Great site all tarmac hardstanding pitches with tap, electrics and waste water, within a few miles of Melton mowbray which had a good open market and train station, the toilets are units with a shower which are cleaned daily, the site has a club house / tea room which has a bar and live acts on at weekends, it's a short walk away but no noise to the campsite, although the site is adult only we did see children on the camp site being secreted out of a motorhome, I think the management should keep a closer eye on the camp site, would recommend the site and we will return

We have used this site several times and in more than 20 years caravaning in the UK and France this is probably the best site we have ever used. It has the best facilities and pitches, there is not much extra you could ask for. 1st class.

Probably the best Tranquil Touring Campsite by far.

From the moment you drive onto the site to leaving you will not be disappointed.

The staff are great, the clubhouse is very good with reasonably priced food and beverages, some nights they have entertainment.

The pitches are nicely spaced with shrubs dividing the pitches.

The toilet and shower facilities are modern and immaculately clean, maybe my only criticism is that they need to be heated or cooled to the current weather.

Would I go back again ? Yes without a doubt.

 Don’t expect a view

We booked 5 months earlier and got the last remaining pitch. £92. 50 for 3 nights.

This site had been recommended and because it was bank holiday we thought we’d pay that bit extra. Everything on the web site looked great.

Very misleading from our “row” of vans there was no view whatsoever (unless you call looking into other caravan windows a view), very misleading from the web images. Trees & shrubs had grown, lakes, what lakes? Vans in a row like regimented soldiers on a rough terrain. Space to park your vehicle was very restricted

Grass around pitches very in need of a cut, also on dog walk. Difficult to pick up after your dog in such long grass. Oh and the dog walk also doubled up as a landing strip. Nearly got taken out, very shocked by a light aircraft that came into land above us. No one warned us of that (no signs either).

Saturday night entertainment, as advertised and confirmed when we checked in didn’t materialise (again a particular reason why we booked this site). Apparently she’d been double booked. Hope that they may get something “sorted” for the following night but they didn’t.

TV signal poor in every direction we tried it

Loo/shower block good standard, but I’ve seem equally as good in most sites we’ve visited.

Over all very disappointed, certainly won’t return.

You can not find anything negative about this site. You only have to read the positive reviews from visitors who return time and time again.

To the people that have never been to Eye Kettlby before my advice book and I promise you won't be disappointed. This site is run by a 100% owner and family hands on site supported by a team of staff they can be very proud of.

As you can probably tell this site is highly recommended and is 5* all round.

Have book again for August Bank Holiday and in 2017.

 What a super site!

Very clean, lovely relaxing environment and for the fishermen I imagine this is top notch. Dog walks are great, everything is very accessible but not cramped.

Downsides, there are not very many, The new internet access on pitches is not particularly good, and an additional charge. Mobile signal is not the best, so don't expect 4G on your pitch (on EE anyway)

Getting to site was fine, no real problems with access, roads are navigable without issue, Good for the first time caravanner.

Give it a look, I'll certainly be back for a weekend with the dog.

Just spent a week on site concur with other comments from previous postings good facilities if a little lacking whilst we were on site due to full capacity, maybe need to consider another utility block. Pitches in the higher numbers require levelling blocks 48-61, shame really as so much work has gone into providing a good sized serviced pitch I would have thought with a little more effort could have made the pitches level. Clubhouse was great with meals served 15. 00 - 18. 00 happy for you to organise your own evening meals to be delivered to the clubhouse. Wed/fri organised fish n chips/takeaway night. Staff excellent always willing to help, site quiet at night so no issues getting to sleep. Tv/satellite reception fine, wifi didn't work on out pitches but I understand that's to be rectified. Nearest shops in Melton Mowbray but site shop covered most essentials.

We spent the bank holiday weekend here, specifically wanting a quiet site.

This was our first visit and we were very impressed. The pitches are quite close together, probably the closest we have ever been on, but the hedges round each pitch do stop others from walking through your pitch. Very dog friendly, we don't have one, but apart from a couple of barking ones they were all well behaved.

The site was peaceful after 11pm which is what we wanted.

The bathrooms were reasonably clean, and warm, and athough it was very busy we didn't have to queue. Lovely hot water.

The washing machine and dryer are a good size and reasonable cost.

We have a 5th wheel, so we're unable to pitch nose in. This meant no awning, and we had to park on the grass and gravel (forbidden) we will be aware of this next time and try to book a deeper pitch.

Loved the lakes, especially the one on the site with the koi carp.

Close to Melton Mowbray. We cycled round Rutland Water and visited Oakham, a town worth a visit.

We will book again.

Had another brilliant weekend at this site despite the cold. As every poster has said the pitches and facilities are top notch. One comment however is that on arrival you are given a card with codes on & an A4 with some really useful info on regarding take aways, eating places etc. We were pitched in a different place than last time and for the life of me I couldn't find the bins & asked another camper in the end. They were not where I would have expected them so how about a map to show us where things are?

We went to Stonywell a National Trust property. What a wonderous place. An arts & crafts cottage which was one of the most awesome places. Loved it! It was like a real home with lovely woods where you could imagine children playing all those years ago. Go visit if you can. We went into Melton Mowbray though I have to say apart from Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe & Anne Of Cleaves ancient pub it's like most other small towns. We like this site a lot and will be back again.

Booked this adults only on the strength of its reviews. It didn't disappoint. On arrival you have to drive passed the touring part to reception. The site is signposted from the road.

Warm friendly welcoming reception also houses a bar/ restaurant and was well patronised as we arrived. A good introductory and information leaflet was provided. The tourers are located round a small lake and fountain most have good views. All pitches are hard standing with EHU and water. Service pitches also have drainage. The toilets are immaculate with underfloor heating, dressing area, hairdryer, shower and toilet in single units. The site has free on site wifi for two hours. Longer periods are chargeable.

The walk to Melton Mowbray is a long boring walk through houses. We did find a more relaxing walk but it is still a hour long walk. Melton Mowbray itself was very ordinary.

We loved this site but would enjoy it more with transport. There is no bus service from the site. The site occupies a central in an area of fishing lakes
