A lovely little site in gorgeous settings. The facilities are fantastic - particularly having a pool in this weather!
We visited as couple with our tent and were warmly welcomed. When we arrived we found we had a good pitch part shady and part sunny in the central tent area and close to the facilities.
There are plenty of toilets, showers, washing up facilities and very clean considering how busy it was. The bar on site seemed friendly although it was too nice weather to spend much time there and we didn't order food.
We did visit the Ben Jonson in Weston on the Green - just a few minutes drive from the site. Beautiful pub/ restaurant, great service and lovely food. It was quiet when we were there but I would highly recommend.
The first afternoon we tried out the pool - very clean and very refreshing. It was pretty quiet but looked to get busier later in the afternoon as more people arrived. More chairs/ loungers etc around the pool would be my only recommendation - but equally we could have brought our own round from the tent!
The next day we went to Oxford for the day. From the site it is about 20mins drive into Central Oxford. We had decided to park in the centre - probably the wrong thing to do. The traffic was pretty slow once we got to the centre then it was £4 an hour to park in the centre of town in the first couple of car parks we found. The Westgate shopping centre was a bit cheaper - but still about £3 an hour. Park and ride sounds like it would have been a much better option! Still a lovely day out.
Generally a good weekend however over the weekend there were a few little things about the campsite that did start to annoy us and perhaps could be improved/ considered:
- Groups. In the area of the site we were in all the other tents were part of small groups of tent/ families - 2's or 3's, each with lots of children. This meant that we felt a bit out of place.
- Size of tents/ pitches. Almost all the other tents in our area were HUGE! Two or three of them taking up the entire pitch edge to edge. This meant that the area felt very crowded and there was then no space for cars, chairs, tables, children's games etc within their pitch. So they spilt out of their pitch and we felt hemmed in by their cars and games.
- Ball games. A few times there were 3 separate ball games going on in the small central area with the different groups. Children and adults playing football or volleyball - balls flying everywhere and children chasing after them, including into our BBQ. Although we'd finished cooking and the children would be polite and friendly and say sorry, it really put us on edge having balls and small children constantly banging into a hot BBQ. The parents seemingly completely unaware or not bothered.
- Noise. Partly due to the sheer number of people and screaming children in our area and partly due to one group playing quite loud music all the time. The kids shouting and screaming started about 8am and carried on until after 11pm on the first night, although slightly earlier - but still after 10. 30pm on the second night. The loud music similar. Again parents seemingly not bothered.
A lovely site with fantastic facilities, but due to the these niggles therefore I would recommend to families with children but I would not choose to visit again at a weekend/ school holiday as a couple unless we were part of a group including children. We could have just been unlucky with our fellow campers and it being start of school holidays. It could also be different in other parts of the site - the caravan pitches for example looked more separated from each other so probably more peaceful. I would however love to return for a quiet couple of nights once the kids have gone back to school!

Well what can we say?
Spotlessly clean, friendly, reasonably priced, well maintained just about says it.
We stayed here for the weekend in glorious july sunshine, 2 couples and 2 children in 2 tents.
We made good use of the pool and small play area during the day and the bar, games room and restaurant in the evening.
Food was very nice, all cooked to order and well priced. Bar prices were surprisingly reasonable.
The four staff that run this site which includes a small well stocked shop, bar, restaurant and reception do an exceptional job keeping smiles on campers faces and facilities spotlessly clean.
We ate lunch at the local pub, The Blacks Head Inn in Bletchingdon on Sunday and had fantastic food there too, highly recommended.
During the sunny weather it would have been great to have the bar open for soft drinks and snacks but appreciate they already have a lot to do.
Great stay, can't recommend it enough, we will be back!

Visited this site early in the summer holidays, and in many ways the site was brilliant! Great pool, not too big, very clean shower/loos and safe for the children. The shop/reception was great too.
We were shown our pitch, which was small but well kept. I have to agree with some reviewers that the staff were either abrupt or over the top friendly. The children's park was very disappointing, run down and shabby and wobbly!
I hope they address some of these issues, then it will be 10/10, this is constructive criticism, not a nasty review. If you want a peaceful site this is the one or you.

Had a fantastic weekend for our second family camping trip. The site facilities are spotless, the staff friendly and helpful. The children loved the outdoor pool and reasonably priced games room. Our pitch had privacy hedges so we weren't overlooked. This campsite was recommended to us by other families and we will definitely return. It isn't suitable for large groups but for up to three families its ideal. Next time we will make use of the bakery ordering facilities. My only suggestion for improvement would be to have a dog exercise area, although there is a bridleway very close to the site it is a bit overgrown.

Had a fantastic weekend, toilet/showers spotlessly clean with great music to sing along to. Lovely outdoor heated swimming pool, well stocked shop, food reasonably priced and good choice. Wardens in the van very friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and recommended some lovely places for us to visit. Overall a very good relaxing weekend and we will be returning very soon and will highly recommend to all our friends and family.

Just got back from a fantastic nights stay at Diamond Caravan park. We opted to stay for one night at the park (spur of the moment lets camp for the weekend decision). The site is easy to find yet feels out of the way enough.
The on site facilities are top notch with well kept toilets and shower blocks, they even have music piped into them. They also have a small well stocked shop with all the camping essentials. Onsite is a fully licensed bar which serves food and there is a small family room with a few old arcade games, a pool & football table.
There are several areas where campers can put up, they are number and clearly marked out with ample space for a tent and a car side by side. These areas are segregated into sensible sizes and hedges exist all around which does cut down the wind a bit. There is also a small park for the children to play in.
Although we only stayed for one day we all enjoyed our time there very much and would not hesitate to sling the tent in the boot and go there again for another short stay. Highly Recommended.

Visited this park for a weekend stay with the family for a break.
Found the stay to be a relaxing time and the kids loved the freedom and pool. There was a games room which kept them out of our way giving us time to relax.
The park was very clean an the toilet and shower block was the cleanest I have seen for sometime on a camp site.
The wardens were very helpful and very informative about the local area. They provided us with a map with very clear instruction on how to get to the local attractions such as oxford they informed us of the local park and ride was to save us from getting lost.
We are planning to return in a few weeks as the kids break up soon and they enjoyed it that much they asked us if they could come back in the school holidays.

Just back from a fantastic weekend at the Diamond Caravan and Camping Park. A small and friendly site. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our pitch. The pitches are large, private without being to closed in. The pitch was level and mud free despite the rain in previous weeks. The site is well managed, toilets and showers spotlessly clean. The lawns, hedges are all well groomed. The play area is also level, offering a few swings etc for the kids plus a large area for ball games. The bat offers good home-cooked food, well priced and tasty. Drink prices very cheap. Good games room with pool table and a few electronic games.
Make sure you have some of their home-made bread, croissants and pan a chocolate. Nice
Our daughter loved the swimming pool, even though solar powered it seemed quite warm.
Will be going back here soon

A real gem of a site! Corny, but true!
Very helpful wardens, immaculate toilets and showers with plentiful hot water.
Small playground and area for ball games.
The pool was great in the hot weather, the children loved it and so did a few adults!
Camping pitches are large with banquets available. Caravan pitches large enough for car, van and full awning.
Wet weather days spent at cinema in Aylesbury or museum in Oxford - via Park & Ride.
Games room with pool table and a few machines also housed plenty of tourist leaflets and OS map displayed.
Had take away fish and chips from bar and a couple of drinks - plentiful and reasonable, and no washing up!
Didn't explore the area much as it was so lovely relaxing on site.
Definitely intend to return ;-)

Just returned from a weekend at this lovely site. A warm welcome on arrival and very useful information provided. Staff always willing to be of assistance and very approachable. The site is very clean and well maintained. We only used the bar one night but the food selection was varied and reasonably priced. The swimming pool is solar heated but it didn't stop certain family members using it. Simon Jackson (Manager) was the only person to reply to my booking enquiry from this website (I tried several sites). Great service, great site we will Definitely be returning. Thankyou for a great relaxing time.
