We were part of a 2 family unit. Our children are 9 and 10, our friends are 5 and 2. As soon as we arrived and as soon as we saw the tatty static as a reception, we wondered what we had let ourselves in for. The main entrance lane is very narrow but the site itself is a rectangle with a newly built brick shower / loo block. One end had a sandpit with real beach sand. Tesco is 4 miles away and a Spar is less than 1 mile for basics.
The loo block itself was always clean and loo roll was plentiful (please note there are noO soap at all in here - not even a dispenser)
We were pitched on numbers 6 & 7. Whilst we had shelter from the trees, it did not effect the tv or mobile signals, but it did mean later on in the day it was a lot cooler / breezy. The weather Sat till Weds was awful but like a flick switch it became scorching the latter part of the week!
We visited Great Yarmouth beach as it was only 7 miles away, Dinosaur Adventure £40 for a family of 4 but easily a full day out and 50 mins away, then finally BeWILDerwood a mere 13 miles away, all great days out for the family and entertained all the kids, despite their varied ages.
We enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra night. A mere £16.50 extra. We paid £140 for 7 nights with elec and a full awning.
The funfair was a bit dated but the younger ones had fun, there are amusements a 5 min walk and a beach which is accessed via a very steep sand dune. We preferred the beach at Gt Yarmouth.
A very relaxing time was had and I like the fact that you have ample room and its in no way overcrowded, we even had a strip down the centre for a game of football - this meant we added other campers and brought a few together.
Fab site, shame about the lack of basic provisions, such as soap and a park but I liked Hemsby Tent & Touring more than Long Beach site itself, the Blue Dolphin bar was also a bit dated but we didn't visit, the laundrette is next door to it and a 5 min walk from the site we were on.
Looking forward to going back, maybe latter summer holidays

All I can say is thank god we picked this site, luckily we had wonderful weather, but the wardens were amazing, very friendly and extremely helpful the site is immaculate especially the shower block and washing up area.
The dolphin bar offers amazing meals at very low prices we fed 4 of us for £20.00. The beach is amazing as long as you don't mind the steep incline of the dunes but worth the effort.
Its a shame the main field is only open during school holidays. All we can say is this is the best family holiday we have ever had and if you want to go camping please visit this site as it is well worth it absolutely amazing.
There is a huge sand pit in the main field which our children spent the whole week in and cant wait to go back next year which I'm positive we will be.

We camped here for one night with another family and were given a private area near the holiday homes rather than on the main campsite. Site and facilities were lovely and clean. Had to pay £2 for a key to the toilet which was slightly annoying given that I'm useless with keys and the toilets in the bar were closer! Ate at the Dolphin Bar, friendly staff, nice food and reasonably priced. Kids loved the park area. Found the climb over the dunes very hard work but looking at other reviews looks like we should have tried looking for easier paths! During the day we had a lovely time.
Sadly I could not say this about the night time. Discovered that the two lanes either side of our area were not just access to the holiday homes as we assumed but were used for access to Hemsby and Winterton. Fortunately we blocked up the two exits to our area with a car and a windbreak to keep our kids in but it also prevented drunken passerbys from the local nightclub coming onto our pitch. It did not stop the noise (worst night sleep I've ever had camping in my life) and it didn't prevent a couple of idiots throwing metal fence poles in hitting one of our cars and ripping through the roof of our tent very close to our sleeping children. Reported the incidence to reception and were told it would be reported to the police as a holiday home has also been damaged and would probably be caught on CCTV. We packed up asap and went home. On our return contacted the site and found that no action had been taken and told to report it ourselves if we wanted to claim on our insurance

We stayed at this site for just 2 nights in a small tent.
The site was well looked after. All grass areas were well tended and the toilet block and facilities were immaculate. It was a pleasure to use the site.
We were a bit unlucky with the weather but still enjoyed getting out and about and exploring the area. We didn't use the shop or restaurant facilities as we were out and about and enjoyed a meal in a local pub.
Local scenery and beaches are lovely and I would have no hesitation in recommending the site to others.

Stayed here 5 days over Easter weekend nice site mostly flat pitches (Hemsby tent and touring). Showers and toilets were clean; showers could have been a bit more powerful the shower block could have done with heating very cold in their.
Hemsby was in easy walking distance as was the beach. Site staff friendly and helpful we would go their again the club house was a short walk to main site their was entertainment on most nights beer was ok did not try food.
Hemsby had a few chip shops and takeaways and a pub fun fair and arcades. Site had shop but we did not go in Spare shop was just up the road in walking distance.

We visited this site in the october half term holidays and it was the last week the park was open. The park itself wasn't very easy to access with a caravan on the back of the car because the road was very narrow and near to the park entrance there was cars parked on the side of the road. The site owners were very friendly and helpful.
There is a small shop on the site which was pretty empty when we went due to it being the end of the season, the pub on the site was very quiet most nights apart from the Friday when they had a halloween party.
The surrounding area is very nice with Hemsby and the village of Newport just a short walk away and Great Yarmouth about a 10 minute drive. On the whole we enjoyed our stay at this site and I think during the summer it would be very busy with lots more to do however in the October half term its very quiet so if you have young children you may want to consider an alternative location.

Well what can I say this place is just brilliant.
Really welcoming on arrival.Large pitches. We have a 9mtr tent and we had plenty of room even with it up.
The toilet blocks are so clean and are always being cleaned throughout the day.
The facilities are also good with the pub and food being served. The beach is lovely golden sand.
This has got to be one of the best holidays that we have had in our tent campsite wise.
I will definitely be returning.

Just back from a 2 night stay at this site with my boyfriend. Stayed on the big tent field (Hemsby tent and touring), which although it was a bank holiday weekend, we had plenty of room and were allowed to choose our pitch. We weren't on electric, but there seemed to be a lot of electric hookup points on both fields.
Good facilities: The Dolphin bar had lots going on in the evenings, however, I wouldn't recommend the food as it's not very good value for money! Nicely stocked shop, play areas looked safe for kids, nice washing-up and laundry areas. The main toilet block was lovely with big shower cubicles, plenty of toilets and electric sockets. The portacabin in our field needs a little TLC as it was a bit dated, not very tidy and there wasn't any hot water! There also wasn't any soap in either of the toilet blocks during the whole of our stay!
The site owners and staff were very friendly and down-to-earth, we were even told on our last night that we didn't have to rush to vaccate our pitch, and could stay another night if we wanted to, good customer service!
Overall, I would recommend this site to anyone. The location was great, a short walk to the beach and Hemsby attractions, and not far to drive into Yarmouth. Just make sure you take plenty of soap for the toilet blocks!

Not long returned from a lovely weeks holiday at the Hemsby tent and touring site. A fantastic time had by all! The toilets and showers were clean and rarely did we wait for long to use them. The Dolphin bar and shop were great, close by and reasonably priced. The wardens on site were very friendly and helpful. The beach was close by, you could choose between the noisier more touristy end or the quiet end, we did both and each was clean and tidy with gorgeous 'proper' sand. We would have liked a permanent toilet and shower block on the second field as the portaloo was a bit primitive but it wasn't too much trouble to walk the short distance to the main field. Some sort of playground for the children would be a good idea as ours was too young to go up to the main site, apart from those 2 small things we will definitely be visiting again.

Just home from a week on this lovely site. As previously mentioned pitches were huge, loos plentiful and clean, roomy showers that certainly weren't powerful but were fine (a sign on the wall suggests they are aware of this and are addressing the issue). Staff very welcoming and rode around the site on scooters checking every thing was ship shape. Very well organised. We were in the first touring field which is the furthest away from the sea and dunes. Our 12 yr old boys happily toddled off to the beach a couple of times. Dolphin bar is large with plenty of staff and tables outside. We had a couple of trips to Hemsby village which the children really enjoyed (small fair with a waltzer, dodgems etc). Lots of shops selling boats, glow sticks & rock. The Lacon arms is a good place to sit while children have a look round for an hour- extremely hard working staff here especially the land lady. Avoid the chippy with the dolphin outside. truly the worst we've ever had. Had a ride out to Cromer so the children could go crabbing. Really nice olde worlde english seaside town (Mary janes fish & chip cafe is fabulous). The small beach at Caister is really clean & quiet compared to the business of Hemsby main beach with just a small cafe selling ice creams and kites.
