We had a very pleasant stay here during our tour of the West Country. This is a pretty site with plenty of colourful flowers and decorations, particularly enjoyed the old style wooden caravan at the front of the site, all the facilities were available, clean & well signed.
Shower & Toilet block excellent, very clean and warm and with fresh flowers a really lovely pretty sight.
The owners were friendly and very helpful.
There is a small shop in reception we enjoyed a 'cream tea to go' from here.
There are also a few holiday static caravans and apartments to let,so something for everyone.
Site is in fantastic location, right by the river and a few mins walk into Cheddar village,
We enjoyed a lovely pub lunch in The White Hart, close to the gorge which is in easy walking distance and serves local cider.

We have just returned home from spending a week in Cheddar Bridge camp site.(Adults Only) The touring site is very clean & level with separate camping field also immaculate with excellent facilities.
There are also self catering apartments & static caravans for hire. The owners were so friendly & helpful that it became contagious amongst the other residents on the park. The village is a short walk as is the gorge, pubs, shops, etc. T
he surrounding villages are all worth a visit. We discovered the Strawberry Line run past the end of the park, this starts with the footpath from the site into the village (which is recommended to avoid walking along the road which is only a couple hundred yards but no pavement)
The Strawberry Line is a disused railway running from Cheddar to Yatton, now a cycle/pedestrian path which also runs through a tunnel with the home of Thatchers Cider just off Sandford station.
There is also a cycle/pedestrian path running round the cheddar reservoir. We would recommend this site and definitely use it again.

Stayed at this site for a week and found it to be a nice site, however the showers do need a good deep clean.
The pitches are small and we ended up 2 foot from the the neighbouring tent. There is a river that runs round the edge of the site and is not very attractive as campers have thrown rubbish into the river.
The tent field only has 4 electric hookups so you will need to book in advance.
We emailed the site owner twice and got no response.
I feel a little disappointed with the site but overall the experience was not a bad one.

This site is all about the location. It is within walking distance to Cheddar Gorge and we visited Glastonbury, Wells (which were both lovely and well worth a visit)and we also took the steam railway to Minehead which was really nice.
If you want to do this, I would recommend spending a day and then you can get off at the stations. We only had an afternoon so went straight to Minehead.
Cheddar Gorge is amazing - do the 3 mile cliff top walk if you can as the views are amazing.
The White Hart pub does a lovely Ploughmans and we had good fish and chips from Tuckers. The site itself is very pretty and well maintained and the facilities are very clean.
The big downside to this site which I can't believe other people haven't mentioned as other campers definitely complained along with us is that the pitches are so tiny. You are literally packed in like sardines.
Not so bad in a caravan but in a tent you feel like you are in a goldfish bowl! No privacy at all. This also means you can hear everything from other tents - no good if you like to go to bed early. This put us off so not sure if we'd return unless we could reserve a pitch in the camping field where there is more room. Such a shame as it spoils a lovely site.
Oh, the other thing is the church bells - these chime every 15 mins, including all through the night so again, not good if you're a light sleeper.

Just spent four nights at cheddar bridge touring park.
If only more sites were like this it was very friendly. Toilet blocks were clean no spotless you could (if the mood takes you) eat your dinner off the floor.
Five minute walk your in the gorge plenty to see and do.
This is an adult only site so no children running around also the local shop calls in each morning with papers bread etc etc just in case you don't feel like walking to the shops.
Anyway had a brilliant time recommend too all.
What are you waiting for.
The road is a bit of a test but there is a foot path round the back way for the nervous I did not find it but did not mind the road too much bus stop five mins up the road to wells and much more.
Will be going back again also look for there alsation he is a lovely soft dog play with him but don't expect to just get away with a pat I was playing with him for five mins before he had enough.

Just returned from a 3 nights stay at Cheddar Bridge Touring Park.
Lovely welcome from the owners on arrival and everything was easy to find. The field was well laid out and nice and quiet. We didn't hear the road that was mentioned on other feedback we read before we booked, but we did hear the church bells. This we thought was lovely to hear as where we live we are used to a cockerel every morning.
The facilities were clean, although the site needs more showers as only 2 in the main block in the ladies and I had to wait until one became available. Toilets in the tenting area could do with improving as they look a little run down.
Cheddar was a lovely day out, I would recommend the Cheddar Gorge Cheese Factory only 1.95 entry well worth a visit. Also Wells was beautiful, a great day out.
To eat out in Cheddar we would highly recommend the Riverside Inn, great food, happy staff and lovely location, about 10 mins walk from the camp. Great on a Wednesday night too for the pub quiz.
We would return to the site and would recommend this to anyone. However if you think the church bells would keep you awake or you are a light sleeper then this is not for you. Location for us was perfect as you can walk to the George and everything is close by.

Had a rare child free weekend so decided to try this adults only site for 3 nights for a chillax. Have to say thought it was fab as follows
Pitches
Large clean and well tended, we had a riverside with electric and were thoroughly pleased with it very wide and fit our large twin axle plus car, large awning and still had a lovely grassy area to sit by the river for £15 we were delighted
Facilities
Bike hire, drinks / scones / milk available from reception, recycling but nothing else very quiet and peaceful
Toilet / Showers
Spotless, warm, Marks & Spencers handwash and piped music - delightful
Owners
Friendly helpful efficient lots of local knowledge
The site is off a quite busy road but you couldn't hear traffic noise within the site, 5 minute walk into cheddar with banks/chemist a few specialist shops and bars/pubs etc.
Cheddar gorge beautiful a 5 - 10 minute car ride lots to see and do very quaint. Cheddar reservoir beautiful - 10 mins by car. We also visited Weston / Burnham & Brean.
Weather was glorious and fellow campers quite and friendly couldn't hear a peep after 9pm even from the camping field a little gem would definitely recommend and revisit

Had a very pleasant 3 night stay here. Ok sized pitches (could be a little cramped with awnings etc) Was pretty much full when we stayed as weather was lovely!
Toilet block excellent, clean and warm.
Owners were friendly and very helpful.
Small shop in reception selling the basics + bits and bobs.
Some nice looking holiday homes for hire (not many, blended in with rest of site)
Site is in fantastic location, right by the river and 10 mins walk into Cheddar, lovely views all round. I am a light sleeper so yes I did hear the church bells! (C.C site next door, pitches a good few pounds more)
Walked the Cheddar gorge cliff walk, fantastic views, caves are worth a look if its your 1st time, also walked to Cheddar reservoir.
Riverside pub was good for food and beer. Cheddar cheese shop worth a look too. Tesco express, Budgens 10 min walk. Lovely area and will return.

An excellent adults only site. Well set out and very pretty. The facilities were perfect. Lovely walks to the village, where there were excellent shopping facilities. Must not forget the car boot, in walking distance on Sunday morning. What a car boot I have never seen anything like it, 3 hours to walk around it. Its a must visit. Very easy to find the site, the owners were very friendly, Football club at end of lane which also served food. Also pub in the village. We will definitely be going back there.

Just back from a 4 day stay at this site, and what a pleasure it was. Small very friendly family run site, within easy walking distance of cheddar village & attractions, with plenty of options for eating and drinking. The toilets kept very clean and there were two showers in the mens block with a changing area for each. This area was also kept very clean, and same for the ladies. There was also a unisex bath in it's own building, which I thought was a nice touch.
We will definitely be returning
