First time caravanners
Arrived lovely welcome from lady on reception
Man on tractor very professional towed van to our pitch
Grounds and all facilities spotless
Staff always with a smile and wished us good morning and said hello whenever we seen them
Everything you need in one place, shop, golf course, coffee and cake shop. Cakes looked lovely.
Farm shop down road for all your bbq goodies,
We have camped in tent all over and as this was our first time towing a tourer we wanted a professional site who we could ask for help if needed. This site was just that,
I have not one complaint about it, easy to get to, friendly staff and first class and most importantly clean facilities.
We had it all for our brief stay, would recommend to anybody. Top work the plassey

Lovely looking site. Attracts disrespectful chavs from big city's. Who break all rules of noise respect, ball games, scooters, and b*+ody dogs barking often not on leads. What you'ld expect from calibre of people from surrounding big towns who go there. And site do nothing about!
It's a shame because it has a lot going for it location wise and facilities. Site needs to take a firm hand with those who disrespect the rules. Society sadly reflected here.

This is a great site.
Stayed on a delux pitch, which was large and had all the usual facilities: each pitch separated by a small fence, water tap, waste water drain, tv link + sky link if you take your own sky box. Only niggle with the pitch is they use pea size gravel which I found kept gettin stuck in the tread of my shoes and taken inside the van to my better halves dismay lol.
This is a large site but very well run with very welcoming staff whom help in any way they can and patrol regularly to ensure nothing is amiss.
All the other posts mention the great points however just to bring a balance of fairness I will raise some issues, however don't let them put you off its just my observations:
This is quiet an expensive site as you have to pay for all the extras ie awning, pet, child, and then a higher rate for a teenager??, extra adult, second car etc. Plus to use the pool there is a charge per person which considering they advertise it as a facility you would think it would be included in the price, plus it has limited opening periods, ie pool not open out of peak season.
For the kids there is only one playground which is on the grass field by reception, so if your on the delux pitches you have to keep walking round to the other field splitting the family by sight unless you all go together.
The on site restaurant was good not great althogh its in an realy fine setting, food - fair value for the money, service could have been better considering they were not that busy, together with a fairly limited menu which could be vastly improved or updated.
All the advertisement literature mentioned the on site brewery, which as a real ale drinker thought I might participate in, however, the brewery was shut and neither the restaurant or the bar stocked any real ales at all, just the usual brands so was disappointed.
The tree tops bar is on top of the toilet block opposite reception, it only opened at 8, 00 pm during our visit and is quiet small for the size of the site so get there early if you want a seat
If you choose a grass pitch and are sited infront of the bar, I would think there could be some noise from the patrons leaving at night.
All the above taken in to account, I would still go back as its in a great setting and all the extras, ie small shops, tea room, and tea garden and ice creams for the kids in the sun made it a great stay.

This is a site that has everything! We got a very friendly and warm welcome and were shown to our pitch and helped to reverse into place. Our pitch had electricity, water and waste water disposal as well as TV hook up. We overlooked the golf course and a lovely grassed area and was beautifully laid out.
The toilet blocks and showers are immaculate, clean and warm with private vanity cubicles as well as showers and the radio playing while you washed.
The site has two bars, a restaurant and a coffee shop as well as other retail craft type outlets. When we were there, there was a open weekend and so we enjoyed a hog roast at the golf club and a meander around a wedding fair.
There is plenty for children, with covered badminton and table tennis and an indoor sessional swimming pool.
We would have no hesitation to recommend the camp site itself and the absolute only let down was the staff in other areas of the craft centre, especially the coffee shop, were a little frosty and could have been more welcoming.

Just back from a three night stay at this site
It is an expensive site (£85 for 2 adults and one 12 year old in a tent, off peak) and the fact that the swimming pool has to paid for (£2. 20 per person for 1-1/2 hours) means it is only a site to visit for the 'better off' (it is a 5* site after all),
Aside from that we found the site staff to be very helpful and friendly including the man who empties the bins!
Grass pitches are nice and level with plenty of space to park car at side of tent. It has 2 bars (treetops and the golf club) both of which were very welcoming and both serving plassey real ale. Food in the golf club is very reasonably priced and good too.
The children's play area is out of the way but the site is very safe so our 12 year old went to play by herself (even though she was a little big for the park).
The art and craft shops attached to the site are varied and interesting with good prices (ice creams made on the farm are a must try!) and another must see on site is 'the carved tree' which is excellent!
A 10 min walk from the site is a farm shop where any BBQ supplies can be bought. The nearest supermarkets are a drive away but ask at reception and they have printed out directions to get to them,
All in all a very nice site although pricey but will return again for another short break in the future just because of the overall friendliness of the site.

Although last year we travelled from Scotland to Cornwall and stayed at some lovely sites our favourite site turned out to be only some 35 miles from home. So to start this years season last week we visited The Plassey, we have always been very impressed with the quality of this immaculately maintained site which is set in some 250 acres of wonderful countryside with it’s own adjoining craft complex and garden centre and this trip was no exception to our previous ones….
However for this year they have a new reception building (same staff we are pleased to say) which I understand will include a visitors centre very useful for obtaining information on local attractions and places to visit etc.
The other interest, specially to my husband was the fact that the Golf Course was under new management and the amount of improvements to the golf course that had been done since our last visit and their plans for the future development, to quote my husband ‘very soon this is going to be a very impressive golf club’
All in all we had a great week with plenty to do and see which was great value for money for such high standards. Thanks to their happy and friendly staff for making our stay great again.

We had read that this site had been voted Best in Wales. Have to say that I can understand why.
A great site. The reception staff were friendly and even helped to pull and position my caravan on to the pitch.
It was early in the season and we only had a short stay so we did not have time to try out many of the facilities.
The toilets wers very clean and lovely and warm. The showers were hot with plenty of water. Digital TV cabled to our pitch was a nice touch.
Small niggle in that wifi connectivity was only allowed to one device and had to log on each time it was switched on / off. Might be I was doing something wrong but was not around long enough to worry about it.
Lots to do locally. Loved it.

We arrived at 8. 59 pm - 1 minute to last check-in! The very kind lady on reception was happy to stay until 9. 15 if we did not get to site on time. A man personally showed us to our deluxe pitch, and went through the park's facilities with us. They were both very kind even at that time of night!
The deluxe pitch had your standard hook up, grey waste water drain, drinking water - and even satelitte connection ( so had taken our sky box with us for rainy days). Every thing was in fantastic working order. The pitch sizes were enormous.
In the morning we woke up to a wonderful view overlooking the golf course; with it's streams, gentle hills and ducks! to the other side there was another lovely view with some sheep to keep the kids amused!
The site is v child friendly, and I was very happy to allow my 4 and 6 year olds to go cycling around the area on their own.
As we only stayed 2 nights we did not use many of the other facilities but they looked very clean, and the cafe/restaurant had lovely views!
The only fault would be that the swimming pool was closed - but this said on their site - and is to be expected in February.
I would absolutely recommend staying at plasseys - and will definitely be back!

We booked our pitch a bit last minute and despite being told that pitch number one could manage the caravan and porch awning we arrived in the dark after a long day at work to find that this was not the case. The staff on duty when we arrived were very apologetic, friendly and helpful and are a bit of mithering about we finally made our outfit fit by nosing on to the pitch and using the grass alongside the camp office to put up the awning! Be warned pitch number one is small and does not accommodate a full size awning no matter what anyone says on the telephone whilst booking!
Other wise the site is clean and tidy. The pitches further away from the entrance looked lovely and the showers at that end of the site are much nicer than the ones between reception and the pool. The toilets opposite the office were lovely thought, as were the washing up facilities etc. There are table tennis courts, badminton courts and a games room as well as the small seasonal pool and a shop selling essentials, sweets, ice creams and newspapers, all positioned around the reception area.
We didn't use the bar as there was a private party going on, however we were woken by the amount of noise made by the patrons leaving at closing time.
The marked out walk is lovely, the ducks enjoy a bit of bread if you have any spare and the farm shop across the road is great.

Just returned from this site and fully understand why it receives so many positive reviews. The staff, from booking over the telephone, arriving on site, pitching and generally wherever, where all so friendly and polite.
The site was absolutely spotless, toilet block pristine, warm, piped music etc etc, showers hot, free and no queue, dishwashing area spotless and again plenty of hot water.
We looked in the bar and restaurant, gift shop and coffee shop which although we didn't use they looked very smart. We did however use the footspa on site which was through a ladies hairdressers which seemed to be doing a roaring trade.
However, we did also use the pool. £2. 20 for 1hr 30mins. Again as expected it was spotless and warm although quite small. Including ourselves there was a total of 13 people and the way people spread out etc there was no real room to have a swim as such.
Two showers in the pool, very hot but we had to wait to get out of the pool as three young girls spent 40mins in the showers yet they where not asked to move on.
The site is well set up for caravans and I would say that 98% of what we saw was caravans and the site is huge.
