Lovely site, staff were friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Facility's couldn't t be kept cleaner, was surprised there were only 3 showers in our block but never had to wait. ( maybe we slept later than everyone else ha ha) some nice walks around, didn't t use the golf/fishing but seemed to be well used. Loved Llangollen, the canal, the horseshoe falls, the river dee. The bar was quiet when we were there but that's fine, it's nice to be able to get a drink and not worrying about driving back. The shop was well stocked and they were very helpful, all in all a good site, we enjoyed our stay.

In agreement with other reviews. Our only gripe was that our pitch was opposite reception so was rather noisier than expected from about 7. 30am. Found the shop rather expensive so a 40min round trip to Tesco in Wrexham was necessary. Late checkout on the sunday for free was a nice touch, just ask!
Wouldn't stay again because of the high end tariff plus £2. 20 each for the use of the pool when there are sites in the area for a lot less with more to offer families that don't fish or play golf.

I can only add to the great reviews that others have left. The site is very easy to find, signposted from about 5miles away.
On arrival they are very professional and we were quickly escorted to our pitch. It is very clean and well looked after, I can see why it has won the top 100 campsites according to the caravan mags. The facilities were not too far away, and the 'free' badminton and table tennis courts are a real bonus if you bring your own kit. But all can be hired.
Excellent site

Just returned from 2 nights here in our own motorhome (previous outings to other sites had been in a hired van), we treated ourselves to a deluxe pitch and it was great, own water, drainage and electrics, very spacious and overlooking the golf course. We were very warmly greeted by name on arrival, given information on the site and local attractions and then escorted to our pitch. The site is extremely clean and tidy, the washrooms are super, clean and warm, piped music, free hot showers, privacy cubicles, hand dryer and hair dryer. Can definitely recommend and would visit again no problem

Just back from a break in February half term. This was our first outing to try out our new caravan and we were really impressed with the Plassey. Everything was great, very clean and tidy and great facilities. Lovely landscaping, lots of trees and shrubs and beautiful Edwardian farm buildings to explore. The Staff were very friendly and helpful and we even managed some lovely sunshine for February. Lovely farm shop down the lane and great walks nearby too. Will definitely return in the spring.
A real gem!

Here we are again. Another year of touring and we finish off the year at our number one site some 40 miles from home. Fantastic site, great facilities, indoor swimming pool (small charge keeps the free users and kids away) so relax and enjoy. Reg took his golf clubs this time and really enjoyed himself playing some of the club members, who were really friendly.
The clubhouse offered great food and very good prices, real home cooked / fresh food, not worth cooking your own and you can have a drink (well we are on holiday. We stayed on a deluxe pitch, ele, water, waste, TV / Sky point (take your own sky receiver).
This is an excellent (dare I say) an upmarket site but at a reasonable cost for all the wonderful facilities, all of which are spotlessly clean. Staff are great, really happy and have time for you.
Simply if you want the best then Plassey is the place to go to. We are retired, but families will thoroughly enjoy this site as it's safe and has a playground, games areas, country walks. Thanks for a wonderful stay and we will see you yet again next year with the grand kids maybe.

We have visited the Plassey several times now and would recommend this site highly. The staff are friendly and helpful, the facilities are excellent in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. There is plenty to do on site to keep everyone occupied. I have no doubt that we will visit again and we do hope to visit this summer with both of our children and their families. The site and the surrounding area should tick the boxes of all age groups.

We have had a wonderful time at The Plassey. The site is very picturesque and set in the heart of the countryside. It gave a wow feeling as we drove up the long drive. There is lots to do whatever the weather including swimming, golf, table tennis and badminton. The restaurant is lovely, The Shippon and has a very cosy atmosphere.
Our three young children loved watching a remote control aeroplane display. We watched this from the walled garden amongst an old mulberry bush, pear and apple trees. We enjoyed the panoramic views of the countryside.
We went on a lovely walk around a conservation lake and through farmland where sheep were grazing.
Our children loved the wooden play area. All facilities were great and staff very friendly. We will definitely visit again.

We as a family have stayed at The Plassey many times. Now the children stay with their own children, and we still visit as a couple.
I first heard about The Plassey in the check in queue at Malaga airport! One of the most productive conversations we could have as it turned out.
We thoroughly enjoy staying at The Plassey. Its our favourite site and the best one we have ever visited. There is something for everyone. In a beautiful setting, with lots of facilities, including an indoor pool, a golf course, lots of little craft outlets, walks, a great playground for the little ones and table tennis, pool etc for the older ones.
There are several eating out options as well as a little shop for all provisions.
The Plassey is clean, well equipped with several sets of lavatories and showers on site, plus dish washing and laundry. And with lots of friendly helpful staff.
I can wholeheartedly recommend The Plassey. Once tried you'll want to go back again and again. Like us!
