Just had our second visit to this lovely site. It's location and stunning views are unbelievable. Extra showers and toilets have been added since last year and you no longer need 20p for a shower. They have been decorated to a very high standard and are a great improvement.
The site now has wifi although somewhat erratic to get on line it's enough to receive and send messages but not to download films etc.
There is a small downside to the site which has become apparent. Due to pitches not being allocated and its on a first come first to get basis some campers who have been using the site for years are using their cars to reserve pitches for friends. This leaves others little or no choice where to pitch at busy times.
We have even had someone ask if they can park their car by our van so that they can have our pitch as soon as we leave. This should be controlled by the staff to ensure fairness to all.

This was a lovely campsite. In short, I'd recommend it highly.
Fantastic views of the sea from the pitches, and the local area has the most beautiful, unspoilt and quiet beaches.
The campsite had very nice, clean facilities. A warm toilet block can make such a big difference if the weather is a bit iffy. Free freezers and no charge for showers were an added perk. They also had a drying room for wetsuits which is very useful if you are struggling to dry them.
For the area I think the prices were a bit on the high side, but for what you got it was well worth the money. Reminded me of campsites I have visited in Italy - which are of a much higher standard than those in the UK.

Stayed for a weekend and I was very impressed. Even though the site was very full, there was plenty of space for everyone and the toilets and showers were never full.
The staff were very friendly and polite, the toilets and showers were impeccably clean.
Perfect for children, dogs, adults, everyone.
There was also a lovely walk out of the back of the campsite down to the beach (note the word down, it UP on the was back!), but a lovely walk for us and my puppy who was shattered by the end.
I will be staying here again.
Only down side is that food shops are some distance away although there is a small shop with the basics in site.

Fantastic site! Facilities are amazing - new shower block, immaculately clean. Views are lovely and it is close to the beach but a bit of a hike down! You can choose your pitch which is great but as we wanted electric hook up, we were limited as they are mainly in the middle, on the slopey part, which was a bit difficult for sleeping as we kept sliding down the bed. The cafe is nice - food good. Staff very friendly and helpful. We went to. Mumbles, which was nice. Three Cliffs Bay is absolutely beautiful but again, a very steep climb down but well worth it. Rhossili is amazing. We went to the King Arthur pub a few times, once for a meal which was very good. Would highly recommend this site and would definitely return.

Our first trip to the area and we literally picked this site out of a hat, so glad we did. We visited with another family who are new to trailer tenting and were using this trip as a practice for our summer trip to France. The site is absolutely spotless and in a stunning location with fantastic views. Unfortunately the weather during our stay wasn't favourable for the usual beach shenanigans but we did wander down for a look, I'd say it's one of my favourite UK beaches, unspoilt and uncommercialised.
Apart from a makeshift tree swing on the way down to the beach there's no kids play area. This didn't bother the 5 in our group who happily entertained themselves throughout our stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful and seem to genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. The very well appointed facilities blocks on site add a touch of luxury. Some of the fields have quite a slope to them which I could see being an issue for some in a standard tent but our pitches, although not completely level, were fine. Overall we all really like the site and will be paying another visit.

Outstanding location, short walk to fantastic Oxwich Bay beach although a bit steep coming back. Quite sloped for camping and lots of stones in the ground where we pitched. Owners obviously know what appeals when investing in upgrades but not the most helpful bunch we've ever encountered which is a bit weird. The standout feature other than the location are the shower blocks and cleaning facilities. The craftsmanship and materials wouldn't be out of place in a 4* hotel. There are no specific facilities for kids which in some ways is a blessing as it encourages them to enjoy the environment and make their own games up. There is a very popular rope swing on the way down to the beach. The location isn't particularly isolated but Swansea is the nearest full supermarket. There is a well stocked Texaco mini-market a couple of miles up the road though.

Just spent 3days at Nicholaston Farm, and we loved it. Great toilet and shower block, spotlessly clean and free!
Staff we're very friendly and helpful, I definitely get the impression they are proud of their campsite and quality of your stay is important to them, it's not all about the money!
Loved walking the coastal path views breathtaking.

Beautiful site with wonderful views over the sea, and the hills behind. A kissing gate at the bottom of the site is directly on the Wales Coast path with nice walks in both directions. Or you can walk straight down a steep dune to the beach. Everything was kept in a very clean condition. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Showers (free) were hot and there were enough of them, a new block has been added/refurbished. Dishwashing area indoors, tumble driers and washing machines were all good. There is a shop with a limited supply of essentials, and a nice looking breakfast cafe which we didn't use. Great place !

What a lovely kept site. Showers are immaculate as are the camping fields. Cafe and shop on site. Staff are all very helpful and friendly nothing too much trouble for them. The beaches are absolutely fantastic walk down to beach from site easy but more hard going coming back but well worth it. Coastal walks are lovely and views spectacular. Beaches are dog friendly some restrictions on a few from May to September but not a problem. Some lovely pubs to eat out and quite reasonable prices and some serve all day. Shops are basic unless you go into Swansea so bring some supplies with you.
Will definitely come back to this site but not in school holiday as I think it would be too busy for us oldies.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Nicholaston.
We camped in a tent field which had electric hook ups along at least one side. Our field was on the right (round a tight corner) before you get to reception.
The welcome was friendly and informative.
Our field was on a gentle slope and we found it tricky to find a level pitch. We did find we slid down the bed during the night, just enough to be slightly irritating but it wouldn't put us off visiting again. The grass was well cared for and the site was immaculate.
We appreciate we went at the height of the season. We often had to queue for showers (although not for long) and our ice blocks didn't freeze terribly quickly in the freezers. It was refreshing to see large fridges where we could store our chilled foods in and you could store frozen food in the freezers too.
The facilities were kept clean and obviously monitored and cleaned on a regular basis. The site felt as if somebody bothered if you know what I mean!
The chemical loo disposal was very clean with the ability to rinse out your portable loo too.
The shop had a good selection of fruit and veg. We would have welcomed longer opening hours, especially during peak season. The non perishables were quite limited. They also had a cafe with a good selection of breakfast and lunch dishes which were reasonably priced.
The highlight of Nicholaston has to be the ice cream! They were oh so generous with the portions and the ice cream was worth the walk back from the beach. It was worth the walk from the tent. It was worth a drive from our house (300 miles +). It was worth the drive over the Severn bridge (aargh!). My six year old son quickly worked out that the ladies gave bigger portions! A good and varied selection too. I can recommend the chocolate and the salted caramel. My son says the strawberry was fantastic.
We will visit again. We would be happy to have a tent pitch without electric hook up due to the fridges and freezers, although the joy of straightening crazy hair in private is bliss!
There was no children's play ground, but to me, the joy of camping is to make your own entertainment and we had room for our swingball and the frisbee.
We would definitely visit again and would wholeheartedly recommend this site to other campers.
