Booked this site at short notice (30min) after being let down by another site. This is a very large site but has plenty of facilities to cope with the size plenty of showers and toilets. The pitches are slightly sloped and there is plenty of EHU points. Staff were very friendly and for a site so large 300+ units! it was remarkably quiet at night you could almost hear a pin drop after 10pm!. We ate the first night at the Crown Carvery pub (Scalby Manor) reached from its own path from the campsites SE border food was great but tables and plates were not as clean as we would of liked and they ran out of ice for drinks. There is a fish and chip take-away and cafe on the site and the food was great. It's about 15-20min walk to another pub and Tesco's Express on the road south, Buses to Whitby from the main road about 20min west and a nice pleasant 40min walk into Scarborough itself. A taxi from Scarborough Railway station cost about £6. 80.
All in all a great site, don't be put off by the size of the site the 6m rule applies so plenty of space. The only thing we couldn't find was where to empty the toilet think there is only one for whole site.

The site is clean well looked after and safe children loved it not to far from shops the wardens are very helpful as a family man I would recommend this site ere are three buses a day to and from Scarborough from the site gate or a few minutes walk away from the site there is a circular bus service that runs every 15 Minutes to Scarborough.
The site is up to the usual C&CC high standard plus it has a hot food take away on site and direct access to a good pub which sells food from 11:00am to late.
It is a large site but has a number of shower blocks dotted around so you are never far away. They could have been a bit warmer this time of year but in the summer that would not be a problem. There are two children's play areas and plenty of room to enjoy themselves. Staff were very friendly and helpful

On arrival we made our way into Reception, close inside the main gate. We felt we were encroaching on a party- there were at least 8 wardens (talk about overkill!) behind the counter - several with wine glasses in hand, but the friendly 'wardens' greeting us with a smile and explained the booking in system.
Man on push-bike escorted us to a pitch, having already enquired if we had any preferences as to where we wanted to pitch - bit difficult when you don't know what the options were, other than needing to be nearish to the dog walk. Pleased with pitch in end, which was of CCC hard-standing variety.
There seems to be an abundance of toilet blocks - 4, I think we counted. Did not use showers as used own in van but the toilets were clean and there was a well-used outside dish washing area that campers seemed to to be making good use of. Also noticed a BBQ shelter.
Very useful M'Home service area, although for the chemical toilet waste area, there seems to be just one for the whole site and is tucked away at a block near the Recreation room (co-incidentally, never saw anyone in there).
We liked the nearness of the site to the coastal path (Cleveland Way) where you could cross the road through a gate/ gap in hedge. Choice was towards Scalby / North Bay or towards Ravenscar. Views are superb and we had generally good weather so made the most of the choice.
Campers were flocking to the bungalow near to the Reception area, where a cafe served breakfasts & fish & chips, pies etc. We didn't partake as we had stocked up with supplies before leaving home, however the numbers of people using it were a testimony to the popularity & the quality.
Almost next door to the site is a pub/ eatery - very handy with pathway leading from the site.
All in all, a site in a great position with good facilities. We will go back again as we only had 2 nights as it was a weekend escape.

Really really nice site!
We had a bad start to our week here with electric problems but arriving late on Saturday night, we had very little choice of pitches.
We ended up against the main road. But to be fair it wasn't that noisy!
We were told we could move after the weekend but decided to stay where we were, and only heard the main road noise a couple of times, late at night.
Good takeaway on site, recommend the fish & chips.
Pub next door with access from the site serves decent well priced meals.
2 children's playgrounds on site both my kids had to be dragged away some nights.
My wife lost some jewellery ( don't know when or where) but the wardens asked every day if we'd found it, when I went to collect my newspaper from reception.
Very busy when we went, but hey it was school holidays!

Spent 3 weeks here to cover the bank holiday. Although sloping and needing chocks it has so many site managers or helpers to this 300 pitch site, they were needed as if the weather was better the pitches would guarantee to be full. You must book this site not just turn up or you could well be disappointed.
Clean facilities and kept an eye on many times a day. Then having a lot of people working there helps.
The back gate to the carvery restaurant for either breakfast or all other meals was good value for your money.
Not travelling too far for a big park Peasholm. Good for all ages.
Plenty of places to visit whether far or near. Always having something for everyone going on.
Walkers catered for including ones with dogs.
Too big for our usual likes but talking to others people keep going back time & time again so that speaks for itself.

This was our 3rd visit within last two years as our 7 & 10 year old boys love it here. It has two play areas as well as space to play football. We had some terrible rainy weather during the evenings so the children kept themselves entertained in the games room.
Th toilet blocks are always well maintained and there are several within the camp. The shop only sells basics but there are a couple of small supermarkets within two miles and larger ones in Scarborough which is about 4 miles away.
The pitches are always a decent size and we always get EHU which are plentiful on this site.
The location is great for the East Coast especially Scarborough, Whitby & Filey.
This site is great for families & we have never had any issues with noise after 11pm. No doubt we will visit again next year.

This is a large, busy site but it is easy to relax. Scarborough has something for everyone. This is a cheap option when visiting as the hotel selection is poor in the town and expensive too. Toilets were fine and water supply always hot. We ate in in town or cooked so didn't try the food on site. The walks are beautiful and we didn't see any dog mess when walking along the path. I love the cliffs and feeling of space. I also love the Victorian architecture in town then coming back to the peace of the site. I'd stay herre again. Good value for pitches too. Staff were helpful and always had a smile.

Just spent four nights here and although the weather was wet and windy we found plenty to do. From the site you can walk to the beach at Scalby Mills and visit the Sea Life Centre and/or walk or get the little train to Scarborough North Bay.
There is a sustrans cycle track that can be accessed from Scalby village that follows the route of the disused railway line into Scarborough town centre. (No hills)

Have to agree with previous reviews that this time the site has gone down hill.
We arrived on the Thursday lunchtime before the Easter weekend so there wasn't too many vans and only a couple of tents so the facilities should of been spotless but weren't and as for the toilet/shower block I got hubby to push the windows shut on the Thursday as it was freezing.
I never showered in the shower/toilet block due to it only having this little type heater in which hubby said was only to keep the frost off.we used the family bathroom and let the shower run to warm it up before showering so that it wasn't to0 bad.
The site this time was also very noisy with the bins emptied at 7am and people shouting and banging car doors etc.
We would return and probably will as it is nice location for Scarborough but will ask for a pitch well away from reception
Also found out that this site is owned by the council and the c/c club only rent it off them so I don't know if this has anything to do with the heating situation on site

We've been to this Site a few times before but this was a bit of a disappointment.
All of the toilet blocks were freezing cold, due mainly to all the windows in both male & female sides being wide open and a small heater totally unable to compensate. We weren't sure why the windows were open but could understand they might want to get some fresh air at times, not 24hours/day. The dishwashing areas also seemed less clean than usual. For example, for ~2 days, one sink was blocked with Sugar Puffs - either the only meal someone ate or the sinks weren't getting cleaned. Other Club sites can meet the standards, why not Scarborough on this occasion.
Otherwise, as usual, a well located Site for walking (~45 mins by direct route) into town or catching a bus, a well stocked shop and help locating your pitch.
Still seems odd there's only one motorhome service point and so few chemical toilet points on such a large site. Worth thinking about Club?
