We visited this site, for 1 week under a special offer. I have never been to a site so badly disorganized. This is predominately a seasonal site, the ground was uneven and made siting the caravan difficult, the Patio area, was slabs and if my husband had not taken a drill we would not have been able to put an awning up. We requested a pitch close to the river so my husband could go fishing, we got a site right next to the café, and had to walk a considerable distance to get water. The electric was very dodgy, and in fact failed on 2 occasions. We would never visit this site again for a short holiday.

What a lovely site, very clean, toilet and shower block spotless. Very friendly staff and helpful can't praise them highly enough. It was too cold to use the pool but that also looked very clean and had a lovely outlook onto fields. We ate in the bar on one evening there were 9 of us and the food was excellent and VERY good value for money. We were there with my 2 year old grandaughter and our 5 year old and 2year old grandchildren visited with 3 adults, they were all made welcome and could use all the facilities. We will definitely be back later in the year,

This is a lovely site which was easy to find. It is laid out in such a way that you don't look directly onto your 'neighbours'. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the site shop provided a range of basic provisions. The toilets and showers were spotlessly clean with loads of very hot water available. A number of supermarkets were available within a few miles of the site. There is a bar on site but when we visited it was only open at the weekend as the site was fairly quiet in early June. The owners were undertaking site maintenance when we visited and it was a bit noisy at times, however, they invited us to come to the bar and have a drink on them to compensate for the disruption. Only downside for us was that there was no dog walk available on site, however, there are a couple of walks nearby off site but you need to cross a fairly busy road to access one of them. We would visit this site again.

We called in on the off chance to this very busy site and they were able to accommodate us, Very nice site, lovely pitches, showers were also good clean and plenty of hot water, Went up to have a drink and a meal, had sirloin steak and a pepper sauce which was not on the menu which the chef kindly went out of his way and made for us, The site was run by a very friendly capable people nothing was too much trouble would definitely recommend and stay here again

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this family-run campsite, camping as a couple with a tent and electric hook-up. On arrival we were given all the information we needed about the facilities, our pitch etc. And settled in very quickly. The site is excellently maintained, and we really liked that most of the camping pitches are separated by low hedges (provides a bit more privacy and clearly sets out your boundary from your neighbour's!) We have a medium sized 4 birth tent and our pitch had plenty of room for a table outside, and space to park a car. The electric hook-up was also very close by. A lovely setting with lots of birds, horses in adjacent field and high trees. We did hear the road, but not enough to bother us. During our stay everybody took note of the quiet time, and the site was very peaceful after 10pm. The bathroom facilities were superb - clean with lovely hot showers (some of the best we've had camping in the UK), and well equipped. Hairdryers were much appreciated in the ladies' washroom! The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive, and we'd certainly recommend staying here for easy access to Oxford and the surrounding area. The campsite is excellent value for money. We'll certainly return - thank you for a memorable stay.

We visited here to test out our new camper and We stayed for two nights arriving on Friday.
Due to a lot of roadworks on the dual carriageway near the site (coupled with badly timed rush hour traffic) We ended up arriving later than planned. We phoned ahead to let them know and found the wardens waiting specially for us (we were the last ones arriving for the day). As the website states, they do not take card so make sure you have enough cash.
There is a barrier at the entrance which opens upon approach during the day and needs a code after a certain time.
The washing up area was clean and inside. The toilets were very clean and well looked after. The showers were among the best I've had. As you can imagine at this time of year, the pool was Cold. The kiddlywinks didn't seem to notice though.
The bar resembled a very small social club, but everyone was friendly and the price very reasonable. We had food (mostly as we arrived late etc). And although cheap, it is all microwaved / deep fried. Which is definitely not our usual fare.
The play area was enjoyed and tucked into a corner so we didn't have to worry about cars etc.
We had a lovely stay. I do have a couple of downsides however.
The shop was very badly stocked. Unless you wanted milk, orange juice or the random camping item.
The other being that they were quite pushy about us leaving or paying the extra money for staying past the departure time. The area that we thought was parking is apparently not, and as we were walking back to the van 15 minutes after the stated time (after drying the kiddlywinks off from a last minute dip in the pool) the warden spoke to my partner about paying the extra. As we were on the verge of leaving she let it go. It does say on the website etc but as the park was so quiet it seemed a little unnecessary and almost ruined what was otherwise a nice weekend.

Super site. We used this site as a night halt, found it very easily & had a pleasant welcome at reception where everything was explained even though reception would normally have been shut then. As it was the winter season none of the bar facilities were open so commenting only on what we found.
Toilet block was super, warm, dry & clean. Lovely large shower head in shower & plenty of room so clothes stayed dry. Good laundry room, we didn't use the machines but all seemed reasonably priced. Easy to use disposal points & rubbish area. We asked if we could stay hitched up as we had a problem with our jockey wheel & were given a place on a long tarmac strip which was perfect. It was obviously quiet when we visited, caravans & motorhomes only on site, no tents so can't judge what it would be like in the height of the season. We were very happy with the site & the facilities and also the whole booking process. Would certainly use this one again.

Booked this site for a five night stay after reading all the excellent reviews on this site.
Positives;
Extremely friendly and helpful site wardens. Good toilets and showers, kept very clean - I think they were cleaned twice a day.
Bar was very nice, good availability of specialist beers and excellent value food served very quickly.
Pitches were very level and did not require much levelling of the van. Very handy to either Bicester or Oxford as this site is half a mile off the A34 and equidistant from both places. If you get the chance visit the Trigger pond pub at Bucknell - the food is excellent.
Our daughter was on site with us for about 3hrs one evening, we advised the wardens of this and they did not charge us as she was only there for a short while, which I thought was very fair.
Negatives;
The pitch we were on was adequate, it was gravel hardstanding, which was fine, but we were surrounded on three sides with 6 foot high hedges and in front of us across the site road we had a four foot high hedge that backed onto the area in the middle of the site for tents. Also we had low hanging tree branches just above the caravan so it was difficult to take advantage of the plentiful sunshine we had during our stay. We didn't put our full awning or porch awning up as to do so would have completely filled the pitch we were on with nowhere to sit outside.
Please don't get me wrong it was a lovely site but if were to return I would ask for a different pitch.
One other point was that the booking terms I was sent stated fairly emphatically that 'commercial or marked vehicles are not permitted on this site under any circumstances', yet a Thames water authority transit type van in full company livery was on site on and off next to a caravan all through our stay complete with water authority employee in full high vis garb.

Lovely small site. Nose is minimum. Perfect for small families as has playground and small swimming pool. Area where playground is has plenty of space for ball games too and grassed area for tents. Facilities of toilets and showers always clean and warm and always hot water. Really nice family bathroom if you have small children, it's like home from home so you can all be in the bathroom together and sort the children out as one. Only require £5 deposit for the key to the bathroom. Nice small bar area and food available at weekends.
Nice area near to Cotswolds and Oxford. Must visit day out to the Cotswold wildlife park.

Truly a gem of a campsite.
A family run business and it shows.
Upon arrival you are warmly greeted and given a tour to your pitch. (We were 33 and a fantastic pitch it was, very close to to the facilities).
Stuart, Sue and the team are the most friendly and helpful people you could meet.
The owners pop by every so often to make sure you are settled in and have everything you need.
The pitches are very well looked after. Just like the whole site. The facilities are some of the best we have had the joy of using. Toilets and showers are clean, tidy and well laid out. Hair dryers in the ladies are a fantastic touch.
We also used the family room as we have a flock of 3 darling children too. There is a bath, shower, toilet and sink with a baby changer inside.
I cannot tell you what a difference a bath makes with young children!
The park is towards the rear of the site. Safe and out of the way of vehicles moving around the site.
Well looked after equipment, swings, slide, monkey bars, tyres.
The swimming pool. Heated by solar tubes. Ok it was cold. The great British weather had not been kind for a few days. However as many people say once you are in. And I suggest you get it over and done with, it's just fine. There are some benches along the patio section you can relax on too.
The games room is a nice touch. Some board games, mega blocks, pool and a few arcade type games. There are also some children's and adults books you can read too.
The bar leads off from the games room, nice and cosy. It has a lovely feel to it and is very relaxed.
We ate in the bar on our final night and the homemade curry was delicious. Everything is very well priced. In fact it is good value for money.
The shop has the basic essentials, bread, sweets, washing powder etc. There are also some little toys. The tractor and trailer survived the first night so good quality toys!
There is a kitchen room, with 4 sinks, a microwave, toaster, 2 washing machines at £2 each wash and a dryer at £1 for 30 minutes. What lifesavers they were!
We had a wonderful time. We cannot wait to come back again. Thank you for a lovely few days.
