I went with a large group and we were well catered for, the staff were fantastic thank you. The cafe does an amazing breakfast I highly recommend you try them. The toilet blocks were very well thought out and always immaculate. We never had to wait to use the facilities as there were adequate to go go around.
The trip to the beach is only 5 minutes but 30 minute hike back up the hill. The beach is incredible golden sands.
The camping field is on a bit of a slope but we coped.
I would recommend this site to families and groups alike. It's a credit to the staff. I will be going back to do the things that I missed on the first trip.

Wow worth the money just for the views!
Pitches not the flattest we have stayed on, but the view was fantastic. Toilets were clean and warm wash up area was ample. Small shop that had all you needed and the cafe was great for a brekfast and a cupa.
Good location for exploring the Gower. Plenty of wildlife and a nice little pound with ducks. We will be returning again this year without doubt.

Just had a great weekend at Nicholaston farm and wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Camping field was on a bit of a slope, but nothing that you can't cope with. Toilets and showers were immaculate all the time we were there. Didn't have to queue but that was probably because it wasn't very busy.
The cafe was great, good service and fantastic smoothies. It also sold the essentials like bread, milk etc. No shops within walking distance so stock up before you turn up.
I thought that the public fridges were a good idea. Plenty big enough for storing milk, butter, bacon, sausages etc.
Lovely beaches are a 5-10 minute walk, but be warned, it's a bit of a trek back being as its up a steep path.
The only drawback I could think of is the junction back to the road. It's on a slope and if you are towing a caravan could be a bit daunting getting out as you can't see traffic coming very well.

We stayed here for 3 nights over the Easter holidays. The first day we were there it poured with rain and the field became very muddy. The field is on a slope and so we pitched at the top by the hedge. There is a road that runs past the top field which can be a bit noisy in the evening.
The facilities were immaculate the whole time we were there, which was amazing considering the mud! There are plenty of showers and toilets and we never had to queue. There is also a cafe / shop on site which serves lovely hot breakfasts and drinks. They also sell the basics you would need eg bread, rolls, milk, etc.
The view to the sea was fantastic and there was a path down to the beach. This was quite steep in places but was well worth it! The beach is amazing - there are sand dunes and rock pools and when we were there, only a few people on the beach!
We plan to return in October to explore some of the other beaches in the area and will be staying here again. The owners and staff on the site are all very friendly and can recommend places to visit.

Nice surrounding area, but elements of the campsite let it down.
PROs: Beautiful area, close to the beach, contained fires allowed, facilities were excellent, fridges available for use, farm-type shop on site with good range of products
CONs: The top field is adjacent to the main road, and is also on a significant slope which meant we spent every night sliding down the tent, traffic noise was considerable and disturbing - ranging from boy-racers with stereos pumping to early morning large farm vehicles and lorries passing at speed.
Nice, but ruined by pitch location. May have enjoyed more if we'd been allocated the lower fields, away from the road and on the flat.

Great location for exploring the Gower coastline. Nearest beach only a 10 minute walk and Three Cliffs Bay a 30 minute walk across the coastal path. Good, clean facilities. The field which we camped on with EHU was sloping but did give good views of the sea.

I really liked this campsite, the facilities were clean and you had the use of fridges and freezers. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and honest.
Unfortunately I picked the wrong time of year to visit and we had a leaky trailer tent hence the stay was aborted early. The site was on a slope so I could adjust the trailer tent to level it out however the awning was downhill and a bit slippy. The views for the beach were great though.
I paid £20 per night for a trailer tent, awning and electric, and the dogs went free. I thought that was reasonable.
All in all I enjoyed the stay but I need to waterproof the tent. I recommend this site as the staff were great especially Anna.

A lovely site I would be keen to return to
We were on the camping field, which although sloping had a lovely view over the house onto the bay. Being a quiet time of year we had the pick of the field and chose to be at the top of the field, up by the hedge to get the best view and less sloping. However, it did mean we were close to the road and slightly further from the facilities.
The facilities were excellent. Our closest toilets were by the entrance, there were a couple of toilets/ wet rooms with showers (20p) and another couple of toilets with sinks. There were another couple of sinks and hairdryer. Always spotlessly clean, with loo roll and never had to wait. Only at the very end of our stay did I discover even more showers behind the shop! I think they only been unlocked as it started to get busier for the weekend. Also behind the shop there was washing up room with freezers for free ice block freezing. Free bin bags and local information leaflets were available to pick up in here too. Another washing up sink was in a small laundry room on the end of the toilet block.
The farm shop on site sold essentials, but it was predominantly a farm shop and cafe for visitors, rather than a campers shop. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Due to there being no footpath along the road outside the campsite walking anywhere wasn't really an option, apart from via the beach / off-road footpaths. There was a petrol station a couple of miles away which sold gas, but apart from that we weren't in need of anything else!
However, one of the star things about this site was its proximity to what I think it the one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. It's a few minute walk downhill to the dunes. One evening we went for a lovely walk, turning right at the bottom of the hill, though the woods and dunes and back along the beach. In about an hour or more we saw very few people, just a couple of people walking dogs and jogging. It was a perfect evening and although I wouldn't want to share the tranquillity with too many people, I was blown away by the beauty of it. I really hope the proposed ban on camping doesn't prevent us from returning in the next couple of years.

Brilliant site - the best we've stayed at. Toilets and showers plentiful and kept very clean. Strange to have different lengths of shower depending on which block used - soon got to know caravan field has longest showers for your 20p!
Only problem was the weather - rain, which was persistent, ran down the hill and under our tents.
Would love to come back to this site in good weather and make best of it's situation - the beach was beautiful and only a short walk away. Could happily while away a week here in sunny conditions, without driving anywhere!
Tip for wet conditions: we found the LC waterpark at Swansea was great fun for us and the kids, and you get half your carpark ticket refunded at reception!

My wife, son and myself visited this campsite for a short break in the middle of August. The camping field we were in slopes from the road end down which meant we were struggling to find the best position to pitch so we could get a good nights sleep. The washing facilities were adequate and kept clean even though the site was very busy. There is a good on site shop with cafe and stocks the basic goods (milk, bread etc). There is a safeway in Killay (10 mins drive)which is useful. The proximity to the beach was great we didn't find it a struggle to get there but we did find it hard going on the way back as it's down hill to get there and up a steep track back, don't forget anything if you are planning to spend the day on the beach.
The owners wanted everyone who visits to be aware that the Welsh Assembly want to ban camping in tents on Farm sites next year on the Gower so if you are planning to stay there this year please complete the sites petition. We will definitely visit again next year if they are still open.
