Stayed here over the Easter break. This was our second touring experience and what a lovely site it is. We received a very pleasant welcome and were taken to our pitch, we stayed on the deluxe all weather pitch which was super. The toilet and shower blocks were immaculately clean. The park is great for the children and we felt safe letting them go on their own to play There is lots to do here - there is a games room with pool table etc, table tennis and indoor badminton court. There is a craft centre and garden centre but we just didn't have time to visit. We tried the Treetops bar and also had a meal at the Golf club which was okay but nothing special although the food was good value for money. We had a game of pitch and putt which the children really enjoyed. The swimming pool is lovely and there is patio area where you can get a coffee while watching your children. The only downside is the cost of the swimming (we have 3 children) if they want to go everyday it can become expensive. There is also a walk which takes you around the golf course which is clearly marked. All in all there is too much to mention but its a site definitely worth a visit. We shall be returning this year.

Fabulous site with lovely facilities. Very pleasant welcome and a guide to take us to our pitch. Toilet block was immaculate and very well equipped. Site shop had all we needed and it was good to have the craft shops, nursery etc so there was plenty to do without even leaving the site. Had a super walk around the perimeter with all the trees covered in new leaves. Golf course on site for those who play. Didn't try the restaurant but it looked very good.
Would certainly go again.

This is a lovely site, very clean and well laid out. The toilet blocks were always kept clean. The food in the golf club was nice but never got to try the restaurant as we have a young child, which is the only down side to this site. It is very unusual to find a site that caters for families but do not allow children in its restaurant in the evening. I understand that there is the golf club but it is not very big and it was always half full of members of the golf club. They also need to advertise opening times and food serving times as we could not find this anywhere. The local area has many nice pubs and restaurants to visit and Chester is not far for a day out to the many attractions there. The staff were very helpful, but did not get to try the pool as it was being refurbished but looked ok.

I cannot comment any further from previous comments made on this camp site, it was brilliant, staff where wonderful and constantly cleaning especially as there was mud everywhere with out brilliant weather! We went into Bangor-On-Dee and found a wonderful pub there it is called 'The Royal Oak' and has not long since re-opened after being completely re-furbished the food was fantastic, some of the best we have tried in a long time and to add to the lovely food, the owner and staff are very welcoming and polite. We enjoyed our Easter stay at the Plassey and cant wait to return there again (hopefully with less rain) oh and we will be going for a meal to The Royal Oak again, try it you wont be dissappointed.

Back again for the NEW YEAR BASH.
Helpful friendly staff and Spotless toilets/ facilities as usual.
The hot water feed to the disabled shower has had a pressure/flow increase. Good previously, even better now.
The party in the 'Treetops Bar' was more enjoyable and seemed better organised than it was last year. THANKS EVERYBODY SEE YOU SOON

This site is very nice, showers are very clean and hot and toilets nice. We were in the meadow field and if we did not have the caravan it was a bit of a hike to the toilets especially in the night. I think the swimming is a bit expensive, me and my husband went with our 3 children and at £1.50pp for an hours swim it can turn out to be very expensive. £7.50 per day swimming as my kids love to swim, in a week that works out at £52.50 on swimming. We were looking at inquiring about storing our caravan on this site next summer and at a price of £1500 for the year I would expect the swimming to be included. Apart from the swimming this is a lovely site
Owners comments: Next year we are bringing in a discount voucher scheme for the pool, and for under 2yr olds swimming will be FREE

This is a great site. The whole site is level and the pitches are allocated. The staff are very helpful and the shop was well stocked and very reasonable. The general toilet and washing facilities were superb, they were modern and kept extremley clean. The disabled facilities were easily accessible and spacious. The shower has a stool but the water pressure is badly effected (it stops) by the main showers being used and I resorted to using the shower late at night when the main facilities were being cleaned.
The site has lots of attractions (boutiques, beautician, golf course) and there is lots to do in the local area. Wrexham itself is only 5 minutes drive.
Apart from the niggles in the disabled toilet this site is excellent and we will definitely return if they just sort the water pressure!
Owners comments: The shower now has a pump fitted.......it will now blow you away with the water pressure!

Stayed at the Plassey in August and it was our 4th visit I think. The site is a good one and although a busy period we still managed to to get two pitches together for friends of ours. All pitches come with hook up so use it! Be careful when selecting a pitch as some of them are on top of the children's play area, I mean the hook-ups are at the fence, whilst the play area is good for kids of all ages I wouldn't want to be pitched next to it, lots of noisy kids! But each to their own. The site would benefit from a separate play field for children. The swimming pool was opened during our stay and I must say the kids enjoyed it and they have done a really good job of its refurbishment.
We found that the restaurant on site although very nice doesn't accept children under 10, that was a bit of a problem for us but it does look worth a visit. Not put off, a good quality and value meal can be enjoyed at the golf club where children are most welcome. Generally a good nice friendly site. Washing and toilet facilities are excellent. The site does offer recycling but at the pitches only of glass bottles, if you wish to recycle cans paper plastic etc you have to go quite a way to the rear of the craft centre, could do with sorting that out. Enjoyable place to visit.

We stayed here during the hottest weekend the UK has seen this year and it was a great place to be. The kids loved the site. The pitches are a good size and well defined, the loos and showers are spotless at all times of the day and night. The play room with pool and machines is clean and trouble free, the badminton and table tennis rooms were similarly clean and trouble free. The kids play area is well laid out with a good range of equipment for lots of ages, the play area is surrounded by a wooded area which the kids used to play "imaginative" games in, lots of Dr who's and Harry Potter games when we were there. The shop appeared to be well stocked with everything you might need- didn't use it personally nipped the 5 mins or so into Wrexham. There are some good walks around the surrounding farm land, and I am reliably informed by hubby that the fishing is good in the "golf side" pond. Didn't use any of the restaurants on site, but a couple of my neighbours told me there were restrictions on children under 10 so might be a problem if you have little ones. Our only problem was there is no restriction on the playground, so had groups of loud teenagers on the play equipment after dark on two nights. There is a camp silence rule after 11pm which is enforced but have mentioned that there should be a rule about kids on the play equipment once it's dark - if only for their own safety. A great site, which does cost a bit but is worth it.
