Just got back from a weekend stay. Not a bad site and only a few miles from delamere forest and easy access to frodsham. The shower blocks look fairly new and were clean enough although not a lot of space to put you shower stuff when showering. The clubhouse is a great idea and the fish and chips on Friday night were lovely. Overall the site is ok and the craft shops, the only thing I'd say is there needs to be some improvement on the roads around the site as they are full of potholes and it makes it look a bit rundown and it isn't! Will return as we did enjoy.

This was our second visit to this site, we came the same week last June (2016) so please read my glowing review from then as well. We had very bad weather unfortunately this week but still had a good time. I wont repeat everything I said last year but what I can say is that if it is at all possible, Lady Heyes have clearly taken on-board some customer feedback and improved on some issues. For those who had slated the push-button showers, these have been replaced with fully adjusting knobs making the shower use and temperature control much more easier so well done there.

We used the Cafe several times this stay as we didn't bother last year as it had only just re-opened partially. We tried the full breakfast, a couple of lunch menus including hot food and sandwiches then we partook in the Fish 'n' Chips Friday. We found all the food very good, served quickly and excellent value for money. We had expected to pay more than we did considering you are a captive audience there.

We took both our dogs this time too. The on-site dog walk area we found more than adequate for our needs with a pooh bin at the entrance and one on the open area down the path. This makes for a really convenient addition if you have dogs with you and then a trip down to the Delamere Forrest burnt off any excess energy that the dogs had. Just be mindful that there are Rabbits in abundance in this area and on site too so your dogs will need to be strictly restrained. We used those ground spikes when just sitting out around our van as our dogs were constantly spotting bunnies on maneuvers and went mad.

The only issue we could see, which I might add didn't affect our pitch, was that the site seems to suffering from a major mole problem on some of the pitches with large mole heaps on their grassed areas which turn to mud if the weather was as wet as on this trip. I'm sure Lady Heyes will consult with a pest expert though and address this.

This is an excellent site with very good facilities. There is an army of cleaners employed keeping the toilet/shower blocks clean and healthy throughout the daytime hours. This was appreciated as I have already said, the weather was not kind to us this stay and wet conditions always make washroom floors very muddy and messy if not kept on-top of.

The children's play area saw plenty of action and the craft/antique shops are still an intrigue even though we visited them all last year too.

Stayed here after seeing various caravanners seeming to enjoy this site. We were not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful, the facilities were spotlessly clean and lovely - underfloor heating and music playing in the shower/toilet block. We had a fully serviced hot tub pitch, hot tub was filled on our arrival and checked/cleaned every morning of our stay. A little out of town so peaceful but only a 5 minute drive into Frodsham which is a lovely town where you can find anything you might need.

The craft centre was a little disappointing, mostly just antique shops rather than actual 'crafts' but ok if you like that sort of thing.

We would definitely return to stay here again although maybe without hot tub next time as that was a novelty treat.

We stayed at Lady Heyes a couple of years ago and found there had been some changes to the site this time round.

Gone are the old units housing the antique shops by the entrance, replaced by some very posh looking Deluxe glamping pods and the new club house, which looked really smart although we did not have time to pay it a visit on this occasion.

Lady Heyes is ideally situated for us as we like to visit Manchester. Two miles drive to Frodsham station where there`s free parking and the train into Manchester runs every hour. Frodsham itself has everything you could ask for, Supermarket, Pubs, Takeaways etc.

Back to the site.

Entry to the site is via an electronic key fob which you receive upon arrival. We arrived too late to catch reception, a phone number on the door puts you in touch with Paul the warden who gives you a code to the safe situated next to the door to retrieve your welcome pack and key fob. Very handy.

I believe all pitches are hard standing on gravel which is good. EHU and water are all close to the caravan.

Toilet/showers are kept spotlessly clean by the pleasant cleaners. Plenty of hot water in the showers and lovely and warm due to the heating.

A decent playground is available for the little ones.

The craft shops on site are well worth a visit.

All the staff that we came across were very pleasant and very helpful. Well done to all.

Overall the site is brilliant in all ways, we will have to return in the summer months so we can try the clubhouse.

We stayed for 3 nights last week after reading the very positive reviews. On arrival I was greeted by a lovely lady in reception giving me my pitch information and local takeaway menus etc.

The pitches themselves are large but the hardcore used is scruffy and uneven, bring levelling blocks!

The grass doesn't get cut very often and the roadways are full of potholes.

The toilet block looks great until you notice the sinks that didn't get cleaned for the 3 days we were there or the toilets with excrement on the front of the bowls and on the walls, which again didn't get touched apart from someone putting some bleach down them.

The showers again look great but have no pressure whatsoever and pushing the button every 2 seconds becomes annoying when you have soap in your eyes. Some of the doors have hooks but most are broken leaving nowhere to put your clothes apart from over the door.

There is 1 Elsen point for the whole site, which is filthy and inches away from the waste water point. Both sharing the same hosepipe. Oh and the smell!

It's a pity the site could be so much better but it's just not cared for at all, being in a brilliant location.

Would I go again? Not a chance.

Two weeks holiday visiting family stayed last year the owners son very helpful learning the business.

Pitch okay should of chosen one where we got sunshine into awning instead of shade these pitches have electric and water no greywater unless you have a long flexi pipe then you are fine.

Club house serves breakfast from 9am until 12 then other food plain but very good had breakfast most mornings during our stay and lunch once as well as coffee.

Manager who runs the club very professional and his chef provided good food not just thrown on the plate good presentation made to feel welcome reception could point out when you arrive club house facilities and opening times as we went into Frodsham to look for breakfast but found out apoun returning we needn't of left the site.

Returning to the site facilities shower and toilet block money has been well spent it's a pity that the visitors don't have the respect it deserves.

In my opinion great site Monday to Friday if you want peace and quiet and avoid school holidays bank holidays and weekends as you are invaded not for us but might suit others

Glamping pods seem to be the rave with hot tubs children's play area few small retail units

Had a good time catching up with family and friends.

We stayed on a hard pitch with our trailer tent amongst friends with caravans.

Toilet and shower facilities are excellent and always clean and tidy.

Kids outdoor playground kept our 4 year old occupied for hours on end.

Didn't try the cafe but others in the group that did were very impressed.

Frodsham is a small town locally with lots of pubs with real ale to try and plenty of shops to browse.

Will definitely look to stay again given its proximity to our house.

£62 for 3 adults, 2 kids a dog and EHU; a fair price for the middle for July; just a shame the weather was more like February!

We arrived on Friday 15/07/16 for a 3 night stay. We arrived at reception and first impression was this looks ok. Security barriers in place. We booked in and was told we were on pitch 2 and 3 of the tent pitches and handed our passes for the site then told to go back out the way we came in ( not through the security barriers ) and to the left where there were some no entry signs go through the NO ENTRY SIGNS and the tent pitches were on the left ( NO SECURITY BARRIERS ) When we got to the tent pitches there were at that time 2 other tents pitched further down. The grass was quite long and the tent site just looked scruffy and unkempt but later found that this was the same for the main part of the site as well. The tent pitches 2 and 3 both had large areas of dirt (no grass) and no attempt had been made to repair this.

As the day went on more people turned up and the pitches opposite us put up 3 tents between 2 pitches and a gazebo, then parked 2 transit vans and about 4 cars on the grass. They proceeded to have a bbq and get drunk in the gazebo while the kids ran round which was fine, but not once did any of the adults attempt to keep the kids under some sort of control, and ball games were being played around other people's cars and tents despite there being a field at the side for ball games. The noise from the children eventually died down at around midnight and the music and not so sober adults at about 1. 30 am.

On the tent pitches were 3 stand pipes for water only 2 worked and they at best were just a trickle, when reported a chap came down with a screwdriver and wrench put the screwdriver up the end of the tap prodded it a couple of times then went to the next one, when he came back he said there's a blockage somewhere but it's too late in the day to sort it and hopefully it will get sorted tomorrow ( this was at half past one in the afternoon ).

The shower block was nice but some of the shower heads need looking at as at best some of them just trickled down the wall, but very nicely done out, not quite sure why you need a pass to use them though.

Kids play areas were good and they loved the wooden play area.

Club house is a bit of an overstatement only bottled beer, more like a licensed cafe really but food very nice just need to use plates instead of polystyrene boxes when people are eating in.

Why are the tent pitches not a part of the main secured area of the camp site instead of being made to feel like second class citizens and being segregated by a hedge row with a gap in it and accessed through the reception area where a check can be made on how many vehicles are coming and going.

On a 3 night stay, we could not put up with the untidiness, the noise until 1. 30 am, or the campsite that looked more like a parking lot and left after the first night.

Only stayed 1 night here over night stop on the way to South Wales. Found the staff friendly and the warden was very helpful. Chose this site originally due to the hot tub at the pitch which was fantastic. Would recommend and will use again if in the area.
