Spent 7 days at the site and had an excellent time. The site has 2 touring areas with plenty of space and the rest are static caravans. The area is well kept with regularly cut grass.
The shop is open throughout the day and is well stocked with the basics.
The bar is open all day and we had several very nice evening meals in good surroundings.
The toilet and shower facilities are good with plenty of hot water and they are clean. Unfortunately they are a bit of a walk from the touring area.
There is a 5 minuet easy walk into Hemsby Gap with an excellent beach and other facilities.
Overall a nice site, well situated and when we are next in the area we will use again.

Just had a lovely weekend with my husband and dog at at the Long Beach Caravan Club sister site Hemsby Touring and Tent site. This was our first time to this area of Norfolk and also our first trip in our new although second hand caravan! We didn't put our awning up as only there for 2 nights this time but we would have had plenty of room for this. We had electric hook-up.
Very warm and friendly welcome - we were escorted to our pitch. This site is a nicely mown grass field surrounded by trees and bushes, with toilet and shower block.
Showers and Toilet block are great very modern, even has child seats at sinks so you can seat your child safely while you wash! - one criticism and its to the users not wardens - please leave your shower as you would expect to find! There is a mop and bucket available to mop the floor when you are finished!
Water available at several points. Chemical waste disposal behind toilet block.
You can use all the facilities at Long Beach which is 300yrds along the lane. We stopped at the Dolphin Bar for a drink on our way back on an evening. Food served there looked very good although we didn't eat there. Very friendly! Also small shop on site.
It wasn't very busy over the weekend only about 20 units on site so it was lovely and peaceful although it does get very busy as its only open during school holidays normally!
We found it fantastic for our dog. Only 5-10 mins walk to fantastic sand dunes and a lovely sandy beach. It is a steep climb over the sand dunes to get there straight from the site. We used the grassy path to the left of the sandy path way to get up - much easier. You can turn left and walk through the valley to main Hemsby beach for easier access only about 10mins away.
Dogs are allowed on the beach.
We walked along the beach to Winterton had a cup of tea at the cafe, then came back through the sand dunes. We were out for 2 hours in all. It was a gorgeous walk only passed a few other people. Nice and secluded. There is also a nice flat valley to walk along. Only sounds were the waves on the beach and birdsong. Heaven!
We also walked in the other direction to Hemsby amusements again about 10 mins away. Here there is plenty to do, with lots of things to amuse children. Plenty of clubs and places to eat. Can't wait to take our 5 year old granddaughter there!
Hemsby Village is about 10 mins walk inland with a Spar shop, Fish and Chip shop, Post Office, Pub etc.
We found it an ideal place for us and the dog. It is also somewhere we would like to take the grandchildren. Nice and quiet it you want that. 10 ins walk to amusements if that's what you like.
We will definitely go back next season. We are just upset they won't be open in October when we want to go away again!
Overall we loved this site, it's exactly what we were looking for. Just wished it was open when children are at school as this is when we tend to go away!

I read the reviews so it tipped me off on what pitch to request nearer to the bathroom block, not the temporary toilet block. The campsite people explained that the council would not give them permission to build a permanent block in the other field. The main toilet block was immaculate. I never found it in an unclean state at anytime. Also there were plug points available for electrical appliances ie hairdryers. There were even infant seats attached to the walls so your hands are free to wash etc. At the sinks. There was a sink block in front of the main block, which had hot water.
The wardens were friendly and did regular rounds the campsite to make sure everyone was ok. There's takeaway services and facilities on site i. E a small store and bar. We did not avail ourselves of these services. Pitches were flat and the beach was sandy, clear and about 10 mins walk away from our pitch.
It's a large campsite. I noticed a small playground on the way to the beach. I went with 3 families so the children tended to play near our tents and we brought our own stuff to keep the children busy. The people at the campsite was welcoming and friendly. It was the best campsite we have been to so far.

We stayed at the Hemsby site where we had our own private large pitch area with electric hook up. The staff are all very friendly and helpful.
The toilet and shower blocks are well stocked and very clean (although a little dated are key opened) with plenty of hot water. The only minor problem we had due to our pitch location was to have to walk past pub to go to toilet bit embarrassing for 13 year old in her pjs! The shower block was further down the road past the statics.
The Blue Dolphin serves lovely meals reasonably priced and had entertainment on 6 out of the 7 nights when we were there, 1 night karaoke, 1 quiz night in aid of Help the Heroes and 4 singers.
The site also has two play areas one next to the pub for children up to 12 and another they recommend for the older children with swings and a see-saw. The shop stocked the basics, however there are other shops within a short walk or drive including a spar.
An ideal location for the beach with a short walk (and no parking fees) to a lovely beach where my three children enjoyed swimming and playing with inflatables in the sea.
There is also a short walk to Beach Road where there are various places to eat and arcades and rides to keep all ages entertained. We would recommend the two way cafe for excellent home cooked food and value for money!
Great Yarmouth is also only 7 miles away with all its attractions and superstores. We spent Wednesday there so we could see the fireworks which run weekly throughout August at 10 o'clock.
Hemsby is a lovely little seaside resort ideal for a family beach holiday.

A lovely site with easy access to all local amenities and attractions. Pleasant toilets/shower blocks, and very friendly, helpful staff. There is a basic shop/newsagent on site, however it is only a 5 minute walk to either a Spar shop or Hemsby.
There is also a very useful launderette.
My only criticisms would be about the club, and the site speed limits. Site speed limits are frequently not adhered to (sometimes very dangerously) and unfortunately the wardens were not setting a very good example.
My other criticism would be the 'entertainment' in the club. Over the two weeks we were there (first two weeks of August - Peak season?) there were four nights with no entertainment at all, four nights of Karaoke (very loose description.
In reality a succession of primary school aged kids all wanting to squawk the same song!), two quiz nights and only four nights of 'proper' entertainment. Those four nights however were very good.
I would certainly visit this site again, however I would make some alternative evening arrangements.

This is the second time we have stayed at this site and we love it. Having three small children there is a sand pit which is great, the kids have something to do while we are setting up and they make friends quickly.
The shower blocks are the cleanest we have ever seen. There is plug sockets so you can dry your hair. The staff are friendly and you get a welcome pack with all information you need on arrival.
Site is very private with a private lane leading to it, it is quite narrow but there are pull in points if a car is coming the other way.
Attractions are a 5-10 minute walk away with a little fair to keep the kids happy. Plenty off shops and places to eat and it has a lovely beach
We absolutely love this site and will be using it for many years to come.

We stayed at the Hemsby site, on the same road as the main site.
The facilities were lovely, we often ran into the wardens cleaning them out and restocking the loo roll! The portable loo's in the other field were not as nice, but still completely usable.
The nightlife at the Dolphin bar wasn't up to much but the Karaoke was good. Overall we liked the site a lot. There was lots of space to play and plenty of children making good use of the space.
Special mention to the Pizza shop near the Spar! Sorted us out when we couldn't be bothered to cook on our first night!
Nearby Hemsby and Great Yarmouth have lots to do. The Hemsby Mega Maze is worth a trip.
One of our favourite sites to date.

A well located site which is almost right on the dunes, The site has excellent facilities for kids & there are a number of pitches next to the play park. The beach is lovely & sandy & the walks along the Dunes are excellent, We saw loads of seals during our evening walk towards Winterton.
The site facilities were always spotless & the showers were always piping hot.
The site staff were all very helpful, friendly & happy all the time.
There is loads to do in Hemsby & a good choice of pubs & cafes. The fish mongers on the main Yarmouth road at Scratby is well worth a visit during your stay, if you wanted fish any fresher you'll need to catch it yourself :). I also recommend a walk up to Dunes Cafe at Winterton for a cup of tea & a slice of home made cake.
This site ticked all the right boxes for me & I will return :))

Me my husband, two teenage children and our dog just spent 5 nights here camping. We didn't have electric hook up although they are available.
There was plenty of room around our pitch and the staff were friendly and helpful. I felt it was a good value site no charge for the showers which were always clean tidy and fully stocked (loo paper soap)
The showers were hot but the pressure was very low there was a sign up saying that there was a problem caused by the water board but it was now fixed
Hemsby is a nice little seaside town with everything you would expect to find.
The bar on site was dog friendly which was very nice and the food was good value my son and husband both had steak and all the trimmings cooked just to their liking.
The beach was beautiful and only down the road although you'll need to be fit to take the shortcut over the dunes

Great site for families. This site belongs to three sites (Long beach, Hemsby tenting and touring, The Grange) We stayed at Hemsby tenting and touring.
POSITIVES: Large even well cut pitch sizes, Very friendly and welcoming owners who are more than happy to help with any requests, walking distance to a fantastic beach (15 mins)where the kids spent hours jumping off sand dunes.
Walking distance to Hemsby tourist road with amusements, cafes and shops. 5 miles to Great Yarmouth where you will find all the large supermarkets. Brand new shower and toilet block which was kept immaculately clean, large showers, plenty of toilets and sinks. Fantastic disabled facility, 10 min walk to the Dolphin Bar which has entertainment and food.
NEGATIVE: Two fields one fields has the new shower block the other field has portaloos (which were clean). It was only a 5 min walk to the shower block. No children's play area.
Will definitely be returning to this site and hope the weather is better.
