We met up with other friends at this site and were easily accommodated to all pitch out tents together - 4 various sized tents and 4 cars in all. And despite taking up rather a lot of ground space - we were still a decent way away from the other campers.

Ground was terrible and we all went thru far too many tent pegs - which we think the other campers must have too as the shop had only 8 left when we went to get emergency supplies!

Pub on site was ok - average food which did us on our first day of arrival.

Beach in walking distance - wont say easy as there were two sand dunes to contend with, so anyone with bad back, or disablilites stood no chance.

In good location for all the attractions nearby.

Only downside we found with the site was that the shower block (only 1 for both fields) was closed from 10-10.45 each morning for cleaning.

As it was a busy week - it was a struggle to get get most of our party up and showered before 10 as everyone else was in there - so after waiting for the cleaners, it cut a big chunk out of our day.

We have just returned from a lovely few days on the camping field here. We didn't book a particular pitch or hookup so were directed to the main tent area in the field with the shower block. There was another larger field but only had a porta cabin type toilet block.

The pitches were marked out and they were a good size. We pitched near to the toilet block which was a bit of a mistake as the block was lit up like the Blackpool illuminations during the hours of darkness - all night. We managed to rig up a makeshift blackout sheet and managed to sleep well.

The toilets were cleaned regularly and fully stocked with toilet paper however there was no soap which meant taking your own and with 2 boys rushing to the toilet at a minutes notice this was impractical.

The showers were large with good hanging facilities for your clothes and each one had a step stool to keep things off the ground. There were never any huge queues and they were warm if not HOT most of the time!

The walk to the beach along the side of a field then over some dunes was fun if not a bit tiring and wouldn't be possible with a buggy! However very well worth it as it was a stunning beach and very quiet.

A short walk takes you to an area of arcades, fast food and trinket shops and a small fun fair for the kids and a short walk the other way takes you to a reasonable Spar shop.

We will definitely go again but may try to book a pitch away from the toilet block!

We arrived late in the evening but the wardens had waited for us and showed us to our pitch, which was ample in size for our 5 man tent.

Toilet/shower block very good; clean, plenty of hot water and no queues.

Site is well-located; close to beach and only a few minutes walk from Hemsby. Major supermarket a few miles away.

The staff on site were fantastic. Friendly and helpful; best we've come across.

The only downside was night-time noise. I think we must have been unlucky judging from the other reviews, but on the first night we were disturbed by a group of young campers who were just getting started at 1am. This was dealt with the day after by the wardens and they were asked to leave the site as other complaints had been made.

Sadly there was more noise on the 3rd night.

Would go back again but would be careful about choosing a pitch. Hint; near the warden's van. (They do sort out the noise if they hear it)

Overall - camp excellent; let down by a few thoughtless campers.

We stayed on the Tent & Tourer site over one night Sat/Sun and were accommodated despite short notice and a very busy weekend (first of school breakup). The pitches are generous and the site is very family friendly.

The toilets are very modern and clean with very good disabled facilities. The staff were very welcoming. The beach was in easy walking distance, with a shop and pub nearby.

The only downside was that under the couple of inches of grass and topsoil must be a gravel pit. Everyone I spoke to went through numerous tent pegs. One guy was kind enough to lend me a hammer - which was needed to get pegs into the ground.

Some of the families would have benefited from a bit of camping etiquette, with people walking through pitches and one child even riding their bike over the middle of my groundsheet as I pitched but the site can't be blamed for that. That said, it was a pleasant stay and the kids enjoyed themselves.

What a great place! stayed here after a visit to alton towers,on the way home, we were looking for somewhere last minute couldn't find anywhere so close to a beach around north Norfolk, looked on ukcampsite and found this, very helpful and friendly over the phone even better when we got to the site, great staff, even moved some cars and got us sited right outside the facilities, no problems. Well kept site with a very good clubhouse, karaoke on sat night or whenever the owner wants to sing, nice friendly atmosphere at all times and well run, seemed child friendly also, ( we didn't have ours with us as they've now got their own! ) closed at a reasonable hour, 12 midnight, no unruly mobs to disturb a very pleasant stay.

Just far enough outside hemsbys busy main resort area to enable a peaceful time, only a 10 min walk away,

Beautiful duned valley and soft sandy beaches. For walking etc, seemed dog friendly, but not to my personal liking, I think they should be forced to be on leads and wear nappies at all times.

Excellent value for money, proper beach side holiday site with outstanding views and walks.

Rang the campsite at 3pm on Friday due to the lovely hot weather and arrived there 2 hours later. Campsite staff were extremely friendly, gave us a leaflet about the campsite, a magazine about the broads and things to do and a black bin bag for our rubbish, they then showed us to our pitch.

Toilets and showers were lovely! Lots of hot water, plenty of toilet paper, lots of toilets, sinks and showers, electric points for hairdryers, baby changing facilities and baby chairs to strap your child in whilst you wash etc, very clean too - well impressed.

Only a short walk into Hemsby and onto the beach, its a beautiful sandy beach and we were planning to spend time on it to escape the heat - unfortunately swarms and swarms of tiny black beetles put paid to that idea and we were unable to enjoy the beach which resulted in us going home after one night.

There is a club and shop a short walk up the road although we did not use it.

I really hope that the swarm of bugs disappear soon because they certainly ruined what should have been a lovely weekend and we would like to return to this campsite.

Just come back from a 5 night stay at Long Beach and I must say it comes thoroughly recommended. The wife and I found everything to be spot on. The gentleman at reception was very polite and helpful and even drove in front of us to show us to our pitch. Toilets and shower blocks were always clean. The showers were free which is a rare find these days and they're plenty hot enough too. Our pitch was huge and even better we had it all to ourselves. Lots of mobile homes on the site and everyone was polite and respectful. In other words no excessive noise into the wee hours. The weather was very kind to us whilst we were there which was a bonus. If you fancy a trip into Gt Yarmouth it's only a few miles up the road, perfect. The same goes for if you want a ride on a boat on the broads then it's only a few miles to Wroxham. Everything is within easy reach of Hemsby. We would definitely go back to Long Beach.

This site is fantastic all staff were really friendly and the site is really clean including all toilets and showers. We were pitched so we had a sea view the sand dune was easy to clime and my 5yr old loved rolling down with our beagle following.

The site shop was really cheap and pub / club on site also. The walk to hemsby was about 5 to 10 mins. The sand on the beach was golden and there was a nice cafe overlooking the sea. Will be going back again had a really fab time

We have a large 8 man tent and arranged a large footprint pitch, then brought the date forward which the very pleasant office staff managed to sort out.

Easy to find with map off internet and we were guided to our pitch which was great with electric hook up, loads of room and flat. We used the club most of the time we were there (10 days) nice food beer and staff.

Toilet block was clean with hot water as was shower block. Waste disposal on the end of the block. The beach was about 5 mins walk from site with a nice green valley in between leading to a nature reserve, ideal for walks out of the wind.

The shop is small but caters for those things you have forgotten and sells papers, food, milk, etc. The next village along the beach has amusements, pubs, fish and chips etc and there are a couple of pubs in Hemsby. The local health centre was very helpful and generally its a nice area, and of course Great Yarmouth is close.

We had two pitches for our two 7m tents as we went with my sister and her family. We had loads of room. We arrived early and because our pitches were empty we were allowed to pitch early. The wardens were very friendly.

The tent and touring part is a short walk away from the main site which has the bar and shop facilities, another short walk on from that is all the amusements of Hemsby!

The toilets and showers were really clean and we never had to wait to use the showers, the only downside was that there was no soap which wasn’t really a problem, you just took your own with you!

Hemsby has a lot of arcades, seaside shops and places to eat and Great Yarmouth is only about a 20 minute drive away.

Everyone in our group had a great time and we will definitely be returning.
