A return visit to this site and yet again not disappointed.
All facilities are clean and modern. All the staff are cheerful and helpful. The site is well laid out so that you don't feel cramped and the vast surrounding forests and mountains allow for solitude if that's what you seek. A short walk/cycle (6 or 7miles) or bus ride away is Aviemore with all shopping needs catered for.
There are a couple of bars/eating places within walking distance of the site and lots of outdoor activities in the surrounding areas.
This is our third visit and we will be back as we still have more exploring to do of this beautiful area of Scotland.

The welcome and information was good but the site is tired and poorly drained (we experienced some rain!). The toilet block is modern, clean but lacked heating on a cool early May day.
If you are a TV fan and don't have a dish, then don't come here - there is no terrestrial TV. Poor of Forest Holidays not to say so on the web and that their top end pitch fees are payable on booking. They should also drop the tiresome shower buttons that limit the supply of warm water.
Overall, a fantastic location, close to the loch shore, but not so good for convenient eating out or shopping. Value for money rated poor.

Spent the last week in October here. Fantastic area. Wonderful cycle routes, there is even an off road route all the way to Aviemore now. We did a wonderful 54k over the Ryvoan pass to Nethybridge and back through the woods via Boat of Garten and Aviemore. All off road.
The site itself is lovely. We booked a hard standing so were directed to the right of the main entrance. Couldn't quite get our head around how this worked as most of the site seemed to have hard standings and it prevented us from pitching in the lovely area in the trees.
Toilet blocks spotless and constant hot water. (only one was open when we were there). Great washing up area. Wardens friendly and helpful. If you arrive when reception is closed they are happy for you to pitch and pay in the morning. They use a tag system so you attach a label to your van so they can see who has paid. Barrier closes at ten pm.
Tiny shop on site that sells a strange collection of goods, from hats to milk! Loved the Pine Martin Bar (also on site) and the great live music on a weekend, we even got a poetry reading!
There was snow on the tops whilst we were there which added to the beauty of the area. Hoping to return for Easter.

Well as I said back in my review for October last year. We had a return trip to this great site.
This time we'd booked a grass pitch and decided to go down to Pinemartin part of the site. These pitches are set between the trees with some over looking the loch.
Again all the facilities were spotless. We walked, cycled and photographed the area.
We went to the wildlife park for the first time in many years and highly recommend a trip there to watch Walker the polar bear playing with the hard hats in the water.
We will definitely return again.

This was our second visit in the same year, I have 2 kids a son of 6 and a daughter of 15, both love it here, and its kid safe
The first time we came was in the heat wave back at the start of summer, we were there in a tent, the second day the kids asked could we come back again, Loch Morlick is just minuets walk through the woods, its clean and safe for the kids.
The site is great with really helpful, friendly staff that make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, the camping areas are good as is the space allocation your given with the tent, the caravan section was the same with plenty room between the vans. The rates are good and the wash rooms are clean and never short of hot water,
From the moment we drove in it was clean and well presented, I had read some review about the bottom end being wet and problems tenting, I think this is down to the individuals choice of where to pitch rather than the camp site, The staff will advise ( if asked ) where to go and if there is any points to avoid.
My wife and kids liked the place so much we are returning over Christmas to stay there from the 23rd to the 27th of December
I give it a five star all round.

We just love this site and have visited many many times. We always go for the woodland camping where you can get away from it all and you are right next to the beach on Loch Morlich and the forest walks are right on the doorstep.
We have a dog and she loved the walks. All are waymarked and of various lengths.
Wildlife is spectacular here with deer, pine martens, birds (you will see crested tits if you hang a bird feeder on the tree next to your van).
When we first started coming here there were little in the way of local facilities but its much better now. If you want to eat out there is the Lochain Bar at the Glenmore Outdoor Centre (15 mins walk), the Pine Marten Bar ( with cafe and shop) adjacent to the site and also the cafe at the visitors centre across the road from the shop.
The only down side of visiting this area is Aviemore village. All local shops (eg, butchers, greengrocers, bakery) have been swamped by Tescos, scores of shops selling extortionately expensive outdoor/ skiing gear and cafes. Its only really worth a visit if you want to buy outdoor gear or shop at tescos (something I avoid doing in favour of small local shops).
Facilities on site are only 3 years old. Two shower and toilet blocks - a bit grubby and not of the standard we have got used to on our many visits this last time.

Stayed two nights, £71 for 2 adults, 2 15yr olds, campervan and tent awning. Thought this was quite reasonable as had £7 discount for being a family and it being midweek. Did come here in June but didn't stay as some reason it was £10 dearer than one down the road. Toilet facilities are lovely and clean, pitches are large with plenty of room. They do have a policy of if you have an awning you can't have a tent and vice versa, we wanted to put up a two man tent for the boys to sleep in as the weather wasn't great so needed the extra room for storing and seating, when I went to ask they offered me a refund so that we could go elsewhere, had already set up so stayed put. Right next to Loch Morlich/beach, cafe /bar very close plus little shop ideal for various Cairngorm pursuits. Staff were helpful, I think by the sounds of it they were a little fed up with people complaining at how much the site cost, think we must have had a bargain, witnessed four people wanting to stay one night and they were going to be charged £63, they didn't stay. Maybe they could do with reviewing their charges for one night stays.

We visited with 2 other families for a two night stay. There was plenty of space for tents even 3 large ones though the ground wasn't exactly flat where we were. The facilities were very clean and modern. The reception was staff were very helpful and there was a good ice block freezing facility (30p per block)
With Loch Morlich literally on the doorstep there was plenty to do though a children's playground would have been nice.
We enjoyed our stay very much and will def be returning this time with bikes

First visit here and we will return. Yes, the weather was lovely but even without this is a very nice place to be. Staff are friendly and helpful. Pitches are large (needing to be 6 metres apart) and best of all the beach (yes beach) is just a 2 minute walk away. Wash facilities are good and well maintained (good thought too having a mop and wipe brush ready to clean up after you, only takes 2 mins).
Best of all everyone obeys the 5 mph speed limit meaning kids can run around safe from any serious harm (except being mown down by another child on a bicycle).
Thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to going back. Even the midges behaved themselves.

As it was a sunny weekend at the start of the Scottish school holidays the campsite was completely full on the Friday and Saturday nights. We arrived on the Friday just after lunch when there were still plenty of pitches available and were able to choose where we wanted to go. We decided on the Pine Woods area which has nice pitches (with or without electric hook-up) with shade and sun, and plenty of trees to give it a bit of character. I’d stay in this area again as the main part of the site is simply open plan and so you feel surrounded on all sides when there are a lot of people. The toilet blocks were clean and well maintained, although there was a short queue for showers in the morning due to the volume of campers.
Next to the site is a small shop, bar and cafe. The bar had live music on the Saturday night.
About half a mile away is the Glenmore Lodge outdoor centre and we walked there for dinner one night in the bar which I’d certainly recommend. From the outside it looks as though it may be only for people staying at the centre but they are very welcoming to everyone.
Great location for walking, bike riding and water sports, etc. If you want to go to Aviemore it is approx. 8 miles away – we saw a bus passing regularly or there is a cycle path all the way if you choose to take your bike.
