What a wonderful site.
Reception staff were really friendly and happy to pass on any info required!
Pitches were v spacious and obviously well thought out!
The shower/toilets were superb!
Unfortunately for us, the weather wasn't in the least spring like, so no fishing, but it didn't stop us wandering around the area.
Recommend the tues market and farmers market in Melton Mowbray! Great buzz about the town!
Our only disappointment, was allowing people to arrive late. Pitch next to us arrived at 9. 15 pm and we thought that was a shame to disturb the tranquillity that the site offers,
All in all, a great site and definitely worth a return visit!

Just returned from a weekend break at this site. This is the 3rd visit over the last year.
Site is well maintained with all the pitches around the lake fully serviced with tarmac hardstanding. They have added gravel to the awning part of the pitch rather than grass over the winter which an improvement.
Our only complaint has been the lack of toilet facilities as they are individual unisex toilet showers cubicles which are to a excellent standard, but there were only 8, meaning sometimes you couldn't get in.
This is being addressed by the addition of 2 new blocks due for completion by the end of April.
Staff are helpful and friendly. Clubhouse is also very good with functions on Saturdays. As touring site is well away there is no noise. And it's adult only so no children running about. Only noise was from the bird scarers in the surrounding field I think this is seasonal as it was the first time we had heard these.
Site is about 3 mile out of Melton which is a good sized market town with all the usual amenities. Reasonable parking and Great for a Melton Mowbrey pie!
Rutland Water is about 15 miles away if you fancy a ride around the lake with your own bike or you can hire one. Bit muddy this time of year in places so be prepared.

Spent 2 nights at this truly tranquil site. Excellent facilities in process of being improved by addition of extra toilet blocks.
Clubhouse was warm and welcoming. Enjoyed a lovely cooked breakfast for £5. 25. Reception, bar etc all good. The full service pitches are spacious and surrounded by young trees and shrubs which when mature will give greater privacy. The grass area for awnings has been replaced with a gravel patch which should be better in wet conditions.
The location is superb and the fishing looked good, we don't fish but others seemed very happy.
Melton Mowbray offers shopping, pubs and some nice restaurants. Lots to do in the area but we just wanted a rest. Would definitely go again

We have just returned from having spent 4 nights at Eye Kettleby Lakes over the Xmas holidays.
Such an imposing entrance, gladly the rest of the site upholds that standard.
The staff welcome was highly professional.
The pitches are spacious and well laid out with power, water and drainage to each.
My wife says it has the best loo emptying facilities she has ever seen, as well as the best loos and showers ever experienced.
There is a good looking clubhouse, though we chose not to make use of it.
The site is built around coarse fishing lakes which looked well kept and tempting.
Would we use it again? Only probably. Even though the site has lots of quality facilities I'm becoming the sort of person who looks for an empty field with running fresh water and somewhere to empty the loo.

I would really like you all to think that this site is rubbish. I want you to think that it is not worth a visit and I want you to stay away, because the truth is that this adults-only site is a little gem and if I tell you that, you will all start to visit regularly like we do and so there will never be a pitch available when we want one!
We have been here on several occasions and absolutely love the tranquility of the site, the quality of the touring park facilities (which are being expanded again for 2013) and the welcome from Lizzy & Joe (& young Arthur!) the site managers.
Most of the pitches are large, level and tarmac with a well kept grassy area for awnings and are full-service with power, water, grey waste and TV point. There are a few around the perimeter which are large, but not full-service and the prices reflect the differences.
The prices have gone up a little for 2013 but still feel like excellent value for money to us, given that the site is only an hour from home and we use it for weekends away in our pride & joy when we can't get more time off from work to go further afield.
We don't fish, but I am told the fishing is excellent and the lakes make for a lovely stroll in the evening on the way to the pleasant and well-stocked bar for a pint or two. The same facility servies an excellent cooked breakfast at a very reasonable price each morning - a great way to finish the weekend prior to packing up to travel home.
All in all, one of the nicest sites we have ever visited and one we will continue to use for as long as you lot stay away so we can get a pitch!

A quality, peaceful adults only site. Individual fully serviced pitches located around a small lake. Be even better as the planting matures. Well laid out with use of quality materials. Eight individual en-suite toilet facilities mark this out as a different type of site. The reception + bar + cafe add to the site amenities while staff are friendly and helpful. A paradise for anglers while plenty of footpath walking in and around the site. Will definitely go again.

Just returned from a week stay at this lovely Adults only campsite. The pitches are all laid out with hard standing for caravan and car and grass for the awning. Plenty of space.
The Toilet and shower facilities is like stepping into a hotel bathroom and spotless.
The Staff are very friendly and helpful, the club house has a very friendly feel and the breakfasts served are lovely.
The fishing is good, the lakes well kept, plenty of walks for the dogs. A few nice villages around to do shopping.
We enjoyed it so much we have booked for 2 weeks next year

What a fantastic place to visit, we arrived at reception and was welcomed, given info then a map, the map was given last so we remembered directions, nice touch.
We arrived at out pitch (30) and it was next to a large pond, there are some seriously big fish in there, soon parked up, awning up and chilled.
My wife went to the toilet and came back saying it was 5* facilities so I had to have a nosey, yep, definitely 5*.
In the evening we went to the club house, there was live music and a pizza van there, we had a great time and will definitely return.
Only 1 night and feel well relaxed, if it's quiet and relaxing you want then this is the place (great for fishing I'm told, don't fish)
Only 1 think I would suggest and that's take a rubbish bag as they are not given out but that's it.

This is the best touring site we have ever visited. The toilet and shower areas are excellent, They are better equipped then some top hotels we have stayed in over the years
The staff are very friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble to them.
Nimo pulls a good pint of Thatchers Gold and John Smiths.
This is a new site and run with hands on owners and family. All there staff are 5 star. If you want peace and tranquillity and seven brilliant fishing lakes then this is the place for you. Once you've been once to this venue you will be taken back with all the site and it's high standards.
My wife says don't forget to mention the long days fishing. (ha ha)
We've booked again next week.
Negative point put your sat Nav a bucket of water.

This is one of the best sites we have ever visited, we stayed here 3 times in 2012 and are booked for March 2013.
The pitches are of a good size, most are fully serviced and hardstanding. The facilities are second to none, exceptionally clean and really luxurious for a camp site. The lake in the middle gives the site a nice feel and it is lovely to hear the ducks settling down at night.
Although this site does not have a pub within walking distance the clubhouse serves good beer and wine and has a really friendly atmosphere and they sometimes have live music. You can even get a Chinese take away delivered to the site, what more do you need.
We will definitely be using this site again.
