This is a new site with lovely brand new facilities which are excellent. I only hope they can maintain the standard of cleanliness as it is a lovely toilet & shower block with ample WCs & showers - free and very hot water. Very child friendly with free bouncy castle etc.
Very helpful staff but I thought the allocation of pitches seemed a bit random.
20 minutes to Chester, 20 minutes to Blue Planet & 20 minutes to Cheshire Oaks outlet village. 5 minutes to all the shopping you would need in Frodsham.
The only downside
One major gripe, the camping field is adjacent to a large scale pet crematorium which runs 24/7 and though it is a smart new building, it is darned annoying (and loud) when the burners kick in every couple of hours - we had 4 tents with 10 of us in and it kept us all awake during the night. So, if you use this place (and I would as it's good) then get a pitch at the top end of the field, near the entrance, pitch on the left as you drive in!

Tried this campsite out a couple of weeks ago.
Superb ! Tents are only a recent addition (adults currently £6pppn, kids £3/night) with electrical hookup available on all of the camping field for £3/night.
Arrived late and in the pouring rain, after booking with Alex (site manager) who was very helpful
Showers/toilet facilities are great - clean and free ! - family shower room a great idea (also disabled facilities good, although wouldn't want to run a wheelchair over the loose stone footpaths)
Site itself is great - a few small shops (run separately from the caravan park)
A trip to the brewery is recommended - nothing better than a couple of bottles of their superb beer whilst relaxing in the camp chair.
The most wonderful 2nd hand bookshop I have ever seen in my life (was slightly overwhelmed) - felt like I could live in the place for years and still not read all of the books
Wasn't so impressed with the cafe - although very clean and service was good, breakfast was described as 'full and hearty', with the posters advertising free tea/coffe and discount. We got the discount, but there were a few items missing from the breakfast and they still charged for the tea/coffee (in spite of me reminding them what their poster suggested) - portions ideal for a pensioner/ person with a smaller appetite.
Location is good, only up the road from Frodsham village itself - a few good pubs down there (not visited this time)
Part of me doesn't want to recommend this camp site too highly in case it gets mobbed, but that's not fair, and I have to say it really is rather good.
Will definitely be returning here again soon.

In addition to the previous reviews, we have just visited and spent a pleasant 2 days at the site. Alex and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. There are nice views over the Cheshire plains and once the trees and shrubs are mature this will be even nicer place to visit. Delamere forest is 3 - 4 miles away frodsham village around 2 -3 miles. There is a pub serving food (the travellers rest) around a 10 min walk or the Carriers Inn at hatcmere/Dealmere is a 5 min drive, both serve nice meals
Our only feedback for the site to further develop would be to improve the site by collecting the litter blowing around mainly newspaper and the elsan point which consists of a trap door covering a steel funnel 2' deep. This might be tempting for kiddies to climb into a much better version in the raised ceramic/fibreglass version.
Overall we enjoyed our break and will return, well done to the staff

Nice clean site and even in the rain it had no standing puddles. Shower and toilets spotless and easy to use. Restaurant and club on sight which we used. Shops interesting, pity they didn't open earlier and close later as we love to browse. Most people with pets which were allowed. Children playground good.
We could have done with 2 pass cards for toilet and shower.
Frodsham down the road a quaint town full of history, you could walk but a steep climb back to the camp.
Future ideas - a swimming pool would be wonderful maybe instead of the Pet Cemetery which sounds depressing.

What a great site! Clean, tidy, quiet (especially at night when the manager comes round to let you know it's almost time to start quieting down - great for those of us with young family's who want a bit of peace and quiet!) and fab facilities.
Lovely clean shower block with plenty of showers, toilets and sinks - even a free hairdryer. We made use of the dog washing area too for our mucky lab.
Lovely little shops on site too - great candle shop owned by Bob Carolgees and fab little bookshop, record shop, sweet shop etc.
Five minutes drive down the road is the little village of Frodham where there is a Morrisons shop, chippy, pubs, cafes, charity shops, banks etc.
We would go back. The only draw back for some might be the animal (pet) crematorium next to the camping field which has black smoke billowing out of the chimney at various times of day!
Oh and there's not a lot to do unless you want to drive everywhere.

We also visited the site on the opening weekend and we were on the tent field. There is a large reception area and behind this is the toilet blocks which are fantastic. I counted 10 toilets in the females and a variety of showers. Some were larger to fit families in. All done to a very high spec. The manager is very friendly and everyone on the site was lovely. We had some rain in the evening and the tent field drained really well. Lots to do in the surrounding area. Go you will not be disappointed. We only live 10 minutes away and have already booked for another 3 weekends.

Lady Heyes was a fantastic site, and I presume it will get much better once complete.
The shower block was immaculate, and very big. They have even installed a powerful hairdryer, which is free, most sites charge to use these.
The pitches are fairly well spaced, with more than enough room for the caravan, awning, and car.
Staff were very helpful.
Excellent views, and lovely to watch the farm animals in the neighbouring field, and plenty of wildlife.
The shops were nice, take plenty of cash with you :o)
A really relaxing few days, will definitely return in the near future.

We visited this site on its opening weekend, it is a brand new site, very clean, the toilet block is the best I have ever seen on a caravan site, the staff are very helpful. The site is child friendly, it has a large indoor play area where parents can have a snack while watching them play. There are shops at the top af the site selling antiques, bric-a-brac, books, records, sweets, ice cream and even a small brewery and a restaurant. The site is only minutes drive from Delemere Forest. I couldn't recommend this site more highly.

This is a brand new site in a truly beautiful part of the country. No expense as been spared in creating this site. There is a separate camping field which they are planning 50 hook ups. On the caravan site the pitches are of a excellent size and are all super pitches they are planning to put entertainment on at least once a month but the place is that big if you just want piece and quite than you will not have a problem. Well worth a visit lots to see and do and the toilet block is out of this world with free showers will keep you informed on how this site settles down as we have a seasonal pitch there if you are interested in visiting this is not a expensive site and you can have a deal
