I stayed at Lady Heyes for 5 nights, over the New Year. The person who booked me in was very cheerful over the phone and in person. He lent me an extension lead, my lead could not reach the Ehu post, as I needed one to use, so I could have the full current usage.
Toilet and showers immaculate, considering the amount of rain we had during our stay. There are hooks on the shower and toilet doors. A small shelf in the showers, also fold up plastic chairs, which are very handy indeed. There is a family shower cubicle. The water is constantly hot, but cannot be regulated, personally I liked the temperature, but young children or those with sensitive skin may find it too hot, shower is press button, which needs to be constantly pressed down.
The laundry and dishwashing are in the same room, which is just around the corner, also houses the freezer for frozen foods or ice pack, great addition. The whole complex is heated and not forgetting piped music while having a shower. Nearly forgot, they have a hairdryer. Best bit short walk from the tent field.
They have licence bar, cafe, bistro, chippy yummy micro brewery, various other shops, which are great for a look around. Young children are well provided, but teens not so, they do have table tennis, which can be played in good weather, did not see anything else for them personally. Teen son however did enjoy himself, he would like to visit again.
Tent pitches are not very wide, but are long. Each EHU post holds four sockets. Pitches are not perfectly level, there again, I have never come across a pitch, which looks like a bowling green either. Others have mentioned aeroplanes, I didn't, t notice them during the day or night, unless drowned out by wind and rain.
There is a short dog walk with dog field, where they can have a play, along with a dedicated poo bins, no excuse not to pick up and bin.
The site is easy to find and get to, as the M56 is very handy indeed, very easy to have a trip into Wales from the motorway, Cheshire Oaks, Blue Planet Aquarium and the Zoo. Delemere forest is a short drive.
Frodsham is nearby, it has a Morrisons, local shops, Tesco's is in Helsby. Don't forget City of Chester.

I echo everything that everyone else gave the full 10 stars has said. I was in a tent with just two other tents from New Years's Eve till 03/01/14. The weather was terrible - howling gales and torrential rain but this caused no problems whatsoever. The site is so clean and so well maintained. The loos are to die for! All the site users seem to really respect it and so nothing is out of place. Highly recommended.

Just returned from a weekend at Lady Heyes. A lovely well laid out tidy site. Warm welcome from reception and guided to pitch with offer to help pitch if we needed it!Pitches all clearly marked with own water and EHU, all hardstanding too. The shower block (admission via card - £10 returnable dep at start of stay)was immaculate, clean warm and bright. Included a family/disabled shower room. There were washing up facilities and washing machines too!
On site there are several small shop units which sell things from nik naks to books and a micro brewery. All good for a nosey around. Bought some early Xmas presents. Could have lost husband in second hand book shop! Went to clubhouse - houses play equipment and does food and drinks/alcohol. Reasonably priced and good way to pass time if weather poor! On site chippy- good value too!
Visited Frodsham. Short distance, nice to have a walk around. Lots to do in area, done most as only live 30 miles away but just wanted a break during school hols.
There was a Halloween theme evening at clubhouse, whilst there which was good for the children.
Will go back to this lovely site next year!

We went to lady heyes on the 5/10/2013 for one night. On arrival the gentleman on reception was very helpful and gave us a map of the site and where we were camping. You have to leave a ten pound deposit for the card to use the toilets and to open the barrier to the site after 10pm-7am. We found our pitch and was very happy. The site has EHU if you want it. We had a dog and the dog walking facility's were very good and not too busy. The views are stunning of the surrounding area you could see for miles. The site has loads of shops and a pub and a micro brewery. Delamere forest is only 5-10 minutes away so lots to do. We will definitely return. Oh and the toilets are the best we have seen!

I have stayed at this site about 3 times now. The site itself is lovely and well maintained. Alex is very friendly. The tent pitches are a decent size and I believe that they are being made bigger and are being improved for 2014. The toilet and shower block on site is one of the best I've seen. Its underfloor heated and very clean and tidy. There is a Morrisons supermarket in Frodsham which is 5 mins drive away. There are quite a few shops on the 'complex' which are ok for a nosey round too. In the middle of the caravan area is a large play area for the children. Looking forward to more visits in the future.

It's amazing to think that 15 minutes outside of Warrington is such a beautiful and peaceful campsite. We arrived after hours but the site manager had left us a map and key for the ablutions and came and greeted us once we set up. He also opened the office to provide us with a firepit and logs.
Lady Heyes has everything you could want from a site. Loads of space, a brilliant panoramic view, wonderful friendly staff, and an excellent clean shower block with hot and powerful showers. They even have firepits to hire which gives a great camping atmosphere without damaging the site. All in all we had the most relaxing time with a picnic and champagne and that view. I love the fact that it is so close so we can visit on a whim and know that we will be looked after.
I should also say that a walk around the neighbouring antique shops and a tasting at the microbrewery on site is a must! And the local pub - The Travellers Rest- made us very welcome and served great cask ales and good wine.
Can't wait to go again.

Just got back from a lovely weekend at Lady Heyes camp site, Was our 1st ever trip away as a family in a the caravan and was such fun 'Bar the stress of trying to control my daughter as she wanted to go in every ones van' ;)
Arrived at site around 17:30 and was greeted with a smile from the gent on reception and explained everything that I needed to know.
Found pitch and parked the van up, Everything you need is right next to the caravan so no need to trek for some water/EHU point.
Site was lovely and showers were nice and warm, Never used toilets as I used my own in the van but looked clean from when I walked past to get a shower.
Ground is hard gravel type stuff so be careful if You have to push as easy to slip.
Overall a nice weekend and start to our caravanning life ;) and would stay again if we were going that way.

We stayed for 5 nights as a first trip out, chose somewhere local to get used to the caravan and it was exactly the right thing to do.
We had a lovely time, the staff were all very friendly, the site was so lovely, spotlessly clean bathrooms.
Lovely little play area that the kids could go to and they made lots of new friends who they have since stayed in touch with.
There was a little pod on site, we loved going in and having a look at it, would be great for our friends to use as they don't have a caravan. Hope that's up and running next summer :)
Loved the little craft centre on site too.
We will certainly be going back.

We stayed at Lady Heyes camp site for 5 nights during our tour through England and Wales. The Staff and employees are friendly and helpful. We used the camp site for to visit Chester and neighborhood. The camp site has got a playground for (small/under 10) Kids, but there is nothing to do for older Kids. The toilet and shower block is looking new and for this camp site big enough, but they were dirty. I made a declaration at the reception, but nothing happens. What a bummer!

My wife and I have just returned from a short break at Lady Heyes caravan Park. First impressions were that we had arrived at an old airfield as we passed the outer series of shops and only when we turned left at the bottom of the drive did we see the tent field and the caravan park itself. Booking in was fine, Alex on the desk explained all the rules and took my tenner deposit for the barrier and toilet block pass. Our pitch was near the clubhouse, so it was a little lively over the weekend, but what noise, if any, there was, stopped shortly after 10pm so that was not a problem. The pitches are described as fully serviced, which they are if you have 25 feet of grey water wastepipe and in some cases can make that run uphill, as a good number of the pitches are not level and have some degree of slope to them. Also hard standing means just that, ensure you have metal pegs, as plastic will just not enter the ground. Toilet facilities were warm and exceptionally clean. Not many shower cubicles in either the men's or ladies block, considering the number of vans and tents attending over the weekend, but there was a bonus for families as there were separate family cubicles to get the kids well scrubbed after they have been in the enormous sandpit or the playground all day, as well as large disabled facilities for wheelchair users. There is a fair bit to see regarding the craft units etc, with possibly the biggest bookshop I have ever seen. All shop owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. Sampled the Frodsham Gold in the brewery and bought some bottles to bring home. Frodsham is only 5 mins down the road, where you can find all the usual high street shops and a Morrissons supermarket for provisions, as there is no shop on site. The Travellers Rest pub is just down the road. Nice meal, but a bit pricey for the amount of food you get. The site is ideal if you have kids, CoCo's play barn is there to keep them occupied while you have a swift one in the bar. Will visit again, but will request a quieter pitch next time. Overall a nice weekend and a nice site. Could just do with tidying up a bit as the outbuildings don't do it justice.
