Lovely site, really clean and tidy. Toilets/showers immaculate for a campsite and rarely anyone in them due to the site being mainly caravans.
Great views of the hills and watching the trains. It was a little noisy with train and road noise but this didn’t bother us. We were a family with young children wanting to play, which wasn’t a problem but as the camping area is not large, the space was limited when more campers arrived. However we knew this to be that case when we booked and the kids had a great time on the site.
We got the train from Bamford to Edale (10 mins) which they enjoyed and we had a walk/lunch. Also went swimming at Hathersage pool which is 5min drive away.

Our second stay here. It's a lovely site and Pam is very friendly.
Great facilities - showers are clean and warm. Good COVID precautions too.
The site is perfect for climbing in the Hathersage area.
We'll definitely be back :)

We had a lovely shaded pitch on the hottest few days of the year. Right next to the river with a gate to a riverside bench under the trees.
Facilities lovely and clean and with sensible covid restrictions still in place helping to keep folk safe.
The whole site is beautifully kept and well spaced pitches.
We were not concerned by the trains and plan to return in a few weeks.

We had a great time at this camping site. The host made us feel very welcome. The facilities were clean and the radio in the bathroom was an added bonus. It was also nice to have a place to wash clothes and cutlery.
We liked having benches to sit on away from our tents so that we could enjoy the lovely weather and views.
It was also handy being near a petrol station and we were a short drive from most of the sites we wanted to visit.
All in all, it was great value for money and we would definitely come again!

Very nice site. Owner was very friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. Site was very clean and well maintained.
Toilet block was clean and the little added touch of listening to the radio when you walk in was a nice bonus. Nice to hear music whilst in the shower
Pitch was very nice and all electric and amenities were close at hand.
The only downside is the train line that is very close to the site. Didn’t bother me during the day but trains do run through the night which if you are not a heavy sleeper it may wake you - as it did me.
Other than that the site was very nice and great location for walking to places - even from the site ie up to ladybower res.

Really well maintained site, very clean facilities, friendly staff.

The owners of this campsite are so kind. We arrived late on Friday night and upon trying to start my van again, it decided it had had enough. Without batting an eyelid the owners came to the rescue and towed my to my pitch.
The campsite is beautifully laid out. Facilities are fantastic, clean and modern. Everything was easy and simple from booking to staying.
Lots of reviews complain about the train line but it didn't bother us. Will definitely stay here again. Thanks

We found the site very well kept and clean, and the staff very friendly.
The local train station is only a few minutes walk away and very convenient for getting into Sheffield and the Peak District without having to de-camp our campervan.
We would certainly return here again.
