We were attracted to this site after hearing that the touring section was both brand new and adults only.
The site is an anglers paradise, with seven well stocked lakes, we do not fish, but found the tranquillity appealing.
On arrival we were blown away by the attention to detail and obvious investment in the park.
All the touring pitches were tarmac for unit and car, with grass awning area. They were spacious and Fully Serviced including TV Hook-up, although we didn't have a problem finding a digital signal.
We paid a little extra for one of 6 'Super Pitches', these were even larger, and were surrounded by fast growing conifers, which in a year or two will make as near to a perfect pitch as you could imagine.
As mentioned, by other contributors, the toilet / shower buildings were outstanding and the reception / bar / restaurant was in a superb log cabin type building.
In the future, perhaps the shop could be expanded, as it only offered a few basic items, although Melton Mowbray is only a short drive away, there could be quite a population at the site in peak season, with the residents of a number of wooden luxury lodges, along with the anglers and now the touring community.
The cool easterly wind, rolling across the flat countryside adjacent to us was a bit of a challenge, but the young conifers will hopefully act as a break when established.
Really enjoyed our three night stay, and will definitely return soon for a peaceful break with all the mod-cons!

The caravan site has been recently constructed with newly planted hedges that will make each pitch private. Each pitch is surfaced with tarmac. You must park your caravan with the door to the edge of the grass so that your awning is erected on the grassed area.
The facilities are housed in log cabins. Each room has a dressing area, toilet, basin and shower with music. These are first class.
There are sinks for washing up and laundry facilities.
The staff on site are very helpful. The fishing is excellent too.
Cannot wait to return.

Stayed for the weekend and what a lovely site! The pitches are numbered and a very generous size. They are ideal for motorhomes as each pitch has it's own water, EHU and grey waste disposal. They are all hardstanding and nicely laid out. This is a new site and shrubs have been planted around each plot so this will give a bit of privacy in a few years when they have matured.
As for the showers and toilets. Possibly the best that we will ever use! Lovely private bathrooms with shower (lovely with unlimited hot water) toilet, drying/dressing area, hair dryer,
Piped music and underfloor heating.
If you're into fishing then this will be ideal as I think they have about 8 lakes. We're not but they are lovely to walk round and just enjoy the scenery! We walked into Melton Mowbray via the public rights of way, which took us about 40 minutes.
Staff on reception very helpful and friendly all in all a really good weekend and we will most certainly be back!

This is a new site that takes about 50 caravans although there is an area for tents on the outside of the caravan area. Each caravan pitch has water, electric and is on hardstanding. And all are Adult Only.
The site has been well thought out and currently has young shrubs planted, once these have matured each pitch should be quite secluded.
There are 3 extra long pitches for either large motorhomes or longer caravans. You park your car and caravan on the hardstanding and your awning goes on the grass, I can quickly see the grass becoming bare as the season progresses on our visit it rained heavily and the awning matt was both wet & muddy.
The showers are fabulous pine built with each shower cubical having underfloor heating, piped music with a toilet and a separate dressing area, also the showers are power showers and unrestricted water.
They have 8 lakes to chose from and on the last day I went on the carp lake, which was very good, the prices vary from £10 for the carp lake to £5 for the others.
The road in is wide enough with no problems.
For us it was great being an 'adult only' site together with the fishing made it a great site - can't wait to return.

Just got back from a fantastic weekend at Eye Kettleby, its the first time we have used the site due to only opening a few weeks back. The reception staff upon arrival were very friendly and helpful giving us loads of information. The actual pitches were very good, the toilet/shower rooms were excellent and very spacious, the best we have every seen on any campsite.
The surrounding area was very pleasant and the site was very peaceful. We have already booked two further breaks, which we are looking forward to. Contact with staff during the weekend was very good and they could not be more obliging. This is a little gem of a site in Leicestershire and we are sure that once visited you would return again and again.

Visited this site over the Easter weekend, only their 2nd weekend of opening. Lovely site, good facilities with toilet/shower rooms just like an en suite! All kept clean, shame other campers couldn't manage to throw empty loo rolls away and put new one on the holder! All pitches have their own water supply and a drain in the pitch where you can run a pipe to if you have one long enough, even an aerial connection apparently but we got a really good picture on our own aerial so didn't try. Only gripe is that as the pitches are tarmac you have to put your awning on the grass and with the rain we had it was getting a bit muddy, which is a shame as we think this may make the site look a bit messy after a time. An easy solution (bar changing to all gravel) would be to have at least a pathway to roadway from the grass.
There was a jazz band and hog roast on the Saturday in the clubhouse, which made for a pleasant evening.
Fishing was enjoyed by my husband, with plenty of lakes to choose from.
They even have luxury lodges for hire.
Overall though a lovely site, whole site seems well cared for and very friendly staff, we hope to return soon.

Attended this site for 3 day weekend in March 2012.
We were very impressed with the site, layout and especially the shower /toilet facilities, these are the best we have seen. Service at reception and bar/restaurant was excellent.
Services at the pitch also very good.
One critisism. Dogs were allowed to roam the site freely without owners. Especially some of the ground staff. This must be addressed as several other caravanners made same comments. Dog mess on their pitches.
We are dog owners and never allow our dog to out without being an a lead.
Otherwise 9/10
We have rebooked for May and July 2012
