I definitely have mixed feelings about this site. The pitches are adequate but not overly large, it is near the road so there is some road noise and unless you have good mobility you would not be able to leave the site without taking a vehicle or else risk life and limb with the narrowing road and bridge immediately outside the site. You can access a walk alongside the river across a little bridge, however with this being set between 2 campsites both allowing dogs on site the immediate area is obviously used as a dog relieving area and therefore is not the most peasant of walks.
The toilet and shower blocks were spotlessly clean with ample hot water for both the showers and basin. There are some lovely little touches around such as solar lights on some trees and the washing up area being stocked with washing up liquid and cloths.
We did enjoy our 2 night stay at this site, however we would not return.

Just come home today after a fantastic bank holiday weekend here. Campsite is lovely. Small, but perfectly formed as they say. The pitches are quite close together, so you do have to take care when pitching. I think there's approx. 40 pitches for caravans and motorhomes, but they do have camping field for tents and pods and a gypsy caravan and static caravan to hire. As an adult only site, it was nice on a bank holiday not to have loads of children running around. All the facilities were clean and plenty of hot water available. We didn't have to queue for the showers and the washing up area was all very clean. The site is next door to the church yard and you can hear the church bells ringing every half hour even through the night. I'm a light sleeper so I did notice this, but I suppose you would get used to it. I wouldn't take marks off, but feel it should be mentioned. We went for the cycling on the Strawberry line, which was a short ride away and a lovely ride. Taking us through Thatchers cider orchards. We went as far as Yatton and stopped for tea at the Railway station there, which was very posh for a station (homecooked cakes and meals). The ride itself was a 23 mile round trip through beautiful countryside. The campsite is a short stroll into the village which was ideal for visiting the Gorge. We also had Sunday lunch out at the newly refurbished Bath Arms. Will definitely recommend this campsite and hope to return soon

We stayed at this site for the first time for two nights last week and it was so great we are leaving the 5 star site we are on now to return. The site is just what we wanted, friendly, peaceful and facilities are all clean and ample for the size of the site. We are looking forward to returning. The only thing I would say is be careful on entry over the little bridge it is a bit tight!

We stayed here in June and thought it was a great site. Well laid out, clean toilets and showers also nice and quiet. Nice and close to visit the gorge and caves which are about 10-15 minute walk away (so is the nearest pub). Theres no path outside of the campsite but the owner kindly showed us how to get into town without dodging the traffic. We only stayed over night so didn't have time to try out the other facilities. Would definitely go back

I honestly can't fault this site. It is a very pretty site, well maintained and most of it seems to get a lot of sun. I was with a club rally and we had 12 pitches on the main site and 3 on the camping field, which was also very attractive and sunny. There is a church close by but I can't say I heard the clock strike every 15 minutes and it certainly didn't keep me awake.
The toilets and showers were very good, the shower cubicles large.
Outside the back gate of the site is a path along the river which opens out to a grassed area where it is safe for dogs to run off the lead. If you cross the bridge a few yards along the path, you can walk into the village without touching the road, which is quite busy and I don't think it has a footpath.
In the village there is a Tesco Extra and quite a large Budgens. Buses to Wells and Weston super Mare stop at the cross about every half hour or so.
There are plenty of things to do - the gorge, the caves, an open top bus etc. And they're all included in an £18 ticket.
Lots of places to eat and drink and everything within 10/15 minutes walk of the site.

Lovely site, so close to The Gorge, Wookey Hole and many more areas of interest. Very clean and well kept, quiet and relaxing too. As many have said the church clock does chime every 15 mins but you hardly notice it after being there a short while and certainly didn't stop us sleeping, if it was nearer to us we would be here every month but was well worth our journey

This is a lovely site. It's spotlessly clean. The owner was lovely and very helpful. It's an ideal location for the local attractions. The cliff walk is long and rugged in places, but well worth doing. There is a great Sunday market in walking distance of the site. The Gardeners pup is off the beaten track but great food and beer. Will use the site again if we are in the area.

We have just stayed in the Gypsy Caravan over bank holiday weekend. Location of the site is excellent and you can walk to all the attractions in Cheddar. Shops, pubs and takeaways all close by. The Gypsy caravan is not located on its own private riverbank as advertised on the website but it's current location in the camping field is perfect as you get the sun all day from your own decking outside the caravan but caution when wet and muddy, the decking steps are very slippery! Main shower/ toilet block is excellent, very clean and spacious. The unisex bathroom shower is great, continuous hot water without the need to keep pressing a button! The camping field toilets (1male and 1 female) are a bit grotty and could do with a bit of TLC. Washing up area is ok, only 1 sink in the one closest to the camping field but there was never a queue. There is also a fridge freezer located here which is great. Adults only site so it's very peaceful and everyone seemed to adhere to the no noise between 11pm and 8 am rule.

This had been a site we have visited for years and still its our favourite.
We have camped here but also used their dog friendly riverside kingfisher watching static caravan. It is extremely comfortable, clean and the bedding is super.
We have also stayed in their little wagons in the camping field.
This site is beautiful, adults only so therefore quiet. Central to the town centre. Owners are lovely and make sure everything is ok for you.
Showers and toilets clean and hot.
A bonus with this site is the fridge and freezer for the campers.
Couldn't recommend this site any higher.
