Although I don't think the site officially takes tents these days, I had a lovely little spot for my one person tent for the night. I think they are fine with smaller tents.
Yes, there is a train line near by but it didn't cause me any problems over night.
The site is very clean. I spotted the toilets & showers being cleaned on several occasions on my short stay.
Booking was really simple, a quick email/phone call with the really friendly and helpful owner.
Lots of water taps, a washing up area and a handy shop/petrol station just round the corner. The site is very close to Bamford train station.
Thanks and look forward to staying again :-)

Fantastic site, I was really happy with my cute pitch.
Toilets and showers were spotless, couldn’t fault anything at all.
I will be recommending it to friends.
Wish I could have stayed longer but only needed the one night in between my navigation course in the peaks.

Well cared for site, greeted and welcomed then had facilities explained to us. Had large spotless hard standing pitch with electric and water close by.
Ample pot washing facilities and 2 toilet/shower blocks that had attendants cleaning them regularly. The hand dryer wasn't working in one but didn't know if it had been reported.
Some mess in toilets but that was down to misuse by visitors. Static homes all very tidy and cared for.
Village easy walking distance and lots to see and do. Only gripe was road noise that was there unusually all through the night but not continuous.
Lovely site in all, enjoyable.

Very clean and peaceful site with good quality facilities.
Owners and other visitors were polite and friendly.
Great location with access to the peaks and rail links to Sheffield and Manchester.
Unfortunately loud building work started at 8. 30am which we weren’t told about in advance.

Very Warm welcome. Clean facilities would highly recommend.
We had a small tent and were fitted in, in a small spot perfect for what we needed. Space for car and not too close to others.
Well spaced areas for motor homes and caravans.
Great location for all the peek area.
Friendly and helpful staff.
Hope there will be space for us again

A great site convenient for walking, cycling.
Close to the train station and bus stops.
The river is tantalising but not accessible though the weir at Bamford Mill is delightful.
The site will soon be for park homes rather than touring vans.
Make the most of it.

This was the 2nd time I'd stayed at Swallowholme caravan site.
We received a warm welcome, the site was well kept and pitches are level.
The toilet block has free showers and was immaculate.
This is a dog free site which we prefer.
The site is ideally situated for exploring the northern end of the Peak District.
We would recommend.
