The campsite was perfect for the weekend great site very clean and tidy.

It is well situated for exploring the local area by foot or bicycle.

We will definitely be going back again.

Right next to the railway line, very noisy all night every night.

Had a hard standing that became waterlogged. Didn’t see the site owner/ manager the whole stay.

Good location and lovely river running alongside. The local community pub was great nice and friendly.

Excellent campsite! Very clean, tidy and pretty. Warm greet from the owners of the site, very welcoming.

Done an exceptional job with social distancing.

I will go there again soon! :-)

Very friendly couple who run this site. Nothing is to much trouble.

Fantastic walks from the site. Local pubs in walking distance, great food.

Clean site.

No rowdy groups and no dogs aloud which is great ! Can’t stand yappy dogs at 7am and drunk loud youths at 12 midnight ! Being there done that, Past all that 🤪

Second time here, it has to be one of our favourite sites.

Lovely site. very well looked after. just don’t forget your ear plugs ! Train line is close & seems to have more trains running than Paddington station after hours.

Others wise would recommend

Such a friendly campsite. I got a lovely welcome and good communication beforehand about the Covid restrictions.

Had a very peaceful stay. Will always be my first choice for a Peaks stay.

A lovely little campsite that was very clean and tidy and in a great location for exploring the surrounding area. We were met on arrival by the lovely campsite owner and was shown to our pitch.

The campsite is classed as 'quiet' so there were no play areas for children but there was a nice green with picnic benches that could be used.

Our only BUT was the train line that runs alongside the campsite which kept us awake at night. Remember a good pair of earplugs!

We only gave a 5 for facilities as showers and toilets were not open when we visited. The usual waste disposal facilities were available and were in good, clean order. (Bit of a trek to the toilet waste facility!)

The village has a lovely play park, garden centre, pub, cafe and post office. Also a 24 hour garage a 5 minute walk away that has gas bottles.

We enjoyed our short stay despite the current restrictions and circumstances.

The site is well laid out and gives access to many local opportunities.

Recommended.

Lovely place, very friendly and helpful owners.

Not such good access to the river for fishing, waders needed.

Trains can be a bit annoying especially in the middle of the night
