Our 2nd visit to this site. It's immaculate with lots of facilities on site, actually we only left once the whole week we were there! Good news is that the indoor swimming pool is included in the camping fees this year, as it got quite expensive on our previous visit.
The shower areas/ toilet facilities are kept really clean at all times, the park itself is a credit to the team. There were ground staff tending to shrubs and grass cutting the entire time and all so polite and helpful.
I purchased wi-fi from the office for the time we were visiting, it was also available on a daily basis too, in all fairness I was warned by the receptionist that it was very slow, which indeed it was!
Well done Plassey, great campsite.

Just had a fantastic week at this site, the staff were incredibly friendly especially Phil and Teresa, we arrived on Sunday and Teresa booked us in then Phil took us to our pitch, a deluxe pitch right on the edge of the golf course. The pitch was hard standing with a gravel area to pitch for the awning then a further space which was grassed, we had all services to the pitch which was excellent.
The shower block was close by very warm very clean and with loads of hot water, the restaurant was very good and reasonable
Nearby places like Wrexham, Chester, along with many other places, although the site had all facilities necessary so you didn't have to go off site. There was a small village nearby where the landlord of the pub would come and pick you up take you to his pub and then back later on, the pub served excellent food with very good selection of beers, great when you don't have to drive!
On site We enjoyed the heated swimming pool which we had to ourselves, and I played three rounds of golf on what I class as a steady not too hard course, a bit hilly though but very well designed, you could opt to play nine holes or the full eighteen, there is also a driving range and a pitch and putt course, again the staff in the clubhouse were very friendly.
We decided to stay for a few extra days making it up to a week in all, we would definitely recommend this site and will definitely be returning. Our special thanks to Phil and Teresa as they just couldn't do enough for you brilliant ambassadors for the park.

Just spent 3 nights at Plassey and overall it was a very good site, and one that we shall probably return to.
The showers were clean and hot with ample room for your things. The pool was good, nice and warm although it was a bit chilly when you got out!
There is an on site shop selling a few necessities. We didn't try the Treetops bar, but did eat in the Shippon restaurant. The food was very nice, there was also a singer/disco the night we went. The site is also well lit at night, not brightly, but enough to see your way round! We went for a walk around the on site nature trail, which was fun for the kids. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly.
We were in a hard standing pitch, which at this time if year is a must. The ground was very wet and soggy, but given the rainfall is to be expected.
The only negative I could find is there isn't a walkway/path to the water tap. You have to drag your water carrier over the grass. I'm sure in the summer months this wouldn't be an issue.

Stayed at this site on 2 recommendations from friends. We were not disappointed at all. From the long sweeping entrance driveway all the way to our pitch everything was spotless and inviting. Reception was quick, polite and easy. Next we were led to our pitch overlooking one of the golf fairways. Solid hard standing. Water and electric. The pitch was so easy to get onto but was still helped by the staff to line us up. The Shippon restaurant was superb. Llangollen some 8 miles away made a nice day out too. Night time was lovely and quiet too. The toilet block was always immaculate and had piped music 24 hrs a day. We shall be back.

Maybe it is just me but I was not as impressed to the level everyone else seems to be.
Firstly the staff were all lovely the toilet blocks were clean although no better than anything on a CC site, not a fan of the push button showers.
The serviced pitches are the place to be but as a 'Touring' caravanner I really don't like being on sites so heavily populated by seasonal pitches. When on a pitch in this area where 70-80% of maybe 50-100 vans are empty it all feels a bit soulless
I didn't rate the restaurant as any better than average, no cask ales when there is a brewery on site is disappointing. Ate twice there in a week and the specials did not change. Food was ok but just a little more effort and the place could be so much better.
Wasn't impressed with the cycle track, little more than cycling around the edge of the field which as it turned out due to the rainfall was pretty much impossible, we ended up walking back with kids after getting less than halfway down it.
The pool was nice but gets expensive if 4 of you want swim for your 1. 5 hour session on a regular basis but nice facility
Ground was so waterlogged which didn't help but putting water points in the middle of grassed areas does not help during such times, doesn't make sense to me.
Treetops bar was rarely open and the shops, well they were ok when open and that really just about sums up my feelings about the place. Just ok, not my cup of tea though

This was our first touring caravan site having recently bought our first caravan. The site was excellent and everyone was friendly. Thank you so much a great first outing.
We didn't really check out the facilities because we wanted to acclimatise our two dogs first but the nature trail was great and the camp was spotless. Everyone seemed to respect everyone and I will return, in fact I have tried to book for two more dates in October

We had not been camping for a number of years and when we decided to have a break we automatically thought of this site. We had four nights after the August Bank holiday weekend and, as we had remembered, it was really good. Facilities were excellent and the staff very friendly. Even when some other campers in groups were letting their children run riot at 10. 30 on the Saturday night, while the parents sat around fire pits drinking, the warden was soon on the spot to calm everything down very politely - fire pits and tents are never a good mix and children running into guy ropes in the dark damages other people's property.
It was wonderful to just sit and soak up the great countryside and fortunately very kind weather in such a well run facility. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely top notch! Toilets/showers spotlessly clean. We witnessed the bins being emptied several times a day. What was more impressive was the polite way in how the rules were enforced. As soon as it was dark, the kids playing in the park were reminded it wasn't safe and they all disappeared without fuss. There was so much to do on site, the play park, the walks, the swimming pool, our children were entertained for 5 days and we didn't need to leave the site at all. Who needs a beach!

Well, I got there, I was lost for words. It is such a brilliant site! I stayed for a weekend, and I could of easily stayed for longer. There is stone slab pitches for touring caravans and motorhomes (some pitches are gravel), a static caravan area and a tent field. Facilities are outstanding, very clean, always toilet roll, same for showers. It is a very big site, so there is toilet/shower blocks around the site. There is a very helpful reception, launderette, shop, restaurant, golf course, (quite a challenging one!)Golf cafe (with changing rooms and toilets and bar)very peaceful garden area, a nature trail, arcade, badminton court, table tennis, swimming pool, lots of lovely shops, a caravanning (etc. ) equipment/accessories store, fishing lake nearby, children's play area, bar, treehouse club, it is brilliant for the whole family. There is everything you could wish for on a campsite. Everyone is friendly as well. There is water taps, waste water drains, bins, and of course toilet disposal point. Fantastic place, couldn't of wished for better, definitely goig again. Oh, it is also very well signposted.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Plassey, we could easily have stayed longer. Totally agree with all other comments, Staff were so polite and all facilities were kept spotless. You don't really have to leave the site as there are small retail outlets to cater for all needs on Plassey grounds & a lovely circular walk about 2 miles around the grounds itself.
We visited Chester one day- about 15 mins drive to the park & ride and other days we visited near by National Trust buildings. Only gripe as previously said having to pay for the swimming pool?? Think this a 1st for us when paying top end price for a site anyway. BUT all in all well worth a few return visits.
