Lovely park in a charming village, nice choice of pitches with a good distance between units, toilets and showers neat and clean, helpful and friendly owners handy footpath which led to dog walking field by river a great base for visiting the area stayed 2 weeks recommended decent beach for dogs is brean sands and also a portion of Weston super mare, gorge is in walking distance but use side path and not main entrance as no footpath

Nice little site - very quiet (unless you are bothered by a church clock which chimes every quarter - we're not!) We were able to choose our pitch, which was particularly good as we were there during the short-lived early July heatwave and were able to pick a shady spot by the river.
Facilities are quite dated, but very clean with decent showers.
Other people have mentioned the potentially hazardous walk into the village. We only found the safer footpath by chance on our first full day there. Perhaps the owner could signpost it from the site, or at least tell people about it on arrival?
We would certainly consider using this site again if in the area.

We have been to this site a number of times. The owners are very friendly and the camp site is kept clean and tidy. The shower and toilet block is kept clean and tidy. The camp site is an easy walk to Cheddar where there are plenty of shops and pubs. Some people have commented that it can be dangerous walking to the village but there is an easier way to the village which goes along an old railway line that is tarmaced. The only downside to our visit this time was being woken up by drunks bashing our caravan at 1 30 am on the Sunday. I would assume that they had left the rugby club which is situated between cheddar bridge camp site and the caravan club camp site, not a very pleasant experience. It would have helped if the side gate was locked every night.

Stayed two nights very close to main town of cheddar. Good to explore. Beware of the short walk to town as no pavement and some drivers minimal consideration to the highway code. There is a short path from the middle of The caravan part which avoids the road. Most shop towards the Gorge. This very nice site with all good facilities and very clean.
Tent field is level and large with tables set in the field. Owner/ staff very cheerful helpful.
Only thing spoiling is we saw people with dogs 'exercising' them in the Tent field. Signs to say dogs on lead but some reason dogs run about and no doubt poo in tent field. The site is spilt caravans and tents.
Lovely church around corner with chiming clock you can hear.

A very good site. Nice location, good facilities and friendly and helpful owners. All the required shops, eating places etc close to hand. Had a great weekend, the highlight of which was the bike ride along the Strawberry line the old railway line from Cheddar to Yatton, passes through the Thatchers cider orchards.

This is a great little site. We were given the choice of pitches available on arrival, which I always prefer, and we picked a spot by the river towards the bottom of the site. We had plenty of space, however some of the pitches nearer the facilities block appeared a little smaller, or at least having less room between the pitches (this may however just have been that my unit is only a small campervan with utility tent and is therefore obviously going to take up a lot less space than a caravan, awning and car, which many people were using). The village is in walking distance and despite one or two reviews stating that access is via a narrow road, you can avoid this by using a footpath by the river and over the bridge into the village. The nearest pub, The Bath Arms, (dog friendly) and shops were less than a 10 minute walk, with the hub of the village being about 15 minutes away by foot. There is obviously the caves and gorge on your doorstep and further afield there is plenty to see and so. We will definitely be back.

We liked this site for its compact size and layout, which suited our tastes. The shower and toilets were clean and the site well maintained. Staff very helpful, (especially when administering first aid to a cut finger!).
The site is within walking distance of Cheddar village and Gorge. There is a path leading directly from the site entrance to the village, avoiding the main road, which is very narrow.

From the instant I emailed to enquire about the Euro pod and Gypsy caravan availability I was impressed with the service. David and Tracy were quick to reply, professional and friendly!
On arrival and greeted by David who was happy and smiling. We were surprised to be given a choice of pods, but added bonus we wouldn't expect normally! Great location of the pods very quiet and situated by the river. They were as described and made such a nice change from our usual weekend breaks of hotels and will be doing it again.
All the facilities were plentiful, clean and well laid out. Everyone we met were friendly and nothing but great things to be said about the site! Much better than I have ever been to before in the past.
Thank you for a great weekend and see you again soon!

Stayed for 2 nights late September, a lovely site friendly welcome, level pitch, clean facilities, all you can ask for in a campsite. A bonus being adult only too. A short walk into Cheddar village. Lovely quiet site, wasn't at all troubled by the the church bells. Was pleasantly surprised with the gorge and caves. Nice pubs in the area, especially the White Hart. Lovely pint of ale and friendly locals. Will most certainly return.
