Lovely site with barriers that are locked at night. Lovely all weather pitches. There is a restaraunt, beauty salon, fresh made icecream. There is also a small indoor swimming pool. Old hay barns have been converted into games rooms ie badmington etc. It is a little pricey but the facilities are next to none I actually think they won the loo of the year award. Well worth a visit we will definitely go back again next year for a few days.

Visited August and November 2006, First Class Site with wonderful amenities for both adults and children alike. Swing park play area and indoor heated swimming pool plus games room with computer games and pool tables for the kids and covered badminton court.
Well stocked shop and excellent cafe serving fresh home produce with magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Lots of unique shops to browse or buy plus restaurant which caters for adults and children over 8 years of age. Golf Club caters for adults and children offering pitch and putt, 18 hole golf course and driving range food is available throughout the day with a non smoking area. Treetops bar is open from 7.30 pm and again children are welcome either in their own area or within the bar itself, however there is any area exclusively for adults only. In November we attended the Bonfire Weekend Party and had an all weather deluxe pitch offering stunning views of the golf course and the welsh hills. Saturday evening the site put on a spectacular bonfire and firework display and also offered a "Hog Roast" if required. The toilets and shower blocks were immaculate and it is obvious to see why they are winning awards. The staff were both friendly and helpful in equal measures and nothing appeared to be too much trouble, to the extent that they helped us to pitch our van when we arrived. All in all excellent site which we cannot wait to return to next year.

Wow - what a site - our first caravan trip and they were so helpful - offered to pitch for us and brought us pallets to put in the awning so we were off the mud - will go back again. Kids loved the park and the dog loved all the walks! Thank you

An excellent site with spotless amenities. Very helpful in providing a pitch close to the toilet block due to wheelchair. But beware if you are a wheelchair user the toilet/shower room has to have a key and you need to hang a sign on the outside. Hence you have to unlock it, go in and retrieve the sign, open the door again, hang the sign up and then go in! Having said that the room is huge. Also note that the treetops bar is not accessible, but there is another not far away. The walk around the site is not suitable for wheelchairs, we did 75% of it but it was VERY hard work with steep inclines and styles. Would we return? Maybe but the access issues are a little off putting. But the views are stunning.

April 2003 This is probably our nearest good site - and it was very good!! We went in our motorhome and had a good hardstanding - it is good to see the tents are mixed up with the vans on the grass - yes there were hardy souls there in tents!

Utterly lovely site. Owners are really helpful. Great play area for the kids the kids play in the play area until 10pm the the warden does move them off which is really good he even goes searching for any hideouts in the bushes which made us laugh a lot seeing some kids trying to hideaway. Pitches are lovely grass well drained. There is a sort of little village on site with crafty shops a lodge pub with reasonably priced food and a nice restraunt also fresh made ice cream which is really lovely. There is a small swimming pool for a nominal charge the kids love it. The toilet blocks are immaculate and showers are nice and hot and you are not restricted to a few mins. We have been back to this site so many times and will continue to return.

What a great site. Really welcoming staff who showed us to a great pitch on the main field, they showed us specifically to this one as they noted we had my son with us and it'd mean he could play in the well furnished playground while we could still see him from the van. The pitch was a gravel one, dead level & nice and wide. The grass pitches one the main field looked in great shape. The main field was also big enough to give the kids ple3nty of space to play footy one (sponge balls only - sold in shop) There table tennis & badminton for free with your own bats etc. A small arcade for older children but all of the machine cost only 20p a go , no one armed bandits, only games machines & 2 pool tables which at 40p a game is great for them to play. The shops are small cottage industry type, arts & crafts quiet nice & reasonable. The site shop is well stocked with food & a few basic caravan spares as well. The pool is nice, small , but for a pound an hour it was nice & cool. All in all a brilliant site 10 out of 10 well definitely be going back and would recommend it to anyone.

We have spent 4 days at this great site in June. The whole site is clean and the bathrooms spotless. We stayed on Meadow field at the back of the site which is a lot less noisy than the main area which contains the playground. The only thing wrong was on the Sunday morning there was no hot water at all and the restaurant was to fancy for our children's taste.

This is a great little site. There is plenty to see and do on site which means if you don't want to you don't have to go far! There are craft shops, tea rooms and a restaurant all in what look like converted out buildings. There is also a little garden nursery. Other facilities include Tree Top Bar and food is served in the Golf Club, although can't comment on this as didn't eat there. The site is well placed for Wrexham, Chirk and Llangollen so there is plenty to see and visit. There is also a nice walk around a lake at nearby Ellesmere. Most importantly the toilets on site are very clean and warm. Marks out of 10 - 8. We will be back!

I was with the group as per previous comments from danlaur. As per his comments lovely site very welcoming. The golf club was very welcoming even for our family which contained two small children. Food excellent and cheap, no snooty golf club mentality here. On a slight negative pool closed until May but take your swimming trunks as there is Wrexham Leisure Centre with pool and fun tyre slides, and Plassey on Dee Fun Pool. Both open even on bank holiday. Marks out of ten 9 - will be back. Pitch slightly boggy but staff with tractor to help no worry.
