A well located site which is almost right on the dunes, The site has excellent facilities for kids & there are a number of pitches next to the play park. The beach is lovely & sandy & the walks along the Dunes are excellent, We saw loads of seals during our evening walk towards Winterton.
The site facilities were always spotless & the showers were always piping hot.
The site staff were all very helpful, friendly & happy all the time.
There is loads to do in Hemsby & a good choice of pubs & cafes. The fish mongers on the main Yarmouth road at Scratby is well worth a visit during your stay, if you wanted fish any fresher you'll need to catch it yourself :). I also recommend a walk up to Dunes Cafe at Winterton for a cup of tea & a slice of home made cake.
This site ticked all the right boxes for me & I will return :))

Great site, has two fields we were on the far field which was nice and quiet, only gripe is that on the field that we were on they only had portable toilets which were cold & not very clean, the proper toilets and shower block were in main field about 300yds away, not a problem in nice weather, but may as well be two day camel trek when its lashing it with rain! Clubhouse down the lane was good with an interesting singer as entertainment, all in all a good site within easy walking distance of amusements in hemsby, will deffo visit again, and if the owners read these, please spend some money and put showers in both fields!

Cant praise them enough. It was my first camping trip ever and the wardens were so helpful. One of them stopped by on a regular basis to ensure everything was ok.
Toilets and showers were spotless and bags of room for my huge tent. As it was the end of the season I was allowed to spread onto adjacent pitches.
The beach was only a few minutes walk away and plenty of fish and chips available to keep the kids happy.
Thanks to the owners diligence we shall continue with the camping experience - it has encouraged us.
Will definitely return

We have just got back from an overnight stay at the Tent and Touring part of Long Beach, Myself, husband, daughter and dog). When we booked I specifically asked to be near the brick toilet block which was no problem, the very friendly lady was very accommodating.
When we arrived the equally friendly staff were exceptionally helpful. The pitches were nice and roomy, ample room for tent and extras.
The toilets/showers were the best I have ever seen on a campsite. Always clean and well stocked, I loved the piped music, the washing up facilities were also clean with lots of lovely hot water.
I do agree with the previous comments about the showers, there was a button on the wall which delivered a set amount of water, which was nice and hot although a bit too close to the wall.
Having said this some places I have stayed at are much worse (I remember having to keep the button on the wall pushed and trying to shower under luke warm water even closer to the wall at one site!).
The site always seemed to be clean and tidy. We walked to the village along the beach, although for some this may be a bit too far or difficult for those less agile. There is a walk through the bungalows to the village which is quite flat.
Hemsby itself (for those not familiar) is a lovely little village sea resort, with the usual shop and food outlets and a small amount of 'rides'. We visited the Dolphin pub for a few bevvies in the evening, our daughter loved playing in the park alongside it, the staff were once again very friendly.
All in all a very pleasant stay and we thoroughly enjoyed testing out our new tent. I would definitely go back again and am considering a longer stay next year. Although it is only open for Easter, Whitsun and the summer holidays.
There was a sandpit on site for our daughter to play in but nothing else, she is an only child so prefers playing at parks etc. Maybe we will take a friend along for her too play with next time.
The site was not overly booked when we stayed so maybe a fully booked site would result in queues for the facilities.

Pitch sizes are quite good. Toilet block is lovely and always seemed to be clean even with the wet weather. The wardens were very friendly and always on hand if anything was needed.
We took the walk to The Dolphin public house on the Longbeach Site. A nice pub, even if the prices are on the inflated side.
However when we came to walk back to our van the road was pitch black and I mean pitch black which is not ideal with two small children.
We therefore did not use it again, the cost and no lighting kept us to our beer and wine!
All in all we were very happy with the site and will definitely use again, it is in a good location for all parts of Norfolk.
A big shame the site closes so early in the year as we would have been back for Oct half term.

This was are 1st time at long beach, We have booked to go back next year, the camp site was clean, flat ground, lost of space, The site is very welcoming with great staff, we loved our visits from Gorden he was very helpful and so happy it was contagious.
The toilet and shower block were very good, clean (like all though only as clean as last person to use)there was a mop and bucket so you could clean after yourself. The showers not powerful but hot and did the job, elect sockets by mirror to do your hair. The pot wash was also great loads of hot water.
For a donation to the RLNI you have use of fridge / freezer + iron and ironing boad in is own room. There is a clean laundrette on site, £2. 50 wash + dryers 20p. They have some coal BBQ's you can use as long as there's one there free.
Our boys and others played football where the cars pull in to book in, We know its not ideal but kids all loved it and hope they may think to allow kids to have games on there ?
Dolphin club was good reasonable priced beer, we didn't eat there, they have a stander bar type menu, there is entertainment +football on big screen.
The village has a lovely butchers and bakers, there is also a free cash machine at the post office, the beach Is very short walk as the sea side high street with arcades, fair rides etc.
We would recommend this site is peaceful but my tip is always use ear plug whilst camping any way.

We recently stayed at the Hemsby Tenting and Touring part of the Long Beach Estate - we were on the 'barn field' which was primarily tents with a few touring caravans.
The portaloo on this field left a lot to be desired, although the wardens cleaned them daily, they weren't brilliantly clean, doors and toilet seats were broken and someone kept pinching the handwash left.
The toilets and showers on the other field were much better - around 12 toilets and 5 showers, we never queued to use the showers, although I did notice a couple of times at peak times some were waiting to use them. No key is now required to use this facility you are given a code, but we never once had to use it as the doors were always left open which the wardens were happy with.
As per a previous review the showers are too close to the wall, and the spray fixed and not particularly high pressure you have to stand really close to the wall to get washed, they were however hot and free.
We didn't use the shop or bar facility although did use the launderette, with a reasonable charge of £2. 50 per wash - no sink here though which I would have liked. The site itself is close to Hemsby town (10 Minute walk) and also to the beach which was good. Also good value - there were 4 of us (2 adults 16 year old and 12 year old) with ehu and was charged £17. 50 per night
We had to vacate our pitch due to a rally happening some of the rally members came before the weekend and did not obey the 11pm curfew would have appreciated a warden coming round, but didn't notice one, although usually before midnight it was quiet.

This is effectively two sites about 400yds apart. “Hemsby Touring & Tent” site and “Long Beach Caravan Park”, which primarily hosts static caravans, and is where the children's playground, bar, shop and laundry are all located.
The touring site, where we were, is almost half a mile from the beach which is accessed down from the road and then over a fairly large and steep sand dune. This forms a natural valley between the road and sand dune which is popular with dog walkers but unfortunately, we found, also includes some who bother don’t clear to up their dogs mess.
Touring is made up of two fields, mainly level but a bit stoney in places, with a toilet block at the end of the “main” field. The block was excellent. Plenty of showers, toilets, sinks and all kept very clean at all times. Showers lacked a bit of pressure, but the water was always hot. It also housed a good dishwashing area (4 sinks), and an ironing room with fridge/freezer.
The second field still hosts a portacabin loo unit with cold water only. Still, they’re kept clean and are ok for a “quick visit”. It’s a fair trek from the top of the second field to the main toilet block so people do drive over.
Unfortunately the site warden put a large group of teenagers just a couple of pitches away which made our visit a bit unpleasant. Their drunken behaviour and noise wasn’t dealt with at all. We were told we should’ve complained at the time but we felt it was difficult to do so as the site clearly details an 11pm no noise policy. Lessons learnt, but maybe an occasional patrol by the wardens would’ve picked this group up.
Having said that, the staff were pleasant and helpful on our arrival and also apologised for the disturbance when we left.

I am writing this at 2am on my last night we are awake because of the amount of bug or ear wicks that have now decided to infest the caravan I have never been to a site quite like it.
We seem to be in like an over flow field with portable toilets which stink the main blocks are nice but a fair walk the children's play area is on main site which is a walk away the staff a friendly.
The bar is nice and food good shop, a little over priced. Don't be fooled to think you will be over looking sea because you're not and to get to beach it's a 15 min walk into hemsby or you have to be fit to to get over sand dunes.
Overall would come back to the area but not site unless near club, to hope for less bugs

This was our second visit to this site and we were as happy here as our first. The site is situated down a long lane with a feeling of remoteness.
Staff in the office are very helpful and happy to answer any questions and off tourist advice. Upon checking in you're given a waste/rubbish sack and a key to the ablutions buildings. There is a £2 refundable deposit for the key.
Static caravans occupy most of the site with small areas of level ground available for tents. Two are fairly close to the entrance and offer space for approximately 30 tents in total.
There are also additional single/private pitches situated between bungalows/chalets off a quiet gravel access road which runs along one side of the campsite.
On this visit we chose one of these private pitches. They are of ample proportions with plenty of room for a large tent and car. Although this was our choice, we did feel as though we were camping in someone's back garden as you have walls or fences of the properties either side of you. Upon reflection we'd rather be in one of the main camping areas next time.
The shower/toilet blocks were adequate and always kept very clean and supplied with toilet paper and soaps. The piped music in these areas makes it very relaxing, an helps mask some of those embarrassing bodily function noises!
The showers were always nice and hot, and electric sockets and shaver points were provided by the mirrors. We spent a few evenings in the on site 'Dolphin Bar' both eating and drinking. It offered traditional pub food (good sized portions) at acceptable prices. Once again the staff were all very helpful and friendly. They were also quite happy for us to charge up our camera and mobile phones whilst we were in there.
The site also has two access paths to the beautiful unspoilt beach. The paths are partially stepped and partially sand leading you to the beach through gaps in the sand dunes.
Generally this is a very peaceful place and very well managed. We would certainly return again.
