Very good site with the usual standards expected and delivered
Staff really good
Shame the fish and chip shop was closed don't know the reason
The pub / carvery next door connected to the site with gate straight to the caravan site. Was good value
You can walk into Scarborough but if you take the cliff top walk the views are fab but the walking is a little hard if like us you are more senior
Will definitely visit again

This large club site is situated to the north of Scarborough. The land is undulating but the Hard Standing we had was level. I think effort has been made to keep the hard standings so. The Hard standings were not the traditional type, but made from “Hex” plastic in the grass. So it did feel like you were on grass but the ground was firm. There were several wash blocks dotted about the site, so you didn’t have far to go. The one nearest to us, the shower temperature was on the cold side, but we did not have too far to walk for a different block. The Site team were made aware of this. Being a large site there is a large team to keep it running, more site assistants than I think I have ever seen! Handy for all the attractions of Scarborough and not too far from Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. On site Fish n Chip shop is closed but next to site, with a gate from the site, is a Crown Carvery. (Cheap & Cheerful pub food). There was some noise from the building site next door, but nothing we found intrusive.

Arrived here without booking but no problems. Level site with lots of hookups, fresh water points etc. Also motorhome service point. Brilliant facilities. Toilets and showers clean, lots of hot water. Dog walk was near and very good, dog owners all very responsible re cleaning up and keeping on leads etc.
We walked to sea life centre, thought it was expensive for what there is there but I suppose they need money to rescue the sea animals!
We then walked from there into town, very nice walk down to North Bay. Had fish and chips, ice cream etc then got taxi back, cost us £6. 50, as grandson getting tired.
Had a great time, can't recommend this site enough, thank you so much to your excellent staff for a lovely, we'll run site. We will be visiting again.

I agree with all the positive reviews here, its a very good site,
I just wanted to make folk aware that a large building project has begun in the very next field to the site,
The diggers are currently right up to the adjoining hedge doing excavations.
A new roundabout has been installed on the field lane to the left of the site entrance.
It will be interesting to see what impact the building works (new housing estate)will have on the site i. E. Views and noise

We spent 5 nights at this site and would highly recommend it. The location is great, within walking distance of Scarborough, along the cliff path. The site is extremely well kept and there are many facilities. The toilet block consists of toilets, separate private washing facilities and showers. These were kept immaculate by the staff. The staff were always around and very pleasant and helpful.
We will definitely be returning.

We visited this site for the first time this year. It is easy to find and not too far from Scarborough town centre.
Staff are friendly and can't do enough to accommodate you.
There are several shower blocks and toilets and the motorhome service point is easy to navigate.
Site offers facilities for kids as well as grown ups, with a chippy/cafe on the site and a pub next door (with a gate leading straight to it).
It is a good 15 min walk to the nearest beach and the site boasts some of the most glorious views of the East Yorkshire countryside.

Scarborough club site has been a regular destination for several years & we have always enjoyed a warm welcome & a pleasant stay. As this site is reasonably local, we often arrive before 12:00 and up to now, have always been warmly welcomed & sited with ease, efficiency & exceptionally pleasant staff. However, it seems the regime has changed in Scarborough & the welcome (such as it was) from the lady on reception (who startlingly turned out to be a senior team member) was at best described as icy. On approaching reception to book in, the greeting was incredibly frosty and sharp; pretty much 'you're too early. It's not 12:00' - how nice! I could understand to a degree if the site had been busy but there were many members of staff around reception chatting. We were grudgingly booked in & were eventually shown the pitch by a very helpful & obliging member of the team which was much more like what we'd become used to. Everyone barring the one staff member was very cheerful & helpful. Such a pity this one person marred the experience. One of the most expensive club sites as well, so you'd expect decent service.
Thankfully, the rest of the stay was very pleasant indeed. The toilet & shower facilities were always clean & water consistently hot. There are 2 kids play areas, a basic but sizeable games room & a separate area for ball games at the back of the site. A very good pub is located on the edge of the site (Scalby Mill) which does a good carvery for just over 4 pounds if the weather turns or you fancy a change from campsite cuisine. Some nice walks along the cliff tops easily accessible from the site. The seafront & Sea Life Centre can be reached on foot or if you enjoy longer walks, Scarborough town or the south bay are good walks, but there are cafes for pit-stops along the way. There is a Tesco Express store just up the hill heading towards town - 2 mins in the car or 10 min walk.
Not sure how this is progressing but when we were there, developers were starting to build on the land next door. We were not disturbed by it on this occasion but may be wise to check when you book.

Spent a Saturday and Sunday night here. Lovely open, spacious site. Plenty of space between pitches. Lots of the pitches are sloping but ours was pretty level. Five toilet/shower blocks. Very clean facilities. Had to wait a little to use a shower and use dish washing area but site was more or less full and it wasn't too much of a wait. Across the main road and through two fields (watch for the dog mess) and you're on the edge of the cliffs and can walk into Scarborough on the Cleveland Way or North towards Ravenscar and Whitby. The walk to Scarborough takes about 20 mins and brings you out near the sea life centre. Had chips from the chippy on site but wasn't impressed. It was very windy when we were there but there's some shelter from the trees surrounding the site.

We stayed on this site for two nights arrived Friday and had a very friendly welcome from the reception staff very helpful and jolly- we were directed to where we were going to pitch our tent there was a group of three of us 2 tents and a motorhome and we were pitched altogether we were near to the toilet blocks which were adequate for our needs clean and well stocked with two showers also some individual cubicles with wash basins also a hairdryer which took 20p coins.
The dishwashing facilities were nice and clean and never encountered any queues for dishwashing or showers. My husband did use another toilet block and said they were much nicer than the ones near us but I have no complaints about the facilities that were near us.
Although this is a very big site we did in no way feel crammed in at all, the site is very well kept no litter anywhere and very well maintained grounds.
There is a Crown Carvery just a very short distance away through a little gate which is cheap and cheerful meals where very reasonable and friendly staff.
There is a bus stop just outside the site and we caught the bus into Scarborough we bought a return ticket the bus on Saturday is approx. 11. 00 am but please be aware that the bus back from Scarborough on a Saturday is at 1. 05pm approx (please do check) which we weren't told by the driver we managed to catch a bus to the Ivanhoe pub and the site is not far really you can cut through the Crown Carvery pub.
There is also a Tesco Express near to the Ivanhoe Pub and a filling station too.
We didn't venture any further than that so cant comment on any other attractions etc nearby.
There is a shop on site also a fish & chip shop which I believe sells other snacks.
All in all we had a lovely stay at this site and would be happy to recommend it and we would most definitely stay there again and take a trip to Whitby.

Agree with the comments re site good spot near all attractions of Scarborough.
A couple of points ask for a pitch away from road as the traffic can be heard late night early morning.
Hard standings are not what I expected i. R. Gravel, they where plastic sheeting under the surface so you are still stepping onto mud if it had been raining.
Good site though
