A great site only a short walk to the beach, real fires allowed. Small but very reasonably priced shop selling logs, ice creams, cold drinks, sweets, crab lines and nets etc. Toilets and showers are basic but clean.
The only fault we had was a shortage of washing up facilities - only 2 sinks, but hey the rest is so great it didn't really bother us. Staff really helpful and friendly. We took 3 children and 2 dogs. Highly recommended.

Have just returned from an enjoyable busy bank holiday weekend at this nice basic site. The people who run it are very friendly and helpful and at £5 per adult and £3.50 per child the prices are quite reasonable. The play area was fab for my 6 and 3 yr olds and they were happy to spend a good few hours there at a time. There were hookups but don't know how many as we didn't need one.
FYI - The water tap is to the right of the toilet block if you are looking at it and on the wooden fence. We spent ages trying to find it.
The facilities are ok, but as is the case with Bank Holidays, it was just too busy for the amount of toilets and showers that were available. They tried hard to keep it clean but the floors were very wet and the family showers were not that comfortable with a concrete floor and nowhere to hang a family amount of clothes and towels. There were too many tents in the far field so no room to kick a ball about or fly a kite.
The town Milford-On-Sea is lovely with everything you need and the cafe on the sea front has a fantastic view of the IOW needles and a great play area for the kids. We also spent a day on one of the beaches towards Christchurch and had a fantastic time.
We would return to this site but I'd be happier to pay a little more if there was a a stricter limit on the amount of tents. But it was a sunny Bank Holiday so can't be surprised really. Great to have fires aswell, there aren't enough sites that allow campfires!

Came in a tent and stayed a week.
Lovely weather. Lovely site. Very nice views all around.
Wing, the accountant, brought over his laptop and showed the kids all the stars.
Nice and simple price list. They just charge by the unit with none of the usual silly extras which will bump up the price.
Shop had milk and sweeties.
The local pub - fantastic- seemingly in the middle of no where down a country footpath. Wing gave us a map.
Cant fault their showers and toilets. Basic, but definitely adequate. There are a couple of family shower/ toilet rooms hidden away from the main loos.
They were really nice.
Quite a few dogs on site, but they all were kept on leads, so that was ok.

Two friends and I have just stayed at this site having already spoken to Wing the site accountant to make sure it was ok for us to arrive on our motorbikes and it was, some sites can be funny about this. I had read some of the negative reviews but felt it was worth the risk as the benefit of having a campfire out weighed the negative comments, and am glad we did stay. This is a great campsite, fantastic location, very friendly, plenty of space, even over Easter with three big fields to choose from. There were several younger groups staying but the owners and Wing do the rounds in the evening making sure that the noise is kept down. The showers were the best I have ever experienced on a UK campsite with plenty of hot water and no queues. Yes the shower block floor gets a little wet at peak times but if you wear flip flops or sandles then this shouldn't be a problem. If you like to camp then this site is for you, if you like and want five star luxury go and book into a hotel. I would and will stay here again.

First time out in a touring caravan.
We chose this site because we came here last year. We had been to another site with no showers and were desperate to have a wash.
Phoned them up and they kindly let us stay for just two nights. On the phone, many of the other campsites in the area wanted a three night minimum stay. I also heard that on some of these other sites, they were really strict about leaving times in the morning.
They have changed the shower and toilets block. Much better that the old ones which we remember from last year. Although, as mentioned, we were after any washing and showering facilities after two days trying to wash in a toilet sink at the previous site
There was plenty of hot water all the time and no queues.
The little shop on site does not sell much, but there is a Waitroise and a Tescos in town.
The lady at reception gave us a nice little map with the pubs and shops on, which I thought was really thoughtful.
I'm also glad I did not book the bank holiday Friday, because the site was starting to fill up with people. Apparently, they get quite busy on bank holidays and booking beforehand for hookups is a good idea.

First visit to this site. It was not very busy so there were no queues for showers and toilets.
We came to this site because we found out that they allow small camp fires. I think all the other ten or so groups that were here also had fires. It was quite a pleasant evening watching the stars through the gentle wood haze.
They don't allow music after dark, so it was not at all noisy - just chatting and laughing until midnight.
Nearest pub was fantastic. They are dog and children friendly. Pub is called the chequers inn.
Showers & Toilets. - Adequate and clean.
Sea view - Fantastic
Going back ? - Yes already booked for the summer

This site has a lot of potential, it's well situated and has large open flat fields and Wing is very helpful even helping late comers pitching their tent in the dark.
However, their web site is a little misleading; there is a large static caravan area that looks residential rather than holiday rental. The shower and toilet facilities are a ramshackle grouping of portable toilet and shower units, the like of which are usually seen at major events and 1 log cabin type building, all of which are so mouldy and dirty. Maybe if they provided bucket and mops people could clean up after themselves.
The other issue that we had was the noise, people rather than the sound of earth moving equipment from the very nearby landfill.
We stayed for 2 nights, the 1st was annoying, very loud group on other side of field but the 2nd night was hell due to a very large mixed group with very loud music screaming and shouting till 3.30 am. Even though the owners apear to live on site, nothing was done until the following morning.
The burger bar type van serving breakfast was different!

Myself and my wife visited this site for 2 weeks in the middle of august. We found the staff very helpful and friendly and they let us use more than enough space. The toilets leave a lot to be desired though as if you wanted a shower and the toilet in the morning you either had to be very lucky or get up at silly o'clock to avoid queuing. It was very windy when we were there (60mph gales) and as the site is very open and near the sea the awning took the full brunt of it but the ground was firm enough for the pegs to hold it steady! the local pubs were very friendly and most allowed us to dine and bring our dog in. There are some very good walks straight off the site so no need to drive everywhere which was a blessing as I drive a lorry for a living. The noise from the 'tip' is a bit of a pain as the lorries start rolling in at 7.30am and also there is a noisy pump that sometimes runs at night but as we were in a caravan you got used to it pretty quickly. We will return to this site but hopefully they will get the toilet block sorted out

As first time campers we wanted somewhere that wasn't too expensive as we have just bought everything new (including the kitchen sink!) so thought this would be an ideal, cheap introduction to camping. The staff were friendly enough and the site is three large fields, so plenty of space and you can pitch pretty much wherever you want.
However, there are not enough shower blocks for the site and the gents appear to have less facilities than the ladies, as on more than one occasion there were men using the ladies showers. I wasn't very pleased about this as I have a shy teenage daughter than was put off by this. It seems that the manager didn't seem to care when this was brought to his attention. The toilets and showers were not cleaned at all in the last two days of our stay as there was the same two pieces of paper on the floor - so on that basis we will not be returning to this site.
On the plus side it is surrounded by fabulous walks and there are one or two good pubs around - our dog certainly loved it!

We spent a week at this site at the beginning of august 2 adults and 3 children. The site is very free and easy and the owners and wing the accountant (who appears to oversee everything) are very friendly, couldn't wish for better.
If visiting this site beware as we found it to be very windy as it is not far from the sea.The facilities are fairly basic with a play area in one field. There are only just enough showers and limited mens toilets. The toilets and showers are not the cleanest I have experienced at other sites and would suggest they sack the cleaners or at least leave mops and buckets for people to clean after them selves. Overall we did enjoy ourselves and the area is handy for a mixture of beaches and not far from Bournemouth.
