Stayed two nights at the site and can say without doubt that the site and the management team richly deserve their many awards and high praise. The site is very clean extremely well thought out and maintained to a high standard. There is a large shop selling basic groceries and daily papers and also lots of equipment for campers and caravanners alike and non of it overpriced. They also have a conservatory tucked away at the back where you can go to get away from it all if it rains or you just want some peace. Plenty of leaflets about local attractions on offer and even a book for visitors to leave info on places to eat. The management team were welcoming and very helpful and special thanks have to go to Clive for his assistance when my car wouldn't start, not only was he very helpful but was also very knowledgeable about my car and undoubtedly saved me from making a very costly mistake. Overall fantastic site and we will definitely be visiting again. 10 out of 10.

Very well organised site with friendly staff. We stayed on the Adults only section and there is a path to the toilet block through the trees if you are pitched at the far end. The shop is very well stocked and the site is ideally located for the Co-op, fish and chip shop and the chinese takeaway which are less than 5 mins walk away from the site. The Park and Ride car park is through the gate from the site and the fare is £1 return which is excellent value for money. Shrewsbury is a lovely town with many independent shops as well as the usual high street retailers. There are 2 pubs within a five minute walk for families and a nice restaurant type pub within a five minute drive from the site. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would return if staying in the area.

Lovely site. Very friendly Warden / Manager. The Park & Ride next door to Shrewsbury is fab. Big Co-op, Chinese and Chippy also by Park and Ride and three pubs within walking distance. Toilets / showers excellent - very clean and of a high standard. Lovely big pitches - level etc. Play area quite small so more for the younger kids. All in all a good all round site and we will be returning in July.

We really like this site, very clean with immaculate toilets. We didn't have a problem with using a toilet key! Very peaceful but our dog, Jess was driven wild by all the rabbits and ducks running around just outside the caravan! I would definitely visit this site again. Recommend a visit to Cosford R.A.F. Museum about 45 minutes away.

August 2005 Visited this site for a weekend in August 05.
Lovely site, very well kept, very quiet. Toilets and showers were very clean, although you have a key for the block which is a slight pain.
We were in a tent, there is more caravans than tents on the site, that bothers some people. Two takeaways at top of site 5mins walk, a pub with indoor play area across the road and a large co-op next to takeaways all very handy. Apart from this there isn't much to do around the site aside from a park and ride into Shewsbury if you like shopping, I didn't enjoy this part of the weekend!
There is a childrens play area on site which although is very well kept is pretty basic, 4 swings and a slide.
Overall a very high standard campsite. The only slight problem that we all took away was that the people who run the site were slightly snooty. Don't wish to sound cruel to them, they were nice enough but I've been made to feel alot more welcome on other sites.

July 2005 Lovely level site. Joy to locate just off the A5, and right next to the park and ride into Shrewsbury.
Very quiet at night - and dark - take a torch!
£5 deposit for key to toilet block, which is lovely and clean.
Well stocked shop with a good range of caravan accessories.
Barrier control in and out of the site.
Definately will return.

July 2005 Stayed here with 6 other families in tents. Beautiful campsite, well run, we were pitched on the play area field all together, and the seventeen children we have between us had a fantastic time. We did have to apologise about our noise levels after the first night, but they were even friendly about that!
Some members of the party visited Shrewsbury on the park and ride and loved it. I stayed on the site full appreciating the peaceful setting.
It is a little pricey, but I believe the quality of this site gives good value for money.

May 2005 This is an excellent site if you have young children like ourselves, we were pitched at 104, there were about 5 caravans on this patch but it was ideally situated next to the park so the kids had some good freedom, they absolutely loved it here, not much out and about but a superb site for relaxing, a bit pricey but well worth it.
Toilets and shower block was fantasticly clean and spacious (have to leave £5.00 deposit for key so no one else can use them). Good shop on site for camping equipment, and pop etc.
There is a local chip shop (try the battered pea ball-nice)and chinese in walking distance also a pub with a wacky warehouse and excellent priced menu (bogof).
Well worth another visit.

August 2004 This is a huge campsite, we camped in adult only section and had place virtually to ourselves. Very professionally run. Large shop selling most things you would need for camping. Having a key for showers etc is a pain but they are great showers. It is quite a walk from adult only pitches to the toilet block.
The park and ride takes 5 mins to walk to and it is about 10-15 mins ride into Shrewsbury which I thought was a great town. Lots of nice shops both normal high street and independents, some funky bars down by the river and all the buildings had tried to keep original tudor look and feel.
There is also a chippie and chinese walkable from campsite, if you don't fancy eating in Shrewsbury.
We would defintely stay here again and would recommend Shrewsbury as a great place for a weekend away.

July 2004 We found this site very clean and tidy, excellent facilities. 2 pubs within walking distance, which seemed to cater for families, whereas I prefer an old-fashioned real-ale pub. My wife loved the shower-block and laundry facilities. It was expensive, though, and very quiet (huge site). Shrewsbury is very nice, and the site is close to lots of interesting places, especially in Wales. Well recommended.
