This is one of the best sites we have stayed in. We have been coming here for about 3 years and have never had any problems here. It has beautiful scenery, is peaceful, clean and run by friendly and helpful staff. This is the perfect place to come to 'get away from it all'. Highly recommended!

First time for me in Wales and I think I struck gold with this site. What a beautiful place to wake up to each morning, even though the weather was rather inclement at times. The owners were very friendly and nothing seemed any trouble to them. As for the toilets and shower blocks they were spotless, considering the amount of rain that had fallen on most days. The grounds were kept clean, and the waste bins were always being emptied. Only a short walk into beddgelert, and what a lovely picturesque village this is. A special mention to the tannonren hotel, had the best lamb noisettes I've ever eaten mmmmmm. Will definitely be going back to this site.

A very quiet and peaceful site set in stunning mountain scenery. The weather wasn't good when we visited (the weekend of the 9th/10th August) but still an enjoyable experience. The toilets and showers were immaculate considering that the site was so busy. The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, all in all great site, to which we will return, perhaps when the weather forecast is a little better.

Had a brilliant time here last week with our 2 boys aged 3 and 11. We camped by the stream, not recommended though, very noisy at night!
Weather was Ok for first couple of days followed by 72 hours of non stop rain, but that didn't put us off! Midges are a pain in the evenings so take plenty of Jungle Formula!
Very spacious campsite, plenty of electric hook up pitches. Toilets and showers clean and not too busy. Laundry, freezer and washing up facilities all very handy!
Shops in Beddgelert are great, don't miss the ice cream!
Will definitely be returning again next year.

Just returned from a week on this site. Must echo all other comments about what a lovely site. Did have to use my rock pegs though first time in 2 years but guess you might expect to in a mountainous region!
Toilets showers all fine although during the weekend the site was busy and was often a cue for the showers, but you kind of got used to when to go and during the week it wasn't a problem. Some cracking walking to be had from the site if that's your thing. Bus to Caernarfon (return) was £6 something for 2 adults and a child. General car parking was £4 for a day just about everywhere we went so big bonus to going to Caernarfon on bus, left the car and had a beer or two!
If your surgically attached to your mobile phone then this may not be the site for you! Little or no signal bliss for me!
Shall not hesitate in going back for more some othertime.

Beautiful site surrounded by a river, fields and fantastic views of surrounding hills. Very quiet (although the road noise can be heard at peak times - but does not take away from the tranquility) and a pleasant site to stay on.
The toilets and showers are spacious and clean and hot and a pleasure to use.
Easy access to Beddgelert via a lovely walk up the small road and then river path. We enjoyed a great walk past Gelerts grave and onwards up an interesting and rocky river walk which was great for the dogs. About 7 miles from this site to the start of the PGY and Miners track up to Snowdon. There is a dog walking area, but not fenced in so you have to be on top of them so that they do not stray into areas they are not allowed. A very quiet site and a holiday which we very much enjoyed despite, sadly, the constant rain.

Had a great holiday here. Waking up to this scenery every day was wonderful. The site is large and spacious with a 'keep noise to a minimum' rule which seemed to work. The facilities were plentiful and clean with plenty of hot water for showers, washing and basins outside for washing up. We only used the main showers and toilets which were new and modern but there were others in portacabins which according to others they were also of a high standard.
We had a lot of rain on one day, and most of the site drained well, though there were a few puddles here and there so careful pitching was a must.
A ten(ish) minute walk to Beddgellert where there were a couple of shops, supermarkets are either Porthmadog or Caernarvon. There was a small assortment of pubs and a tea-room. We used the Saracen's Head, and had a great meal and the price wasn't too bad.
The site might be less quiet when busy, but we will certainly be returning.

Wow! We've just had a great long weekend here, the scenery is spectacular. The grey haired guy on site is a mind of information, from where to pitch your tent to where to visit. The other staff were also helpful and friendly. The new toilet/shower block is one of the best we have visited, but don't be put off by the portacabin toilets / showers these were also spotless with an abundance of hot water. The location of the site couldn't be better, with a ten minute walk into Beddgelert village (along the road or the river). Nice pubs, cafes/restaurants serve really good food at reasonable prices, (only downside is most do not serve food at 8:30pm, if you want to eat after this time try the Saracens Pub). If cream teas are your thing a must is the Riverside Restaurant great value for money - more like a meal than an afternoon tea. We can also recommend Lyn's. We will certainly be returning.

Just come back from a weekend's camping here and it has been absolutely idyllic. Weather was warm and sunny and the walk into Beddgelert is absolutely beautiful, a gorgeous afternoon was spent sunbathing and chilling out by the river! Cae Du itself is in a beautiful valley with the most fantastic backdrop of hills-indeed have never seen such a marvellous view behind a toilet block ever ( very imposing Moel Hebog)! The owners are very friendly, helpful, personally helping us find our pitch (the marvellously named Stonehenge). Don't really want to recommend this site because WE WANT TO KEEP IT TO OURSELVES!
Beddgelert itself is small, can't comment on pubs as we dont like Robinson's bitter (all 3 serve this) but can recommend Lyn's cafe for snacks and inexpensive but home cooked evening meals.
All in all-fantastic, can't wait till we can come back!
Ps. Had a bit of a problem with midges/mozzies-not the site's fault, usual problem at a site near a river-so take some Mosi guard and Savlon!

We stayed here for a week with friends who were in a caravan, we were in a tent with electric hook up, we were allocated pitches next to each other. Although the pitches were large if you had electric hook up you were more crammed in than the tents without, which we have found in general since aquiring electric hook up. But as the site was very spacious this wasnt too much of problem.
The campsite is pricy costing £30.50 per night for family of 5. However the toilet facilities were spotless and site peaceful, children are made welcome although there is no play area the owners have rigged up a couple of rope swings in a tree, however the tree is next to an unfenced pond. There were many families and walkers alike on site.
Plenty of walks from campsite and Beddgelert a 10-15 min walk along river. The ice cream and pizza place worth a trip, other grocery shopping very limited you need to visit Porthmadog or Caernarfon to stock up.
When we visited midges were big problem, resulting in us getting bitten to death, so take plenty of repellent.
Site and area well worth a visit.
