Have been using this since the first year it opened and now about to return for its tenth birthday this site is and I can honestly say by far the best I have used and I have used a lot the toilets and showers are kept immaculate the under floor heating is amazing as well as the piped music the clubhouse is a pure dream made from logs it has a warm welcome feeling complemented by the staff who greet everyone as family and really do go out of there way to help the shop sells to pup item and a good selection of wine and beer as well as some fishing items the food in the restaurant rivals some four star restaurants I have been to try the Sunday dinner ! You had better be hungry the selection of cakes and bread for sale is mouth watering this is a fishermans paradise as well as women of course well stocked very accessible lakes make it so easy for expert and newcomer alike one warning though book early this site is mega popular unless you are very lucky to get a cancellation it is very difficult to get in you don't have to take my word for it try it I dare you not to be amazed at just how much this site meets everyone's needs Melton Mowbray is not that exciting it has a weekly market and car boot but try the micro brewery's best order transport though this stuff is not for the feint hearted

This must be one of the best sites around. Although the weather was minus five everything else was perfect. Nobody bothered us, the check in was easy and everything was relaxed. We could have had fish and chips delivered or if you was fishing a breakfast buttie sent to your peg.
The toilets were better than some hotels I have visited, sheer luxury.
My only gripe is that to get in last minute you would be very lucky you need to book months ahead. I have looked and any peak times have gone
So my advise is BOOK NOW for next year

Back again to this beautiful well run site. I said it all in my last review and their standards continue to be high; even wind and rain can't lower the pleasure of using this site. The club house is 5* rated for hygiene and food; staff as pleasant as ever. Well done to all the staff, Merry Christmas and we'll be back next year!

Not to sound like everyone before me, but yes this has to be the best site ever!
So for me too sum this site up. Warmest time sat on the loo ever!
Quality of everything has had a keen eye upon it. Whoever has overseen this site has really done their homework. They have created the best of everything there is about a touring site into one place. Hat's off too you!

A lovely welcome from the ladies in reception and all information was given in a pleasent and friendly way. We were on pitch 44 just the right distance away from lovely warm, clean, amazing toilets; which were accessedby code as was the barrier to the site. This site has a very good club house serving food which is not over priced and all the staff are very efficient and friendly; the English breakfast is the best I've ever had, wow (great chef with a very good team!
The landscaped site with its lakes are beautiful and the site is kept very tidy. This site is a gem and within easy walking distance to Melton Mowbray; turn right out from barrier past three lakes to top path, take left then right to farm, through farm to road, cross road to footpath and then through park and housing estate to the town (enough information for a good map reader).
This site is highly recommended and that being so we booked again for the end of November. Many thanks to all the staff we met and those we didn't your hard work is appreciated.

2nd visit this year, one of our top 3 favourite sites. We have been visiting since it first opened.
The whole site is maintained to the highest standards & is a tough benchmark for all its competitors.
Online booking is easy & what I like best is that you can book by pitch number guaranteeing where you pitch up,
The private shower pods with basin & toilet are wonderful & kept very clean.
There is a great on site dog walk & you can walk all around the grounds & fishing lakes too. They must have spent thousands on landscaping the grounds & touring site.
Already planning our 2016 trips.

This site is overwhelmingly excellent. I cant think of one thing that is negative. Its like staying in a top class hotel. The shower rooms are simply the best. The pitches are a really good size.
Very popular with the fishermen due to the many lakes and by the looks of it more lakes are planned.
The clubhouse have some of the nicest staff we have ever met. The breakfast is gorgeous, sets you up for a day in Melton Mowbray, a great place to shop or just simply window shop. We can seriously recommend the Spice Club Indian Restaurant in Melton. Wonderful staff, service and food.
We will certainly be back.

Another visit to this excellent site, this time with friends who were equally impressed. The facilities were spotless despite the site being full. Reception, the bar and breakfasts were excellent. We will have to return to sample lunch!
Melton is a nice little town and we had a nice lunch at the dog friendly Anne of Cleves. Lots to see and do in the area or just chill out in the tranquil surroundings. Can't comment on fishing as we don't.

Well what a great site this is. Now in our top 2. We had none of the issues the OP had, in fact the opposite. Great welcome, helpful staff. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful setting and the site was full We were on standard pitch with EHU & water no problems with anything reaching. Yes we had to use a levelling ramp but no big deal. One upside to that pitch is we got a lovely view over the countryside.
The showers are a joy. A proper bathroom complete with loo, sink shower and a separate sitting area with large mirror and hair drier. Whilst the pressure was not high it was sufficient and an you could alter the temp to suit too. And all free! We intend to keep revisiting this site as it really is first class and a Tranquil Site.
We went into Melton Mowbray for the food festival and that was superb. Melton Mowbray is an interesting town with out the festival. Do visit the Anne Of Cleaves pub absolutely atmospheric.
So all in all this is a site to add to your schedule, you won't regret it.
