We found this site purely by chance. What a find!
We found that the tent pitch was slightly potholey but not too much, our tent was more or less level. The toilet, shower, laundry facilities were very clean and nicely kept, very well maintained. The lady on reception was very friendly and quite amusing and gave us all the information that we needed.
The area is lovely. We took a two minute walk through to the beach and sat there with a bottle of wine watching the sun go down - how peaceful.
This site is quite pricey - £22 for a tent with electrical hookup and two people per night, but for the area, cleanliness of facilities and activities available it was worth it.
On the beach we used the watersports centre for canoeing which was really good fun. They have a really good range of activities.
Overall this is a very well kept site and we will be returning again if we are in the area.

Love this camp site, been coming here for years, Excellent facilities, clean modern toilets, Well stocked shop, great walks, and right next to a loch beach. Great if you are into water sports.
Good kids area, good place to stay if you want to explore the activities around Aviemore.
For kids you are only a few miles away from the Coylumbridge Hilton where they have a kids fun house, also just across the road from the Reindeer centre where you can visit Rudolf
Highly recommended site, hope to keep coming back for years to come

Stayed at Glenmore for a weekend, found the toilets to be very clean, staff were friendly and very helpful. Plenty of activities to keep not only us adults but also kids entertained. The site fees are a little expensive bearing in mind activities was an extra charge. The only problem was some of the pitches were very wet and had reeds growing, which when its a busy time makes it hard to find a place to pitch your tent. But will certainly be back.

Stayed for an overnight on our way up North. A nice site with lovely views and clean facilities. Don't know how often I would use site however as felt it was a bit pricey and have been to sites offering similar attractions (views/lochs etc) a good bit cheaper.

Great site, location fab, toilets excellent.
There is loads to do - cycling and walking straight out of the campsite.
Aviemore can be reached by bike but its a long way back and slightly uphill most of the way although it looks flat.
In a nice day sitting on the beach is really relaxing.
We've been lucky never many midges when we have been.

The location is first class with there being a short walk to Loch Morlich and a short trip up to the Cairngorms or to Aviemore. Plenty to do roundabout and a nice original playpark for the kids.
The toilet blocks are first class - modern, clean and plenty of showers.
Many of the pitches however are potholed and uneven and could really do with some TLC. We arrived on the May bank holiday weekend and there were not many pitches left, it was a bit of a free for all. If you like your pitches well defined with nice wee hedges then this is not the site for you. We have a big trailer tent so it was quite hard to find a reasonable pitch.
Staff friendly and it was good to see wardens walking around keeping order - just make sure you put your sticker on your car and on your tent!
Overall I thought this was a pricey site, what with weekend supplements and may bank holiday supplements meant a three night stay was over 95 pounds.
I wouldn't have minded paying a premium if the pitches were better.

Ideal location - close enough to Aviemore for the shopping, but with ready access to a lovely sunny beach, boat hire, and walking or cycling to match your ability / available time / equipment (for the record, it takes less than 2 hours for two adults to paddle a open canoe round the edge of Loch Morlich.). Fantastic views of the hills. But the site looks 'tired' - it's open all year, I think, and the grass looks worn thin (compared to the thick heather and birch / pine woods outside the site boundary). One area has had its electrics removed, to form a tents-only area. There are areas of hardstanding for motorhomes, that look like car parking ie. they're not subdivided by grass / rocks / bushes. Soft grass areas are filled in with stones, but some vehicles were skidding to get off after dry weather. The pitches are not marked, so the separation wasn't always ideal for privacy. My main gripe is with the management decision to lock half the toilets and showers in the smart new block, even though the site was almost full at Easter. I saw the Warden unlocking some cubicles, and I understand you can unlock them with a penny in the screw fitting (after checking they're unoccupied, of course!)- I wish I'd known as there was a queue for 3 showers at 4 pm with 3 showers put out of action.

This is a great site, even better now they have added the new toilet blocks, which are cleaned to a high standard. The ground can be a bit hard in places for pitching tents, but the site is in a great situation. A two minute walk takes you to the sandy beach of Loch Morlich, where you can do watersports if you wish, also there are loads of walks which are waymarked, and its also a haven for mountain bikers too, with some of the best singletrack in the country being close by. There is a small woodland park for the children, and buses pass the site regularly, and its easy to get anywhere from here, a five minute drive takes you back to Aviemore where you can get everything you need, including lots of shops that sell camping equipment.

We used a tent. It was covered in snow all around the site, we managed to get a pitch in the woods. It was excellent, with all the correct cold weather gear we had a great time. The site was not too busy. The toilets / showers were kept very clean, I think its a lovely site in the winter.
Will be back when next in the area. There is plenty to do in the area,a bus service from outside the site, a lovely little cafe / shop on the edge of the site.

What a great site. We had 3 nights along with our 10 year old daughter and black lab. Cycling was fantastic. Cycle route down to Aviemore great. Facilities great on site and toilets were spotless. Brilliant dog walking. Toilets fantastic. Will definitely go back in the spring. Great play park for the kids. Great cafe next door where we had soup and a roll one lunchtime when we couldn't be bothered cooking! Nice home baking as well. Good shop joined on where you can get the basic plus newspapers.
