A lovely campsite with friendly, helpful hosts.
The site is very clean and well kept with pretty borders and foliage around each unit space.
Plenty of nice walks close by, Bamford Edge worth a visit for the spectacular views across the ‘peak’
Can’t comment on facilities as COVID closed.
Train station nearby, a bit noisy.
Would camp here again. 🙂

Lovely site, with a couple of issues. Firstly, you cant ignore that trains go past, but we quickly got used to it and ignored it. The trains are also one of the sites strengths in that Sheffield or Manchester are in easy reach.
The only other fly in the ointment is a lack of a drive over grey water station. Again, if it bothered you, don't go. Didn't bother us at all. Everything on the site is clean and well thought out.
Apart from the above, you have a very well sorted site, in a nice village, with a wonderful pub and the most amazing views.
If you like walking, Bamford Edge gives some of the best views you'll find in England, and there are so many more walks to do.
We will happily go back in future. Enjoyed very much

Lovely extremely clean site with good sized plots.
Railway line was just behind us but didn’t put us off or loose any sleep as other reviews commented on
Would stay again in the future
Toilets and shower blocks closed due to covid so can’t comment
Overall a very nice camp site.

Very tidy site, well looked after.
Toilet block was closed due to covid-19 and so I cannot comment on this.
Great location for visiting castleton, Lady bower and Edale.
We would happily return to this site, but with ear plugs next time due to the frequent trains passing by late at night and early morning.

Really enjoyed the situation of this site. Able to visit all the surrounding beautiful villages in 3 days. Very clean.
Would recommend highly for those who want to experience the best of Derbyshire.
Obviously, due to covid, the facilities were closed, so cannot rate those, but had no problem as we had our own facilities.
There was a handy shop at the bottom of the road, plus a bus stop and railway handy. Visited the local pub for a meal.
Would definitely visit this site again in the future.

Site was very neat and tidy,
Although not met in person on arrival a lovely note on the envelope with all the relevant site and local information inside was more than adequate for our all too short stay.
No wash facilities open however we were made aware of this prior to booking.
