Stayed for 3 nights midweek during October, we selected this site for the location to Pickering.
The site was clean and tidy the pitch was a good size although the hard standing could of been wider we noticed quite a few caravans were close to the grass and at this time of year this becomes muddy.
We took our car with us as the walk to Pickering would be at least 30 mins and didn’t know what sort of bus service was available.
The pitches on black bull were hard standing with electric there were no fully serviced pitches although there was several water points around.
We had a pitch close to the toilet and shower block but if you was pitched at the bottom of the site you would be a decent walk away,
The shower and toilet block where fairly old in our opinion and the showers had the dreaded push button which belong in the eighties,
They had a Motorhome service point which you had to either reverse in or out depending on your vehicle,
The site was easy to find just off the main road and is in a good location for visiting the area,

What a great site, well set out and very well maintained, good size pitches with plenty of room for everything,
Toilets and showers were spotless, ideal location for Pickering and for Eden camp, also for Flamingoland, would highly recommend.
If I had to be critical of anything I would say that I would change the entry gate to the children's play area to the side so it doesn't open directly to the site roadway but that is only a minor detail to be fair, well done all on site,
Will definitely visit again *****

We have stayed at the black bull caravan park before, loved it then and still love it now. Very clean and full covid 19 rules are in place.
The pub on site is always busy and the food is delicious, the staff are lovely and friendly. Pickering is a mile down the road with plenty of shops and a little market on mondays.
We hope to return again at some point. Trevor and alison.

Have just been back to The Black Bull campsite with our grandson, we have been visitors for quite a number of years now which I think says everything.
Toilet/showers are spotless as are the portaloos at the bottom of the field. Site is very well maintained with good sized private pitches.
Good value for money and staff are really friendly and helpful.
Site is in a good location with easy access to Scarborough and Whitby and has a handy supermarket or two in Pickering, also food is excellent at the Black Bull pub.
Cannot fault this site. Keep up the good work!

We stayed at this lovely caravan park for the first time, we have 4 boys aged from 5-12!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the park itself was very well maintained. Showers and toilets were lovely and clean.
There is a play park for the children, which kept them busy and occupied!
Also has a pub on site that serves lovely food.
Highly recommend this site!

Easy to find, pleasant greeting and reasonable access to water etc.
For some unknown reason we were told to pitch right next to another motorhome when virtually the whole site was empty! It was probably done to save the grass on entry to the pitches which were quite narrow to access.
Toilet block was a fair walk and needed a code to enter, cant see that three showers and three loo's will be enough when it is busy but not likely to come then. Push button showers!
WiFi is free and needs to be as poor signal strength and range.
The pub is OK, good beer, well kept and the food servings are large and well priced.
They say a twenty minute walk into Pickering, very fast walking maybe and along the busy road though there is a pavement.
Buses every two hours.

Very nice campsite, easy to find and walking distance into Pickering.
Very tidy with good size, very clean toilet and shower facilities. 2 good pubs serving food two minutes away on foot.
All in all an excellent find, will definitely return.

Really nice friendly staff, could not be more happier with just how helpful they all were.
Great sized pitches - we were in a 8 man, 7. 4m x 3m - with still plenty of space outside for our things including the car!
Facilities were adequate, there was only a small single freezer but as you are only allowed ice blocks in it was sufficient space for the site. There are several washing machines and dryers (launderette type).
Toilets/Showers were clean, always had loo roll there.
The only issues was wasps/hornets, they really were a pain. This was the only issue we had that stopped it being perfect.
Will look to book again.
