the dogs empty bowl!

Easy to locate, the park is well cared for and quiet. Well lit at night with EHU markers. The shower block was clean, hot free showers, laundry room included in your fee. Access card £10 deposit for entry to site facilities.

Pitch flat, mowed and tidy. Plenty of space for tent, car, all your clobber - we will return with bigger tent and himself. Dog walk area an excellent idea and clean.

Lovely walks in the area and Frodsham is nearby, staff knowledgeable and very helpful.

Overall a very reasonable, fair price at £7 for me+dog. More sites should take note on how its done, I'll definitely return.

Just got back from our first Camp and we choose Lady Hayes as it was only 10 miles from home in case we forgot something.

On arrival we were told we could pick our own pitch as they would not be full over the weekend and we were advised which areas were still holding water. We were giving an overview of the site provided with a access card for the site and the facilities. We also took this opportunity to hire a fire pit for the two nights.

The tents are located on a single road with pitches on either side and there is a great view of Cheshire. (also means it is a little windy).

The toilet/laundry area is excellent, roomy and warm and very clean.

There is a play ground for the children and my kids spent most of the time here. I think it was not finished yet, but when it is it should be very good.

There is also a bar, ship and indoor play area. We did walk in to have a nosy but did not use this facility. The park is also part of a craft centre so there are several craft shops, sweet shop, fantastic second hand book shops with apparently 10, 000 books. And a brewery. These were great for a stroll round and the people visiting did not intrude on the camp/caravan area.

For novices this was a great site for us and and was very calming (we needed it after putting the tent up) and we will be returning as it is local.

The only recommendation I would make, there did not seem to be a recycling centre, just bins. We are use to it at home and it seemed a little odd not to do it away.

We only stayed for 1 night just to check that 'everything worked' with our newly purchased van.

Well if this is what caravanning is all about bring it on! we thought. The chap on reception was ever so polite and helpful, he even reversed our van on site. Good dog walking area. Loo's and showers (swipe card entry) as good as you'll find in any posh hotel - and lots of them too.

Kiddies play area seemed to be popular, although little more than a massive sand pit so not sure how long the fun would last there, maybe some swings would be an idea? Tea room and bar close by although we can't comment as ate/drank inside. A few antique type shops to while away an hour or two.

Highly recommended - this site is absolute quality and because it's so new the attention to detail for long term usage (tree planting etc. ) seems very good.

Stayed 2 nights on lady heyes in april

We booked 3 pitches together and was very nice as lots of pitches available

Mother in law stayed on the static pitch

Toilet facilities are excellent

Clean site

Excellent customer service skills from the reception staff

Excellent playbarn for the children of a night time ( take a lantern with you whilst walking back to your tent once it goes dark because it can be very dangerous as no lighting )

Would definitely recommend and come here again

My only snag was there was a problem with the electricity as it kept on tripping even when there was just a kettle plugged in but spoke to management and I'm confident that this will get rectified

5 mins to delamere, excellent for a day out with the kids or 5 mins into frodsham excellent for a pub lunch too

Our visit last weekend was a last minute decision as we'd bought a new tent and wanted to test it out. I'm so glad we did. In my opinion this site should apply to be a 'best of British' campsite. The site is a good size with pitches being ample enough size for a larger 6 man tent, pup tent and car. The caravan area looked well spaced out but wasn't staying in there so can't comment further. The site was immaculate, it's obviously fairly new or undergone a major refurbishment. The toilets/showers were plenty, warm and clean. The water wasn't burning hot like some sites but that's is good, I don't like it when a shower is so hot you can't stand in it. The craft centres on the site (which are separate to the site) look a bit shabby but sell an array of interesting wares and antiques and the bistro cooked a lovely Thai fishcake.

For us the best part of the break was the club house. It has a large soft play area right next to the bar which was ideal for letting the reins slacken on our 3 year old. He had the most wonderful time running 'free' and playing with the other children (who I have to say all seemed so well behaved and were great with him despite him being so much younger than then), he made lots of 'Best Friends' and my husband and I could enjoy a drink and some time-out without ever loosing sight of him, A parents dream. We have decided that despite it being only 10 miles from our house, we are going to make a monthly trip of it. The views are stunning (if you can mentally ignore fiddlers ferry power station about 15 miles in the distance) and the planes do go over but not so often and certainly not so they'd bother you.

The shop was rather sparse but there are plenty of small conveniences in the area and Frodsham is a lovely market town very nearby (try the award winning pies on the high street!) Our only grumble was the noise from the generator next to the pet crematorium. It went on late into the night and started up in the early hours. We asked Alex about it and he informed us that it was a temporary situation for approx 6 weeks while they install more electric hook ups on the site and the ultimate plans are to get rid of the pet crematorium and surrounding buildings to make way for chalets and a rally field. I think this would make it a truly fantastic site.

In short it is a very well maintained, clean, full facilities site that I would recommend to anyone but especially those with children.

Easy to find / well signposted to get to.

Nice site. Loved the toilet / shower block - loads of very hot water and well heated (only down side being that the water sprayed onto dry clothes because the cubicles weren't very big, but that's fairly normal!).

My 6 year old enjoyed the sand / castle and played in it lots.

The staff were friendly and we enjoyed sitting in the 'bar' and using the soft play.

None of the shops open on site until 10am which meant we were hanging around for a while before leaving because my daughter wanted to look in them. We would've liked to buy some Frodsham beer but that wasn't opening until 12!

Would definitely come back here.

Stayed for Easter had a great time apart from the rain. Had a few power outages due to everyone using heaters for the cold but all got sorted. Loads to do for the kids and adults, shop on site is very basic but Frodsham has plenty to choose from plus a Tesco down the road in Helsby.

Plenty of things to do off site without having to travel to far. Never known water so hot and spotless shower and toilets. Noise from the pet cemetery is a pain if you are pitched near it. Will be going back for sure. Thanks for the stay Alex.

We stayed as part of a family group for the first part of the Easter week end. Lady Hayes, as others have mentioned, is a whole host of things including crafts and antique centre, bistro as well as caravan and camp site with all the amenities. They also specialise in putting together entertainment events, of which the Easter weekend was part.

Like others mention not their own website access can be an issue with queueing but this is never for very long and we where always greeted by a member of staff keen to explain what was going on.

Simply put this is one of the best sites we have stayed on. The amenities are outstanding are where always clean (despite the site being full). The site manager, is a one man customer services award. Our 3 year old loved the playground and also the indoor soft play centre in the club house.

We will definitely be visiting again - if we can get it. This place really does book up fast!

Only thing we could think of to improve amenities would be a bath to help with our pre school children but that really is looking fro problems! It is worth noting you will need levelling blocks for some pitches and as this site is still quite new a lot of the planned shelter from the Cheshire weather is still growing!

The site is at the back of an antiques and craft centre with Micro brewery, candle and book shop. You enter through the second entrance when coming from Frodsham town centre.

When in a tent park up on the left just after the pet crematorium and go to the main reception on the caravan field, you can see it on your right.

The reception houses the male and female toilets and showers at the rear of which there are a plenty of and very new and clean (these are accessed via a proximity card you get issued). There is ample loo roll and hand cream for washing and the air dryers are the type that blasts the water off.

There is also a cloth washer in a side room.

For the children there is a large play fort in front of the shower\reception block. This looked to be popular with under eights I would say looking at the kids who were on it.

The caravan park looked to be packed and we were the only tent on a separate field, so had plenty of space, but looking at the pitch numbers, if the site was busy you would be packed together, which is not my cup of tea. There are electric hook-ups for a number of tents and the grass was well kept. The site is almost level for tents, so no issues on how to pitch.

There is a small club\bar which we did not go into at the back of the Antique centre, so I can not comment, but it looked nice.

The site is about 10 minutes out of Frodsham which has a few pubs, shops and a Morrison’s supermarket. In the other direction you can be in the Delemere forest in 15 minutes or so. It takes about 20 - 25 minutes to get to Chester which is a lovely place to look around and eat. Also close by is Cheshire Oaks shopping centre.

The only gripe I would have about the site is it is on the flight path to Liverpool airport and the planes were coming in around every 5 minutes or so at the weekend until quite late at night and they sounded low. We also experienced some road noise although the road past the site appears quiet, so not sure where that was coming from.

The only reason I have marked this site down is due to the plane and road noise. Like I said being the only unit gave us lots of space, but if full would be cramped.
