A very welcoming and well run site. The staff were extremely efficient when guiding us to our pitch even though several units had arrived at the same time. We were given a choice of places even though the site was very busy. The small cafe and take-away was open in the mornings for breakfast and also in the evenings with a good selection of dishes. The facilities were very clean and well looked after with several blocks around the site. A 30 minute walk along the cliff top Cleveland Way took us to the North Bay with its attractions and then you have a choice of either walking around the headland or climbing up to the castle to get to the south bay to the harbour and more commercialised part of Scarborough. Definitely a site we will be visiting again.

I have again been to this site several times. It is a large site but doesn't feel large. The location is just outside Scarborough and in pleasant surroundings. All amenities are good and even a motorhome service point which is well designed for easy use. Staff usually can't do enough and are very polite and friendly. Pitches generous and level with hardstanding available. This is in the form of both grass through mesh and traditional gravel. Highly recommended

A well organised site and the staff were very helpful in locating a pitch for us during the busy Spring Bank Holiday period. Very good amenities, plenty of toilet blocks, showers and washing up facilities. Added bonus was the site shop that served hot food. As we took the grandchildren on this trip we were very pleased with the facilities on the play areas. This site was enjoyed by us all, and the grandchildren want to return this year.

Although this is a huge campsite, you never get the feeling of lines of tents and caravans. The site is divided into different fields/areas each with its own toilet block and facilities.
We found the toilet block we were using to be of a good standard and very clean.
The kids enjoyed both play areas and the site had a safe feeling.
The location is great, just out of town but a 15 minute walk to the beach. Our 5 year old managed the without too many issues.
We visited the pub next door which has an outdoor play area and seating area. The pub does a Food which was ok. Five minutes down the road is a Tesco express which had a good section of chilled drinks.
The staff were all very good and always around to help. We will return.

Bank Holiday at the seaside! Just come back from two nights at Scarborough CCC; not the first time we’ve stayed there but the first review.
This is a large site with grass pitches on the outskirts (15min walk) of town. Facilities are what you’d expect at a club site – toilet / shower blocks (I think there are three), dish wash and laundry room, chemical waste disposal, motor home waste point, water points, information room, games room; even a cafe which serves breakfast and fish ‘n’ chips (we had bacon butties for breakfast one morning). There is also a field specifically for tents, a children’s play area and a separate enclosed field for dog walking but with the cliff top walk being only a matter of minutes away, we tended to walk our two off site.
With it being a Bank Holiday weekend and the British weather being good for a change, the site was full, even to the extent that the wardens appeared to be cramming units in where ever they could. Although not spoiling our time whilst we were there, a couple of
minor negatives point (for us); the warden who was directing us where to pitch was a bit abrupt as we didn’t follow his (unclear) instructions (should have stopped changing his mine) and the shower block (at least the males) that was closest to our pitch, although clean and functionally was starting to look a tad tired and could do with an overhaul.
Fifteen minutes walking from site along the cliff tops will see you at the North Bay (walk the other from site and you’ll be heading towards Whitby). Plenty to do if you want to stay around the North Bay with the Sealife Centre, mini golf and miniature railway. Or you could either walk along the coastal road or take the open top bus (if you’re feeling lazy) under the castle to the South Bay which is the more commercialised area and a typical seaside resort with boat trips out of the harbour.
All in all, Scarborough has something to keep everyone happy and despite the negative comments, we will be going back.

Just returned from 3 night stay.
Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Site was quite busy considering the time of year. All the facilities were very clean at all times. The on site Fish & chip shop was open in the evenings, which was a bonus as being October we didn't expect.
Fantastic weather helped and encouraged us to do some walking up the Cleveland Way (Coast footpath) which is only a 5 minutes from the campsite. Also walked down to the North Bay - again only a 30-40 minute walk across the cliff tops.
Great time - will be back. Thanks

Even at the back end of a long season, this site still boasts a friendly, helpful team of staff. We stayed here in October and the Site was still relatively well used. Its strengths are more apparent with lower occupancy:-
Plenty of convenient, clean toilets, washrooms and dishwashing facilities
Lots of open space
Good facilities and plenty to do in town
Excellent location.
Not our first visit here, it won't be our last

The missus, the dog and me are on a two week tour of north england and we stayed here for three nights first, and what a really nice site it is too, , it ticked all the boxes for us as we have the dog, like a nice walk and a pint. First of all on arrival the members of staff were spot on very helpful and informative (especially Ade) the showers are plentiful, clean and work perfectly. Nice walk through the field down to the clifftop to north bay. First bar on the list was nice (old scalby mill) or similar, , quite expensive, but ya on ya holidays, , all in all a nice experience, Thank you

After a number of problems sorting out the booking (as new members we'd personally suggest contacting Camping and Caravanning Club sites directly, rather than booking centrally) my husband, myself and our Yorkshire Terrier had a very pleasant two night stay on this site.
Even though it was a busy Bank Holiday and we were near both the cafe and toilet blocks, the site was surprisingly peaceful and quiet and there was a choice of acceptably level grass pitches with EHU for our old VW camper.
The facilities were clean and modern with no queuing for showers, despite the site being almost at capacity. Dog walking facilities were excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed the cliff top walk to Scarborough North Bay.
All our favourite places on the North Yorkshire coast were within easy reach - we visited Filey and had a glorious day walking from Ravenscar to Robin Hood's Bay along the coastal path, returning via the disused railway line now designated as a cycle path. We'll definitely return to this site.

Spent a super week at this large, busy but pleasant and peaceful site. The friendly staff accommodated our fussy requirements (near loos but not too near play areas!) with good humour, and we were given a slightly sloping but spacious pitch.
We were shown where to access the nearby pub, clifftop walk and dog walking field, as well as the usual facilities, which we found to be plentiful and consistently clean. We never had to queue for showers and hot water was always available.
The on-site fish and chip shop was very welcome on the first night, and we were shown where to find bricks for subsequent barbecues. Not having electric hook-up, we were disappointed to have to pay for using the site's ice blocks (50p a time) rather than being able to re-freeze our own, but given the size of the site perhaps this was understandable.
This site is well placed for visiting Scarborough and we will definitely be back soon.
