Beautifully kept site. Good location. Excellent hosts, attended to any niggles immediately.
Very helpful and pleasant.
Would come again. Not a child friendly site due to river & train line running next to it.

Absolutely lovely small site. Well kept and quiet (except for the road and train noise which you hardly notice). As previous reviewers have said the trains don't run overnight although there is road noise.
Extremely well kept and friendly owners. Tents are sometimes allowed if you ring up. There is a small field with electric hook up. The majority of the site is long term rentals with further hard standing for tourers and motorhomes.
No play area for children so best suited to adults and older children. There is a large field for games outside the site just up the road.
Location is excellent with Bamford, Hathersage, Hope and castleton all on your doorstep. Plenty of buses and/or taxis to get about. Site is also next to Bamford station.

Small, simple, site. Has all the things that are important to us, none of the things we don't use.
Very affordable. No "extra costs" which we like.
It's very clean and neat. Have stayed here before and will stay again.
Easy walking distance to a 24 hour convenience store, and yet in a lovely rural location :)

We had a lovely stay!
The campsite is in such a lovely place with a pub, Nisa and gorgeous walks right on the doorstep.
It was handy for us to be so close to the train station too.
It's also nice and central to drive to some awesome climbs and walks and a cream tea in Hathersage!
The toilets are so lovely and we felt completely safe from a covid point of view.
Also the ground is awesome for pitching tents, there were barely any stones, the pegs went in a dream but it still drained well when it rained.

Great location as you can start many walks from this area and call also walk up to the Anglers Rest pub (5-10mins) or hop on a train.
Nice setting with views of the surrounding hills and a river nearby. You do get trains passing but didn't bother me.
Very friendly too and very suitable/clean facilities.

Nice site. No problems at all.
The trains did not bother us, wifi was okay too.
The road through the village is extremely busy, could do with a zebra crossing but this is not any fault of the campsite.
Pub in the village did a really nice meal
We will re visit in the future.
