What an amazing campsite! The site was recommended to me by a colleague. I'm glad they did. It is one of the best sites we have stayed at. I thoroughly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

Easy to find but in a nice quiet location overlooking the sea. Small amount of road noise but silent by 9pm. Friendly staff on arrival. Chose exactly where we wanted to pitch. Pitches are fairly level. Some electric hook-up pitches have been levelled out. Facilities were excellent. Extremely clean toilet / shower block with no charge for the hot water. There were loads of cubicles too so we never queued. 2 huge chest freezers, 4 massive fridges and the charging of devices is all free of charge.

Direct access to the beach from the site (only 10 mins walk). All the beaches in the area are absolutely fantastic. There's also some great pubs nearby. This site is simply excellent if you have a dog that loves running around on the sand / in the sea.

We were lucky with the weather too so made for one of the best week's camping we've had!

We have just returned from a week at Nicholaston Farm and can recommend this site for those who like a quiet relaxed atmosphere. There was a good mixture of touring vans, tents and motorhomes of all sizes and age on the site, a refreshing change from the 'if it doesn't cost the same as a house it's no good' attitude of the Caravan Club sites we sometimes use. After a short walk through some sand dunes it has direct access to a completely unspoilt beach. Top class washing and showering facilities were always clean and more to the point always open. The shop and cafe at reception sells a few basics and there is a mini market just 10 minutes down the road. We don't have small children/teenagers any more but would say that its good for traditional bucket and spade holidays as against big commercial funfair type sites, but that's just our opinion.

Choose this site after searching for a campsite on the Gower, then checked reviews. The reviews are all great, and here we are six glorious nights, feel so lucky to be able to visit so many wonderful places around Great Britain.

The site is very well maintained. Extremely friendly staff who are never intrusive but always on hand to offer their knowledge of the area. Their cafe and shop are a delightful addition. Lovely fresh bread and cakes. Facilities are immaculately kept, lovely hot showers in large cubicles with sink and toilet. The situation of this campsite is rarely matched, direct access to the beach, direct access to the coastal path, and walks along the Gower way starting across the road.

The area is amazingly beautiful, the beaches, and countryside are a walkers delight, dog owners, photographers and those enjoying water sports cannot fail to fall in love with the area.

If your considering visiting the Gower I'd look no further for a campsite

We love this site. This was our second visit and we will definitely be visiting again next year.

Excellent location, over the dunes and you're on the vast beautiful beach.

We are experienced campers and have stayed in a lot of sites. The facilities are the best I have ever used, lots of toilets and showers and always kept clean. The people running this site have high standards. I booked the last available pitch and was worried it would feel busy but I was pleasantly surprised. Still lots of space and never waited for the showers. The cafe serves excellent food at reasonable prices. I can't recommend this site enough. You will need to book ahead in peak season to avoid disappointment. Definitely a 10/10.

We chose this site because of it's location, facilities (according to previous reviewers) and size (many Gower campsites on the coast seem to be huge!). The location is great, a couple of minutes from the Wales Coast Path, on a good bus route for us walkers and right on beautiful Oxwich Bay. The site has a lovely feel, laidback but friendly; clearly many visitors are there for the beaches and to surf. The facilities knock spots off any that we’ve seen on any campsite; loads of free showers, loved the underfloor heating on chilly mornings and seemed very family friendly by not being gender segregated. Freezer, fridge, dishwashing facilities were great and the shop/café was thriving although we didn’t actually buy anything. The only downside is people’s attitude to pitching – we arrived home one evening to find a group next door had pitched so close that their guy ropes overlapped with ours, on a few occasions we saw that people had squeezed into tiny spaces and hadn’t really shown any consideration for where people had already pitched (eg: where might those people be able to put their car!) – perhaps people need to be told about considerate/safe (fire regulations for a start!) pitching when they arrive; not the fault of the owners but people seem to have a festival attitude towards pitching recently! Aside from that, the site is hard to beat and we’ve already mentioned it to a few friends already, thanks for a lovely stay in a great location.

This was our first visit to the Gower and chose this campsite by chance. We were delighted with the site and will be making a return journey or two in the future. On arrival we were treated by friendly staff who told us which field we were to use and it was up to us to find our own pitch. Which was refreshing and a little unnerving, not used to having freedom.

Yes the field is on a hill which did make getting up from an airbed a new Olympic sport in our tent, but the views were amazing of the bay and beaches were phenomenal and well worth the exercise.

On-site the toilet block with new showers were superb, best we've seen. There is a small shop for essentials and a fab cafe serving campers breakfasts, ice cream, fruit smoothes and afternoon tea. Only thing I would change is for the cafe to be open a little later in the evening. The chef and all serving staff were so pleasant and appeared genuinely interested in you and if you were happy.

Nearby there are plenty of activities to keep all ages occupied. Beach sports at nearby oxwich, pitch and putt in the mumbles, pony trekking the list goes on.

Highly recommend the camp site and the Gower.

Fantastic site on the gower peninsula. Superb toilet and shower blocks, short walk over sand dunes to a beach which has to be seen to be believed, certainly had the WOW factor for us. Coastal walk accessible from the caravan field to take in breathtaking scenery including three cliffs bay. Great cafe on site serving freshly cooked meals if you don't want to cook yourself. Pick your own facility on site for strawberries etc. Launderette and drying cabinets located on caravan field, washing up facilities and freezers provided for ice packs and food storage, great help. Small shop on site for the essentials. The mumbles and swansea close by for shopping. Short drive to rhosili bay, well worth the visit. The only criticism I have is the distance to the toilet blocks from the top of the camping field, especially during the night. We only had a 2 man tent so didn't have our own facilities. Limited electric hook ups in camping fields so advisable to request one when booking. Overall a highly recommended site, friendly and helpful staff. Well worth the visit.

We chose this site for its location and cost (there are 7 of us and prices mount up quickly) - we like cheap and cheerful and were very pleasantly surprised! The facilities were immaculate - new shower block with more than enough shower stalls and toilets (I forget just how many) with additional basins. Also a huge freezer/fridge area with chest freezers and standing fridge/freezers for guests to use (a strictly no-alcohol rule due to children though) which was invaluable in the short summer heat we had. Onsite farm shop too, with necessities and luxuries like ice-cream. And an additional, smaller toilet block with three or four stalls in it. There were 3 fields, one solely for caravans and then two, sloping fields. Hard to find a flat pitch, but plenty of space. It did get busy over the weekend though and with no pitch boundaries, campers could get a little close (and noisy) for comfort. Direct access to the beach (a bit of a trek) through the woods and over the dunes. Not one you would want to do carrying much more than a towel and a picnic bag. Well located for visiting the rest of Gower and for longer trips to Swansea, Mumbles and Cardiff. We'll go again.

We are a family of 6 and have been camping all over the UK (mainly Cornwall, Devon and Wales) for the past 15 years. We have stayed in the Gower on a number of occasions having a mixed experience at various campsites. However, this campsite has the BEST facilities we have ever seen! The toilet/shower block have recently been renovated and they are amazing; underfloor heating, touch sensitive showers, communal facilities (which is great for families and the children thought they were 'really cool'!) The washing up area has also been recently renovated and has 2 large communal freezers and 4 industrial style communal fridges, making storing food so much easier. We enjoyed views of the sea from our tent; also many coastal walks and regularly walked to the beach, all from the campsite. Our only slightly negative comment is that some of the pitches / camping field is on a hill, but we are wiling to have a slight hill for the many positives of the site and will definitely be visiting again!

This was our first time to the south of wales and are really impressed, Nicholaston Farm Caravan & Camping site was fantastic and a great place to start our welsh adventure. Access to the site is quite simple, once on site check in with reception and then its a free for all park where you want ( on a pitch of course ) but you get to choose where and which views you want. Beach access is easy enough and whilst on site if the weather is good enough, it was warm and sunny for us, have a gentle stroll on the beach. We went to oxwich, down to the beach then turn and keep the sea to your left hand side, nice cuppa and a gorgeous pannini ? and a stroll back.

Site itself is very well kept and has a small shop/cafe at reception. Toilets are very well kept and very clean.

Only two bad point for us, access back to site from the beach is up hill and could be a struggle for very little ones, 2nd leaving the site is a little awkward up a steep hill give way to on coming traffic ( how ever point 2 staff members are willing AND DID travel out first and stop traffic for us) 4x4 will have no problem or big tow car, ours isn't very big or powerful. We really loved it here and are over the moon that we found this site.
