No issues at all apart from the very poor internet access using Air Angel. We were over a week and could not connect at all. The staff were very helpful but it was not their problem. As a provider Air Angel are unreliable and in this day and age the internet is a must. We only hope that this is fixed by our next visit.
The site is great but poor internet access is a big issue! This is why the overall rating is only a 7.

We use this site regularly. It is a very pleasant site with mature trees and hedges. The staff are always friendly and the site is kept to a high standard. There are three distinct areas, adult only, RV and pitches overlooking the pond and surrounding areas. The facilities are first class, always clean and tidy. The park and ride into Shrewsbury is a must, cheap and right next to the site. We always visit the Loch Fyne restaurant, two courses af excellent sea food for £9. 99. There is a good Coop supermarket next to the site as well as pharmacy and take aways. There is also a pub which serves food about five minutes away from the site. All these things make it ideal for motorhomes.

Great site - clean, tidy, quiet and well maintained. Loos and showers clean and lovely and warm in there, which was much needed as we had a real cold snap and snow! Get fed up with sites that advertise their shower block as 'Award winning' and then they don't have any heating on. Staff friendly and helpful. Just a quick walk down the lane to the Park and Ride into Shrewsbury town centre (about 2. 5 miles) but note that they don't accept any concessions on this service so leave your bus pass at home. Lots to do and see in Shrewsbury. Shops and takeaways at the end of the entrance lane. We had read bad reviews of the nearest pub (The Grapes - turn left out of entrance lane and 100yds up the road) and The Hungry Horse (turn left and about 3/4 mile) so decided to go for fish and chips the first night from the takeaway at the end of the entrance lane. I have to say that they were the worst fish and chips I have ever had. The batter was dark brown and oozed brown grease when we unwrapped the fish, which makes me question how old the cooking oil was. The fish was grey and, although advertised as cod, didn't look much like it to me. We had to wait ages for our meal to be cooked and it was quite pricey too. We would definitely revisit the site but not the fish and chip shop. Haven't scored child friendliness as we were in the adult only section.

Have just returned from this site this afternoon. Fantastic site, well laid out with tarmac roads, but also plenty of greenery. Spacious pitches each with hookup and digital tv point.
Facilities were immaculate, always clean and warm. Entrance is with a key but this keeps the area clean and tidy. Shower curtains are a nuisance but my husband assures me if you leave a slight gap they don't stick to you!
Dishwashing room is warm and clean and serves the purpose.
Shop is very well stocked with essentials and plenty of camping accessories.
The staff are really friendly and extremely helpful. The lady on reception gave us a number for a taxi company just in case we missed the last park and ride back at 6. 20pm.
The park and ride is fabulous value, being just £2. 50 return for 2 of us into Shrewsbury and of course is situated right next door to the park.
Shrewsbury is a fantastic town, full of history and plenty of really good shops.
Most definitely returning to this park.

Grossly overpriced site with dated facilities, definitely is not a five star site. £25/night for two at low season plus extra for dogs! The toilet block may have been something ten years ago, but let’s face it they are dated and flimsy shower curtains, only two sinks in wash up area for entire 108 pitch site. Management needs to follow the Caravan Clubs example and reinvest in upgrade in facilities.
The positive side is the pitches are spacious and well laid out. The park and ride with easy bus access into Shrewsbury at the site entrance is a great bonus avoiding the two mile walk into the centre of town along very busy main roads. The on site shop is poorly stocked with food, but generous amount of camping equipment. As mentioned in other reviews a large Co-op is located at the site entrance plus two takeaways.
Whilst the site is on the outskirts of Shrewsbury the location is neither a country location (with easy access to walks) nor town (with easy access to culture and entertainment). Overall very disappointed and feel out of pocket!

We spent new year here and the wardens did a fantastic job, we had a great new year, first time away for the new year and would definitely go again, could not fault our stay. Had a lovely Chinese from just by the co-op and Indian meal from gains park. Went for a meal to a lovely pub in Shrewsbury itself. Used the park and ride ideal just for a quick shopping trip into Shrewsbury. Would recommend going over the Xmas period again.

An ideal site for some winter camping on one of their adult only super-pitches and heated toilet block-avoided the frost but not the rain. Agree with all complimentary remarks for this site, this is a nice well run site and excellent for visiting Shrewsbury using the bus however we didn't use the park and ride because as previously pointed out last bus back is about 6-30, instead we used the Gains park number 1 accessed using the footpath almost opposite the Coop, buses are every 15 mins and last bus back just after 9pm. Had a meal and drink at the Grapes just down the road but disagree with previous comment as found this pub ok, they do a 2 meals for a tenner deal which was washed down with a few nice pints of Old Speckled Hen. Heard some distant road noise but didn't bother me.

This site is beautifully maintained to a high standard. The grounds are immaculate. The pitches are level and clean. The roads are properly tarmacked. Why then use sharp gravel on the pitches as it sticks to shoes and treads into the van.
The reception is well organised and has an extensive shop. There is a barrier for in and out which requires a fob for access.
A key is required for the toilets/showers (this can be a pain at times). I'm always a little suspicious when toilets and showers need to be locked. However, they are kept spotlessly clean at all times. The heating is a little overpowering and the water much, much too hot - shouldn't complain really.
Within a short walk there is a fish and chip shop, a chinese takeaway, a vets and a Co-op. The Park and Ride is next door and excellent value. Much cheaper than parking in the town.
The only thing I must really gripe about though is the charge for dogs. £3 per dog per night is overpriced. The dog walk is quite a walk to get to in itself, by the time you get to it the dogs have usually done what they went out for anyway. It's not much of a dog walk either. I do begrudge paying an extra £6 per night because I have two dogs. They don't use any facilities (they're not allowed in anywhere) and I really can't see what I'm paying for (can anyone enlighten me). I always pick up after my dogs wherever they are and I make sure that they are not a nuisance to anyone else.
Otherwise this is an excellent site in a great location.

On arrival at the site we were met by very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The grounds are well maintained and have lots of rabbits.
We stayed on the adult only part of the site on a serviced pitch.
I was surprised to notice road noise from the A5 which must be 1/2 mile away.
The facilities are always spotless but what I did not like was the shower curtains which I found stuck to you every time you showered.
The park and ride is at the entrance to the site which is very handy.
We had a nice meal at The Four Crosses in Bicton. There is a chinese and Fish and chip shop next to the park and ride.

Spent 4 lovely days at this site and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent facilities, the site was beautifully maintained. The shower/toilet facilities were excellent and there was a small shop on site which stocked basic products. The laundry facilities were excellent.
The staff were helpful and friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them. The nearby park and ride facility for getting into Shewsbury was good however the last service was at approx 6pm but it was fine for our needs.
When booking we asked for a quiet location and that is exactly what we were given, bliss. The view over the pond with the friendly ducks was worth waking up to every morning.
A site that was definitely worth every penny and a definite one to return to.
